Description

Technisches Gebiet der ErfindungTechnical field of the invention

The present invention relates to a cargo device comprising a floor including a top, a bottom and at least one bottom edge therebetween, and having an RFID information tag, and at least one cargo state in which it is to receive goods , The invention also relates to a method for producing such a freight device.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

Freight devices, such as containers, are used to transport and store goods in a variety of different situations. To identify or track a particular container, it may be provided with informational means, such as a visually readable barcode. To equip a container with information in the form of a barcode is relatively inexpensive. However, there are a number of disadvantages associated with the practical use of this type of informational means. In connection with the reading of a barcode on a container, for example, a free view between the barcode and the optical reading unit is required. In addition, the number of information stored in a barcode is relatively limited.

Other types of information resources are known which do not have the disadvantages described above, for example RFID tags (Radio Frequency Identification Tags). An RFID label (Tag) is a small radio unit that can be read by radio waves and z. As a microprocessor, a memory, a transceiver and an antenna. Other benefits of RFID tags compared to the above bar code are the possibility of intelligent communication, which means that more than one RFID tag can be read at the same time and the possibility of changing the information stored in the memory of the RFID tag.

A problem associated with the use of RFID tags is that the readout distance, for a variety of reasons such as B. a short reading range and obstructive cargo in the container, can be quite limited, the RFID tag should be located relatively close to the reader to allow the reading. Therefore, if the RFID tag is disposed on one side of an object, such as a tag. On a long side of a parallelepipedic container, this page should be the one closest to the reader during read-out. In this case, therefore, the container should be aligned in a particular manner to make the reading optimal. However, this requirement for proper alignment leads to new problems in that the RFID tag is not necessarily visible when the container is viewed in its normal use state. For example, the RFID tag may be very small in relation to the container, embedded in the material of the container, or located at a location that is usually protected from view. In such a case it is impossible to know where the label is located and how the container should be read out.

A known solution to the above problem is to equip each container with more than one RFID tag. If it is known that a long side of the container should be closest to the reader during readout, two labels placed on the two long sides would be sufficient. On the other hand, such a solution would require four labels, one arranged on each side of the container. In any case, there are several disadvantages in equipping each container with more than one RFID tag, such as: B. an increased price. Furthermore, the labels on a container when reading the same information should specify, which is very difficult to implement. In the case where many labels within the In addition, there is a considerable risk that the reader will get confused, resulting in an absolute read error.

From the WO 01/29761 It is known to provide a replacement device with a transponder, which is embedded during injection molding in a side wall, so that the transponder is no longer visible from the outside and is insensitive to external influences. To locate the transponder, the housing parts of the transponder can be painted in different colors.

The disadvantage of this is that a transponder, which is arranged due to technical circumstances in a place that is difficult to reach for a readout, even with the help of different colored housing parts of the transponder can not always be found reliably.

It is therefore an object of the invention to gain more room for maneuver in the use of RFID information labels in freight devices.

Erfindungsdarlegunginvention exposition

The basic idea of the invention is the provision of a freight device with at least two markings which indicate where the information label of the freight device is accommodated. In this way, the freight device can be easily arranged for readout without the need for excess components, e.g. an additional information label. Nevertheless, the present invention solves the problems associated with the prior art in a very efficient, simple and cost effective manner.

The above subject matter is accomplished by means of a cargo device and a method of manufacturing such a cargo device as defined in the appended claims and discussed below.

A cargo device according to the present invention comprises a floor including a top, a bottom, and at least one bottom edge therebetween, and an information tag, and at least one hinged side wall, for at least one cargo state in which it is located around goods record and have a hibernation. The cargo device is further characterized by further comprising at least a first mark indicating a location of the information label and being visible from a first direction when loaded, and a second mark indicating the location of the information label and in the cargo state a second direction is visible.

Such a second mark is advantageous because it could contribute to a clearer indication of the arrangement of the information label. This contribution may in particular be great if the second direction is substantially perpendicular to the first direction, as is the case in one possible embodiment of the present invention.

The cargo device may be of any type, such as a container, a tub, a platform or a pallet. Accordingly, the floor may have any shape, e.g. Example, the shape of a rectangular or circular plate, solid or equipped with recesses, grooves, etc., for example, for the purpose of attaching the goods to be loaded. In the case of a circular plate, the bottom may comprise a single bottom edge and, in the case of a rectangular plate, the bottom may comprise four bottom edges.

By freight condition is meant a condition that corresponds to the usual use condition of the cargo device in which the underside of the ground abuts against the supporting surface or carrying means such as wheels or standoffs and the top of the ground defines a cargo space for the cargo device.

The first mark may include any embodiments that are typical of the freight device, such. A painted symbol, a badge, a breakthrough, a depression, or a protrusion integrated into or separate from the cargo device.

Bohren.Depending on the execution of the first marking, the freight device can be equipped with the first marking throughout the manufacturing process. In the case where the first mark integrally formed in the cargo device is formed as a breakthrough, a depression, or a protrusion, the first mark is preferably made early in the manufacturing process. If z. For example, when the cargo device is reusable and molded from plastic, the mold may be designed in such a manner that the protrusion, recess or aperture is made in association with the molding. Alternatively, the cargo device can be equipped with the projection, the recess or the breakthrough in a later operation, for. B. by gluing, cutting or drilling.

In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the first marker is attached to the cargo device. This means that the first mark can not be molded integrally with the cargo device and can therefore be manufactured throughout the manufacturing process, even at the end. Accordingly, this embodiment of the invention can also be applied to existing freight devices, so that new, specially manufactured Freight devices need not be manufactured because instead the old ones can be easily modified and reused. Consequently, there is no need for consuming and expensive redesigned or modified production means. In the case where an old cargo device is modified so as to comply with the present invention, the first mark for the ability of the cargo device to pick up goods will not be a critical part.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the first mark is visible from a first direction parallel to a normal of the at least one bottom edge edge of the freight device. This means that the first mark can be seen from the side when the freight device is in its freight state, which is advantageous when the freight device is correctly arranged for readout.

In an alternative embodiment, the first mark is instead visible from a first direction parallel to a normal of the top of the floor of the cargo device. Such a first mark can be seen from above when the freight device is in its freight state, which is advantageous when the freight device is correctly arranged for readout.

The features discussed in connection with the first marking, ie properties relating to, for example, the execution of the marking, the time of production in the manufacturing process and the visibility, are transferable to the second one Mark. In one embodiment, moreover, according to one of the above manners, the second mark is attached to the freight device, giving the advantages described above.

The cargo device according to the present invention may further comprise at least one side wall having an outer surface and an inner surface to form a container having a cargo space enclosed by the inner surface of the at least one side wall and the top of the ground. The container may be of any shape, for example, polygonal or cylindrical. So z. B. a polygonal container include a rectangular bottom and four side walls, whereas a cylindrical container can include a circular bottom and a side wall.

According to the invention, the cargo device is hinged to have an idle state in addition to the cargo state. By idle state is meant a state in which the freight device is not usually located to pick up any goods. The folding cargo devices have many advantages, such. B. that they can be folded, if empty, for space savings.

In this case, the side wall or the side walls can be rotatably attached to the ground, the side wall or the side walls are arranged in the cargo state substantially perpendicular to the top of the soil and at rest substantially parallel with the top of the soil. Such a rotatable attachment may, for. B. be accomplished by means of hinges, wherein the side wall or the side walls can be easily separated from the ground. Such a modular construction of the cargo device is advantageous because it allows the specific parts of the cargo device to be replaced when the cargo device is somehow broken, with the entire freight device not having to be scrapped. The first marker and the second marker may be disposed at different positions of the cargo device in various embodiments. Such possible positions are on the outer surface of the at least one sidewall, on the upper wall edge flank extending between the outer and inner surfaces of the at least one sidewall, on the top of the floor and on the at least one bottom edge flank.

Any combination of the above positions is possible. Thus, by way of example, a hinged container according to the invention having first and second marks may be designed in such a manner that one of the first or second marks is visible from a direction parallel to a normal of the top of the bottom of the Containers in its cargo state, whereas the other is visible from a direction parallel to a normal of the top of the bottom of the container in its resting state. This is advantageous since, apart from the condition of the container, a marking will always be clearly visible from above, which, as described above, is advantageous when the container is correctly arranged for reading out.

As discussed above, the first and second markers may be of different types. In accordance with one embodiment, the first mark and / or the second mark is / are hot stamped into the cargo device. By hot stamp is meant that heated plastic, such as polypropylene or polyethylene, is applied under high pressure to the cargo device in a particular shape so as to form a mark on the surface of the cargo ship after deterrence.

The markers may be provided in different manners with respect to one another. According to one embodiment, the first and second markings are arranged on one and the same side wall, one on its outer surface and the other on its upper wall edge flank. This is a simple and effective arrangement, but other alternatives are possible. For the sake of simplicity, furthermore, the first mark and the information label can be arranged on one and the same side of the freight device.

In one embodiment, the information tag is attached to and most likely on the at least one bottom edge of the floor of the cargo device. This arrangement is advantageous because it results in a relatively narrow reading distance to a reader, provided that the freight device is properly aligned with respect to the reader.

The freight device can be stackable. In such a case, the invention offers special advantages. For a reader capable of reading the information labels of a whole stack of freight devices, all of the freight devices for reading should be correctly located. If one of the freight devices is not properly aligned, this must be corrected. Such a process can be cumbersome, especially if the freight device that needs to be reoriented is one way down in the stack. However, if the cargo devices are the same and designed in accordance with the present invention, it is easy to correctly stack them by ensuring that the tags are oriented in the same and correct manner for all the cargo devices.

A method of manufacturing a cargo device according to the present invention, wherein the cargo device comprises a floor including a top, a bottom, and at least one bottom edge therebetween, and an information label and at least one hinged side wall for securing at least one cargo condition Where it is to receive goods and to have an idle state comprises the step of equipping the freight device with at least a first mark indicating an installation location of the information label and being visible in the cargo state from a first direction, and the step of providing the Freight device with a second mark surrounding the cover of the information label and being visible in the cargo state from a second direction.

Of course, the features discussed in connection with the cargo device according to the present invention are transferable to the method according to the present invention. It should also be emphasized that these features could be combined in the same embodiment.

Beschreibung der bevorzugten Ausführungsformen der ErfindungDescription of the preferred embodiments of the invention

The FIGS. 1 and 2 show a cargo device in the state of rest in the form of a container 10, which is formed like a rectangular Parellelepiped without cover. The container comprises a rectangular bottom 11 which has a top 1, a bottom 2 and four bottom edge flanks 3-6 extending therebetween. The container further comprises four, corresponding to the four bottom edge edges 3-6, rectangular side walls 12-15, each having an outer surface 7 and an inner surface 8. The side walls 12-15 are rotatably attached to the floor 11 by means of hinge means 16. In the cargo condition of the container 10, each of the side walls 12-15 is connected to two of the other side walls to form, together with the bottom 11, a cargo space 17 of the container to build. The connection between the side walls is accomplished by means of connecting means 18. At rest, the side walls 12-15 are folded down towards the bottom 11 to be substantially parallel therewith, with the short side walls 12 and 14 touching the ground and the two long side walls 13 and 15 again contacting the short side walls. In this state, the container forms a plate whose thickness is substantially equal to that of the bottom eleventh

The container 10 is reusable and its individual parts, d. H. the bottom and sidewalls are separately molded from a plastics material such as polypropylene or polyethylene prior to assembly. The container 10 further comprises information means in the form of an RFID tag 19 which is welded to the bottom edge flank 6 of the bottom 11, with the intention of being able to identify and track it. The RFID tag 19 is of an embodiment that belongs to the prior art and will not be further described. As can be seen from the figures, the RFID tag 19 is relatively small compared to the container 10. As not shown in the figures, a protective plate hides the opening 21 to protect the tag 19.

For the above and many other reasons, it may be difficult or even impossible to visually locate the label 19 on the container 10. Therefore, the container 10 is provided with a first marker 22 and two second markers 23 indicating the installation location of the information label. The first mark 22 is arranged on the outer surface 7 of the long side wall 15, whereas the second markings 23 are arranged on the upper wall edge flank 25 of the same long side wall 15. By this arrangement, the first mark 22 in the idle state of the container 10 is clearly visible from above, whereas the second marks are instead visible in the cargo condition of the container clearly from above. It is therefore always easy, regardless of the condition of the container, to visually identify the installation location of the label 19.

The first and second markings are hot-stamped on the container and form thereon three directional arrows in a color which, for the sake of clarity, differs from the color of the container. The container was fitted with the directional arrows after manufacture and it should be noted that it could have been used in other applications prior to fitting these directional arrows.

FIG. 3 shows a with sixteen containers 31, according to the present invention, loaded pallet 30. The container 31 are shown schematically, empty and in their cargo condition. The containers 31 each comprise a first marking 32 and two second markings 33, shown schematically with crosses. The crosses of a container indicate the location of an associated RFID tag 34, indicated schematically by a black dot. To obtain information, the RFID labels of all containers 31 can be simultaneously read out by means of two high-frequency readers 35, which are fastened on each side of the pallet 30 to a reader portal 36. The readers 35 and the reader portal 36 are embodiments that belong to the prior art and therefore will not be further described. The information stored in an RFID tag can be of a different nature, such as data indicating the contents of the container, the number of times the container has been washed, how long the content has been stored, etc.

To ensure proper reading, all of the containers 31 on the pallet 30 should be aligned in such a manner that the RFID tags 34 are located as close as possible to the corresponding reader when the pallet 16 is moved from the reader portal 36 to the reader Readout is recorded. In this arrangement, each of the RFID tags 34 will be within the read-out distance (indicated schematically by dashed lines) of the corresponding reader 35. In FIG. 3 As can be seen from all the arranged crosses, all containers are correctly arranged as close to the portal 36 as possible during readout. Consequently, stacking the containers on the pallet, in an optimal reading mode, is an easy task for the persons handling the containers in this case just have to make sure that the crosses, as in FIG. 3 are shown aligned.

The embodiments described above are to be considered as examples only. One skilled in the art will appreciate that the embodiments discussed may be combined and varied in many ways without departing from the inventive concept.

For example, the invention has been described in the context of a container, but is also suitable in connection with other types of freight devices, such. B. a box for bottle transport.

As another example, the invention has been described in the context of a hinged container, but is also suitable in connection with a non-hinged container.

Further, the RFID tag has been described above as being located at the bottom edge edge of the container. This is just one of many possible arrangements. Alternatively, in alternative embodiments, the RFID tag could be located on top of the bottom within the container, on the underside of the bottom, embedded in the bottom, or embedded in any of the side walls. Further, the RFID tag need not be disposed along a long sidewall, but instead could be located along a short sidewall. In any case, it is preferable to have the RFID tag relatively close to the bottom edge of the container.

Incidentally, the number and locations of markings as described above are exemplary only. Instead of having the tags placed on the same side of the container, the tags and the RFID tags could be located on different sides of the container, such as on opposite sides. The markers could just as well be on any of the Bottom edges 3-6 or the top 1 or the bottom 2 of the bottom 11 may be positioned.

In addition, there are other possible methods besides the hot stamping to equip the containers with the markings. The markers can z. Painted, printed, cut, drilled, fused, or made in any other appropriate manner.

Finally, the container does not have to be molded from plastic, but could be made of any other suitable material.
