Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for controlling an electrical appliance with a plurality of electrical consumers, for example, a Kochfel ⁇ of, and a corresponding device thereto.
  • a switch arrangement for controlling a cooktop is known.
  • a selection switch is provided, with which a hotplate or an associated consumer is selected for a subsequent power setting. After selecting a particular consumer, its power can be increased or reduced via the switches.
  • the switch with which the consumer has been selected has a further function. In fact, it is designed to subsequently change, for example increase, the power in one direction, for example by further actuation. In this case, however, still another switch is needed, which is Dublinbil ⁇ det for all Ver ⁇ consumers to adjust the power in the other direction.
  • the invention has for its object to provide an aforementioned Ver ⁇ drive and to provide such a device with which the Prob ⁇ lems of the prior art can be avoided and in particular the performing functionality of individual controls ver ⁇ can be improved and their number can be advantageously reduced.
  • the control of the electrical appliance via a control device, which has a plurality of control elements.
  • the control elements or the control device have different functional levels or functional modes, in which the control elements have different functionalities or can trigger functions. This can be assigned to them by the control method when an operator operates various controls.

  • Another operating element at the same time has the functionality with which an increased power can be set on a selected consumer.
  • an operator is presented with the method of the control in such a way that, via actuation of a control element, a selected desired consumer is selected.
  • the stator device jumps, as it were, into the second operating level and some operating elements change their functionality.
  • the selected consumer can then be set or changed with regard to its performance or, under certain circumstances, also other properties, such as a multi-circuit function or timer function.
  • the advantage of these different operating levels with changing functionalities of the operating elements is that the number of operating elements can be greatly reduced, which reduces the production costs and also the space required for the control device. Furthermore, the number of possible operating elements to be operated can be reduced. This simplifies the operation or control for an operator since it can be done intuitively if the choice of possibilities is less. In the above example, therefore, there is no question at all for an operator as to whether an increase in performance or a reduction should be made immediately, since these functions are not offered at all, but only after a selection. Thus, a control method with a kind user guidance can be created.
  • the consumer is divided functionally and electrically into separately switchable subunits, which, if they are to be activated, respectively activated together or in the same way.

  • a selection of which of these subunits should actually be activated or not can take place by means of further operating or selection processes, especially in another operating level. This has, for example, in the aforementioned case of a hotplate with several switchable zones of a hob on the advantage that for an operator er ⁇ clearly only once the hotplate is selected and then selected, in exactly what kind it should be activated.
  • each user is assigned exactly one operating element by means of which it is selected. This makes a direct selection possible.

  • the control device after switching on the electrical device, automatically changes to the first operating level, which thus represents a ground state. With regard to the other operating levels, it may be provided that after a certain time the control device changes to the basic state without modification or actuation. Such a period of time can be in the range of a few seconds. This will be explained by an example.
  • an optical display can be provided, in particular a light-emitting display.
