Die Erfindung betrifft eine Methode zum Befestigen von mehrschichtigen Trennwandelementen in einem Gebäude. Eine Art Einfassung des Wandflächenelements wird erst nach dem Aufstellen als Verbindung und Abdichtung zum angrenzenden Mauerwerk gebildet, wobei diese Einfassung in der Normalen auf das Wandflächenelement möglichst nicht über dieses vorstehen, sondern bündig damit abschließen soll. Aus optischen Gründen sollte der Rand des Flächenelements möglichst nahe am umgebenden Mauerwerk verlaufen, die beschriebene verbindende und dichtende Einfassung also möglichst dünn sein.
