Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a collapsible ironing board, in particular a sleeve ironing board, with a parallelogram, which has two mutually parallel swivel bracket and hingedly connects a foot element and a table element together.
From the patent
From the
The ironing boards of the type mentioned on the one hand have the disadvantage that they do not provide sufficient stability in the unfolded state and in these ironing boards, the effectively usable length when ironing sleeves or trouser legs, by Aufklappmechanik (parallel guide elements) severely limited because the Aufklappmechanik only a sliding on a sleeve or a trouser leg to about half or at most allowed up to a length of 2/3 of the table element and blocks further postponement spatially.
From the international application
The invention has for its object to provide an ironing board in particular a sleeve ironing board, which is stably and reliably locked in the Aufklappposition and also offers an increased usable proportion of the ironing board when ironing sleeves or trouser legs.
The object is achieved by a collapsible ironing board, which is characterized in that a strut is provided which presses for locking the ironing board in a Aufklappstellung one of the movable parts against a repository and / or pulls, wherein the strut in the Aufklappstellung at least partially outside the parallelogram is arranged.
The ironing board according to the invention has the advantage that it can be securely and reliably locked in the unfolded position. In this case, it has been recognized according to the invention that a strut which presses at least one of the movable parts in the unfolded position against a return bearing and / or does not necessarily have to be arranged (in the side projection) within the parallelogram guide. Rather, according to the invention, the strut can be arranged so that it does not hinder the mounting of a sleeve or trouser leg. At the same time, the mutually parallel swivel bracket of the parallelogram can be arranged close to each other, preferably in the end region of the table element, where they least disturb.
In a preferred embodiment, one end of the strut is arranged in the Aufklappstellung on the table element and another end of the strut on the foot element. In the side projection onto the ironing board, preferably both ends are located outside the parallelogram formed by the parallel pivoting stirrups of the foot element and of the table element. In one variant, only one end of the strut is outside of said parallelogram.
Preferably, the strut is designed such that its connection to the table element and / or its connection to the foot element for folding the ironing board can be released and restored for fixing the ironing board in the unfolded position. In one embodiment, the strut is pivotally connected to the table element and designed such that it is releasably fixable to the foot element. In another variant, the strut is pivotally connected to the foot element and can be releasably fixed to the table element again.
Advantageously, the strut between the table element and the foot element is braced. In this case, in one advantageous embodiment, the strut can serve as a compression strut, while in another, likewise very advantageous embodiment, it can be designed as a tension strut.
The foot element has, in an advantageous, stable embodiment, a U-shaped frame. Advantageously, a connecting the arms of the U-shaped frame cross member is provided, which is preferably designed such that the strut - for example, on the cross member supporting or hooking to the cross member - permanently or temporarily fixed.
In a particularly preferred embodiment variant, the strut in the unfolded position at a different angle to the table element, as the swivel bracket. The position of the strut can be advantageously chosen so that it does not hinder the mounting of a sleeve or trouser leg on the ironing board. In a special embodiment of the ironing board, the table-element-side end of the strut has a greater distance to the parallelogram, as the foot-side end of the strut.

Fig. 1 shows an executed as a
