Claims (10)

    - images containing picture elements corresponding to at least a part of the road location and to at least a part of the traffic lights are continuously detected and made available by the image detection system;
    - a vehicle driving into the road location is recognised based on the images;
    - a change of the signal of the traffic lights, in particular to red, is recognised; and
    - when a vehicle drives into the road location after the time of the change of the signal or after a time which has a preset interval to the time of the change of the signal, images containing picture elements corresponding to at least a part of the vehicle, in particular to the registration plate, are stored,
    characterised in that
