Description
- Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Geschoss, insbesondere auf ein Übungsgeschoss, mit einem Geschosskörper, der eine beim Auftreffen des Geschosses auf ein Ziel berstende hohle Ogive aufweist, in der ein Markierungsstoff, insbesondere ein Farbpulver aufgenommen ist, wobei der Markierungsstoff beim Auftreffen des Geschosses auf das Ziel und nach Bersten der Ogive zur Markierung des Auftreffpunktes freigesetzt wird.
- Bei einer Übungsmunition, z. B. einem Übungsgeschoss oder einer Übungsbombe, die selbst keine scharfe Sprengladung aufweist, ist es wichtig, den Ort des Auftreffens auf das Ziel kenntlich zu machen, damit optimale Übungsergebnisse erreicht werden.
- Hierzu weist das Geschoss an der Spitze eine hohle Ogive auf, in der der Markierungsstoff, z. B. ein rötliches Farbpulver aufgenommen ist. Die Ogive ist aus einem Material, z. B. Kunststoff gefertigt, das beim Auftreffen auf das Ziel birst, wodurch das Farbpulver freigesetzt wird. Der Farbstoff wird in einem gewissen Radius um den Auftreffpunkt verstreut, wird zusätzlich durch Wind verweht und zeigt so deutlich den Auftreffpunkt optisch an.
- Geschosse der hier in Rede stehenden Art sind z. B. mittelkalibrige Geschosse mit einem Kaliber von 40 mm, die in einem Gurt montiert sind und aus einer Schnellfeuerkanone in Serie abgeschossen werden.
- Ein Beispiel für ein solches Geschoss zeigt die
WO 03/048675 Figuren 1A und 1B . Das in dieser Anmeldung beschriebene Geschoss weist eine Ogive auf, in der ein Farbpulver und mehrere Behälter für chemolumiszente Komponenten aufgenommen sind. Beim Auftreffen des Geschosses auf ein Ziel bricht die Ogive auf, sodass das Farbpulver freigesetzt wird. Gleichzeitig werden die Behälter mit den chemolumineszenten Komponenten ebenfalls aufgebrochen, sodass sich die darin enthaltenen Komponenten vermischen und Chemoluminenz erzeugen. Somit wird beim Auftreffen des Geschosses auf ein Ziel der Aufschlagpunkt einmal durch das Farbpulver und zum Anderen durch den Lichteffekt aufgrund der Reaktion der chemolumineszenten Materialien markiert. - Bei der Hantierung derartiger Geschosse, z. B. beim Eingurten, kommt es vor, dass durch Aufschlagen auf ein Hindernis die Ogive des Geschosses aufbricht so dass der Markierungsstoff, insbesondere ein Farbpulver, zumindest teilweise freigesetzt wird und das z. B. in dem Gurt befindliche Geschoss ausgetauscht werden muss.
- Schlimmer ist es, wenn z. B. das Schloss der Schnellfeuerkanone dejustiert ist: In einem solchen Fall kann die Ogive des Geschosse innerhalb des Schlosses aufgeschlagen werden, wodurch wiederum das Farbpulver freigesetzt und das Innere der Waffe durch diesen Markierungsstoff kontaminiert wird. Die Waffe muss danach zeitraubend gereinigt werden. Im Übrigen kann eine solche Dejustierung bei einer scharfen Munition, die ja aus der selben Waffe verschossen wird, zu einer Ladehemmung führen.
- Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, einen Bruch der Ogive mit gleichzeitigem Austreten des Markierungsstoffes zu verhindern.
- Eine weitere Aufgabe ist es bei einem Bruch der Ogive innerhalb eines Schlosses einer Waffe eine Kontamination der Waffe zu verhindern.
- Gemäß der Erfindung wird ein Geschoss der eingangs erwähnten Art angegeben, in dessen hohler Ogive ein Markierungsstoff aufgenommen ist, wobei der Markierungsstoff mit einer beim Auftreffen des Geschosses auf das Ziel berstenden zusätzlichen Schutzhaube abgedeckt ist, wobei zwischen der Ogive und der zusätzlichen Schutzhaube zumindest im Bereich der Geschossspitze ein Zwischenraum belassen wird.
- Durch die zusätzliche Schutzhaube ist der Markierungsstoff auch bei einem Aufbrechen der Ogive etwa bei unsachgemäßer Handhabung ausreichend geschützt, so dass kein Markierungsstoff austritt.
- Bevorzugt ist der Zwischenraum mit einem Füllmaterial ausgefüllt. Das Füllmaterial ist z. B. ein weicher Schaumstoff, der sich an der Innenwand der Ogive und der Außenwand der Schutzhaube abstützt. Das Füllmaterial dient im Wesentlichen dazu, etwaige Splitter beim Aufbrechen der Ogive aufzufangen, die ansonsten die Schutzhaube beschädigen könnten.
- Wenn z. B. durch eine Dejustierung des Schlosses einer Schnellfeuerwaffe die Ogive im Schloss beschädigt wird, so wird die Waffe nicht durch austretenden Markierungsstoff kontaminiert; etwaige Splitter werden aufgefangen und es ist sogar möglich, dass das Geschoss einwandfrei abgeschossen wird.
- Im Vorhergehenden ist als Markierungsstoff nur ein z. B. rotes Farbpulver erwähnt worden. Es ist in vielen Fällen vorteilhaft, neben dem Farbpulver noch einen in der Nacht sichtbaren Stoff, z. B. ein chemolumineszentes Material zu verwenden, das in einem mehrere Abteile aufweisenden Behälter innerhalb des Farbpulvers angeordnet ist. Beim Auftreffen des Geschosses auf das Ziel wird dann auch der Behälter mit seinen Abteilen, in denen das chemolumineszente Material enthalten ist, aufgebrochen, sodass durch die Chemolumineszenzreaktion ein Leuchteffekt erzeugt wird. Mit einer solchen Kombination ist der Auftreffpunkt auf das Ziel sowohl bei Tag als auch bei Nacht sichtbar.
- Der Behälter mit seinen Abteilen für chemolumineszente Materialien kann im Übrigen, wie dieses bereits in der
EP-B1-1 183 494 vorgeschlagen ist, durch die Anfangsbeschleunigung und/oder bei Verwendung eines drallstabilisierten Geschosses durch die Zentrifugalkräfte aufgebrochen werden, so dass bei entsprechender Konstruktion des Geschosses dessen Flugbahn verfolgt werden kann. Da in dem vorliegenden Falle zwischen dem Äußeren der Ogive und dem das chemolumineszente Material aufnehmenden Behälter das Farbpulver gelegen ist, müssen geeignete Passagen innerhalb des Geschosses vorgesehen werden, damit das durch die Chemolumineszenz erzeugte Licht aus dem Geschoss geleitet wird. Hierzu können z. B. einige Bereiche des Geschosskörpers, so z. B. ein Drallband, aus transparentem Material sein, wobei dann das durch die Chemolumineszenz erzeugte Licht in einen Hohlraum des Geschosskörpers strahlt, der im Inneren des Geschosskörpers im Bereich des Drallbandes liegt. Auch geeignete optische Leiterbahnen aus transparentem Kunststoff sind hierzu möglich, wobei diese Leiter oder sonstige Passagen auch durch das Farbpulver zu entsprechend transparenten Bereichen des Geschosskörpers oder der Ogive geführt sein können. - Die Erfindung ist in Ausführungsbeispielen anhand der Zeichnung näher erläutert. In dieser stellen dar:

Figur 1 einen Querschnitt durch eine Patronenmunition aus einer Patronenhülse und einem Übungsgeschoss, das zum Markieren des Auftreffens auf ein Ziel im Innenraum der Ogive einen Markierungsstoff enthält, der mit einer Schutzhaube abgedeckt ist; -
Figur 2 eine Platte aus weichem Schaumstoff, die zwischen die Schutzhaube und die Ogive beim Geschoss gemäßFigur 1 eingesetzt ist; und -
Figur 3 einen Querschnitt durch ein zweites Ausführungsbeispiel eines Geschosses mit einem kombinierten Markierungsstoff, mit dem die Flugbahn und der Auftreffpunkt des Geschosses auf ein Ziel sowohl bei Tag als auch bei Nacht sichtbar gemacht werden kann. - In
Figur 1 ist eine Übungsmunition 1 im Querschnitt dargestellt, die ein Geschoss 2 aufweist, das in einer Patronenhülse 3 aufgenommen ist. Das Geschoss 2 weist einen Geschosskörper 4 mit einem der Patronenhülse 3 zugewandten Geschossboden 5 und einer vorderen Ogive 6 auf. In der Patronenhülse 3 ist eine Hochdruck-Treibkammer 7 angeordnet, in der eine Treibladung 8 vorgesehen ist, die nach Zündung durch ein Zündhütchen 9 abbrennt. Die Treibgase der Treibladung strömen über Überströmkanäle 10 in eine Niederdruck-Treibkammer 7a und wirken auf den Geschossboden. Bei Überschreiten eines bestimmten Gasdruckes in der Treibkammer bricht eine Sollbruchstelle S zwischen Patronenhülse und Geschoss auf, sodass das Geschoss 2 aus der Patronenhülse 3 ausgetrieben wird. - Das dargestellte Übungsgeschoss wird in der Regel aus einer Waffe mit gezogenem Lauf mit Drall verschossen, so dass am Geschosskörper 4 noch ein Drall- bzw. Führungsband 11 vorgesehen ist.
- Eine solche Übungsmunition aus Patronenhülse und Geschoss ist z. B. in dem
US-Patent 5,936,189 beschrieben. - Die Ogive 6 stützt sich auf einem Einsatz 12 im Geschosskörper ab, der senkrecht zur Längsachse A des Geschosskörpers 4 verläuft. Die Ogive 6 ist z. B. ein Kunststoffteil, ist im unteren Bereich zylindrisch und geht dann in eine gewölbeartige Haube z. B. in Form einer Kugelkalotte über. In dem hohlen Innenraum der Ogive 6 ist ein Markierungsstoff, in diesem Falle ein rotes Farbpulver 13 vorgesehen, das in einer Schutzhaube 14 aufgenommen und von dieser abgedeckt ist. Die Schutzhaube 14, die z. B. aus Polyethylenterephtalat (PET) ist, ist vollständig mit Farbstoff ausgefüllt und hat eine der Ogive etwa korrespondierende Form, d. h. einen unteren zylindrischen Teil, der eng an der Innenwand des zylindrischen Teiles der Ogive 6 anliegt und eine sich daran anschließende gewölbeartige Haube, die etwa parallel zu der Haube der Ogive verläuft. In diesem Bereich ist zwischen der Schutzhaube 14 und der Ogive 6 ein kleiner Zwischenraum 15 vorgesehen, der mit einem Füllmaterial 16 ausgefüllt ist, das sich auf der Schutzhaube 14 und der Innenwand der Ogive 15 in dem Gewölbeteil abstützt. Dieses Material 16 kann z. B. eine Platte aus einem weichen Schaumstoff sein, wie dieses in
Figur 2 dargestellt ist. Bei der Fertigung des Geschosses wird diese Schaumstoffplatte 16 in den Gewölbeteil der Ogive 6 eingelegt, wonach die Schutzhaube 14 mit dem eingefüllten Farbstoff 13 und dem Einsatz 12 in die Ogive eingesetzt wird. - Wenn, wie oben erwähnt, z. B. durch fehlerhafte Handhabe der Patrone oder durch eine Dejustierung des Schlosses der Abschusswaffe der Gewölbeteil der Ogive 6 des Geschosses 2 beschädigt wird, so wird durch den Abstand zwischen Ogive und der Schutzhaube gewährleistet, dass die Schutzhaube intakt bleibt und somit kein Farbstoff austreten kann. Der Schaumstoff hat im Wesentlichen die Funktion, etwaige Splitter der beschädigen Ogive davon abzuhalten, die Schutzhaube 14 zu beschädigen.
- In
Figur 3 ist der Querschnitt durch ein Geschoss 2 mit einem Geschosskörper 4 und einer Ogive 6 dargestellt, wobei innerhalb der Ogive in einer Schutzhaube 14 ein Farbpulver 13 gelegen ist. Wie bei dem Geschoss nachFigur 1 ist zwischen der Schutzhaube 14 und der Ogive ein Zwischenraum 15 belassen, in den eine Platte 16 aus weichem Kunststoff eingelegt ist. - Auf dem Einsatz 12, der den Boden der Ogive 6 bildet, stützt sich ein Behälter 21 ab, in dem ein Innenbehälter 22 aufgenommen ist. In dem Innenbehälter 22 und in dem Raum zwischen dem Innenbehälter und dem Behälter 21 ist jeweils ein Material aufgenommen, die bei einer Vermischung mit dem jeweils anderen Material chemolumineszent reagieren. Sobald das Geschoss auf ein Ziel auftritt, birst die Ogive 6, so dass das Farbpulver 13 freigegeben wird; gleichzeitig wird der Behälter 22 aufgebrochen, so dass die beiden Materialien miteinander reagieren und ein Leuchtsignal abgegeben wird, das im Normallichtbereich oder ggf. im IR-Bereich liegen kann und weithin gut sichtbar ist.
- Wie in dem erwähnten
US-Patent 5,936,189 angegeben, können die beiden Behälter 21 und 22 so ausgestaltet werden, dass sie bereits bei der Anfangsbeschleunigung des Geschosses und/oder bei der Drallbewegung des Geschosses gleich nach dem Start aufgebrochen werden, so dass die chemolumineszente Reaktion eingeleitet wird. Wenn das dabei erzeugte Licht nach außen aus dem Geschosskörper heraus geleitet wird, kann damit die Flugbahn des Geschosses verfolgt werden. - Eine Möglichkeit besteht darin, den Boden des Einsatzes 12 zumindest in einem Teilbereich 23 unterhalb der beiden Behälter 21 und 22 lichtdurchlässig auszugestalten, so dass das durch Chemolumineszenz erzeugte Licht z. B. in einen Hohlraum 24 des Geschosskörpers strahlt. Wenn man das im Bereich dieses Hohlraumes gelegene Führungs- bzw. Drallband 11 lichtdurchlässig gestaltet und die Wand des Hohlraumes 24 in einem Bereich 25 am Führungsband ebenfalls, so kann des Licht aus dem Hohlraum 24 nach außen austreten, sodass die Flugbahn des Geschosses nachts deutlich verfolgt werden kann.
- Es ist natürlich möglich, auch andere nach außen führende Passagen für das Licht zu finden, das aus der Chemolumineszenz entsteht; so könnte z. B. der Einsatz 12 selbst lichtdurchlässig ausgeführt werden und bis zu lichtdurchlässigen Bereichen in der Wand des Geschosskörpers reichen, sodass das Licht ebenfalls von außen wahrnehmbar ist.
Claims (8)
- Geschoss (2), insbesondere Übungsgeschoss, das neben einer Vielzahl weiterer Geschosse in einem Gurt montiert ist und aus einer mit einem Schloss versehenen Schnellfeuerkanone abgeschossen wird, mit einem Geschosskörper (4), der eine beim Auftreffen des Geschosses auf ein Ziel berstende hohle Ogive (6) aufweist, in der ein Farbpulver (13) aufgenommen ist, das beim Auftreffen des Geschosses auf das Ziel und nach Bersten der Ogive zur Markierung des Auftreffpunktes freigesetzt wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Farbpulver (13) durch eine zusätzliche Schutzhaube (14) abgedeckt ist, die in die Ogive eingesetzt ist und beim Auftreffen des Geschosses (2) auf das Ziel ebenfalls birst, wobei zwischen der Ogive (6) und der Schutzhaube (14) im Bereich der Geschossspitze ein Zwischenraum (15) belassen ist.
- Geschoss nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass in dem Zwischenraum (15) ein Füllmaterial (16) angeordnet ist, das an der Ogive (6) und der Schutzhaube (14) anliegt.
- Geschoss nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Füllmaterial (16) ein weicher Schaumstoff ist.
- Geschoss nach Anspruch 2 oder 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Füllmaterial ein plattenförmiges Teil (16) ist, dass in dem Zwischenraum (15) zwischen Schutzhaube (14) und Ogive (6) eingelegt ist.
- Geschoss nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass in dem Farbpulver (13) ein Behälter (21) aufgenommen ist, der Komponenten eines chemolumineszenten Materials enthält.
- Geschoss nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Behälter (21) für das chemolumineszente Material beim Auftreffen des Geschosses auf das Ziel birst, wodurch die Komponenten vermischt werden und Licht erzeugt wird.
- Geschoss nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Behälter (21) zwei Abteile (21, 22) aufweist, in denen die Komponenten des chemolumineszenten Materiales aufgenommen sind.
- Geschoss nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Behälter (21) für das chemolumineszente Material durch den Drall und/oder die Anfangsbeschleunigung des Geschosses aufbricht, so dass die Komponenten des chemolumineszenten Materials sich miteinander vermischen und die Chemolumineszenz erzeugt wird, und dass innerhalb des Geschosses Lichtwege (23, 24; 25, 11) vorgesehen sind, um das durch die Chemolumineszenz erzeugte Licht aus dem Geschosskörper nach außen zu leiten.
