Abstract

The invention relates to a drafting device with twin top front rollers surrounded by aprons in which the aprons are guided around deflection members arranged above the area facing away from the clamping surface of the front roller pair. Claims (11)

  1. A method for guiding aprons entwining the twin-type delivery top rollers of drafting units where the aprons are passed around reversing members which are disposed on the area facing away from the clamping surface of the pair of delivery top rollers, characterized in that the aprons substantially are subjected to that low tensile stress which is caused by their efforts of assuming an approximately circular shape in a circumferential direction.
  2. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the distance between the delivery top rollers and the running faces of the reversing members is chosen such as to cause the tensile stress in the aprons solely by their efforts of assuming an approximately circular shape in a circumferential direction.
  3. The drafting unit, comprising twin-type delivery top rollers (3, 4) entwined by aprons (10, 11), wherein the aprons (10, 11) are passed around reversing members (9) which are attached to the component part (6, 7) joined to the twin-type delivery top roller (3, 4) on the area_facing away from the clamping surface of the twin-type delivery top rollers (3, 4), characterized in that the reversing members (9) are formed to an integral, rigid holder (8), the distance (a) between the twin-type delivery top rollers(3, 4) and the running faces (13) of the reversing members (9) being chosen such as to allow the aprons (10, 11) to bulge out between the top roller (3, 4) and the reversing member (9).

  5. The drafting unit according to claim 3, characterized in that lateral guides (13, 14) for the aprons (10, 11) are provided.
  6. The drafting unit according to claim 5, characterized in that the lateral guides (13, 14) are disposed on either side of the running faces (12) of the reversing members (9).
  7. The drafting unit according to claim 3, characterized in that the holder (8) has at least one retaining member (15) adapted to be connected to the shaft (8) of the twin-type top roller (2).
  8. The drafting unit according to claim 7, characterized in that the holder (8) is adapted to bear on a stationary component part of the drafting unit in the sense of rotation of the top rollers (3, 4).
  9. The drafting unit according to claim 3, characterized in that said holder (8) is adapted to be attached to the control bar (7) of the twin-type top roller (2).
  10. The drafting unit according to claim 3, characterized in that the holder (8) is adapted to be attached to the upper roller supporting and weighting arm.
  11. The drafting unit according to claim 3, characterized in that the circumference of the aprons (10, 11) is at least 1½ times the circumference of the entwined upper rollers (3, 4) and the distance (a) between the running axis of the upper rollers and the running faces (12) or the reversing members (9), accordingly, corresponds at least to the diameter of the entwined upper rollers.
