Claims (20)
- A folder superstructure of a web-fed printing press, which folder superstructure has a former (03) movable transversely to the running direction (T) of a web or web portion (B1 to B4; B1.1 to B4.1) running up and having two former flanks (17) inclined with respect to the running direction (T) of the web, wherein a width (b03) of the former (03) corresponds to at least two print images of a first print-image format arranged adjacent to each other, characterized in that a reversing element (04), which in contrast to the two flanks (17) of the former (03) has only one effective edge (06) used for deflexion in the manner of a former flank (06), is additionally provided in the folder superstructure (01).
- A folder superstructure of a web-fed printing press, which folder superstructure has a former (03) movable transversely to the running direction (T) of a web or web portion (B1 to B4; B3.2; B1.1 to B4.1) running up and having two former flanks (17) inclined with respect to the running direction (T) of the web, wherein a width (b03) of the former (03) corresponds to at least two print images of a first print-image format arranged adjacent to each other, characterized in that a web portion (B3.2) of the width of two printed pages of a smaller second print-image format is conveyed over the former (03) and at the same time a web portion (B3.1) of the width of one printed page of the smaller print-image format is conveyed over a reversing element (04) which is made substantially a web portion in width in a projection onto the web portion (B3.1) running up.
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that, in a projection onto the web portion (B3.1; B4.1) running up, the reversing element (04) has a width which is smaller than the two print images of the first print-image format arranged adjacent to each other.
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 2, characterized in that, in contrast to the two flanks (17) of the former (03), the reversing element (04) has only one effective edge (06) used for deflexion in the manner of a former flank (06).
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the former flanks (06; 17) of the reversing element (04) and the former (03) are situated substantially in the same plane.
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the reversing element (04) is made tube-shaped in an extended manner.
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the reversing element (04) is designed in the manner of a turner bar having air-discharge openings.
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the reversing element (04) is made movable transversely to the running direction (T) of a web or web portion (B1.1 to B4.1) running up.
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 8, characterized in that setting means which are mechanically independent of one another are associated with the reversing element (04) and the former (03) for moving purposes.
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a roller (11), which is made movable transversely to the running direction (T) of a web or web portion (B1 to B4; B1.1 to B4.1) running into the folder superstructure (01), is arranged downstream of the reversing element (04).
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the roller (11) is constructed in the form of a draw roller (11).
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a draw roller (11) is arranged downstream of the roller (11).
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a nipping section (16), which is made movable transversely to the running direction (T) of a web or web portion (B1 to B4; B1.1 to B4.1) running into the folder superstructure (01), is arranged downstream of the former (03).
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 11 or 12, characterized in that the draw roller (11; 13) is driven by a motor independently of further draw rollers.
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 13, characterized in that the nipping section (16) is driven by a motor independently of further draw rollers.
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 2, characterized in that a portion of a flank (17) of the former and an effective edge (06) of the reversing element (04) acting in the manner of a former flank (06) intersect as viewed in a vertical section.
- A folder superstructure according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that, in one manner of operation, tips (18; 19) of the former (03) and the reversing element (04) are at a distance which is smaller than a half width (b03) of the former (03).
- A method of further processing a web by means of a folder superstructure, wherein in a first operative situation a first web (B1; B4) is conveyed - either in its entire width or cut into two web portions - in the middle onto a former (03) and is folded longitudinally in the middle and the cut web portions are conveyed one upon the other, and in a second operative situation a web portion (B3.1; B4.1), in particular a web portion (B3.1; B4.1) of one page in width, is severed by longitudinal cutting from a web (B3; B4) and the remaining web portion (B3.2; B4.2) is conveyed - either in its entire remaining width or cut into two further web portions - in the middle onto the former (03) and is folded longitudinally in the middle and the cut web portions are conveyed one upon the other, whilst the severed web portion (B3.1; B4.1) is conveyed to a reversing element (04) which is made only substantially one printed page in width.
- A method according to Claim 18, characterized in that when changing over from the first to the second operative situation the former (03) is moved out of the position in the middle with respect to the web (B1 to B4) running in and the reversing element (04) is moved into the strand path of the web portion (B3.1; B4.1) to be severed.
- A method according to Claim 18, characterized in that when changing over from the second to the first operative situation the former (03) is moved into a position in the middle with respect to the non-cut web (B1 to B4) running in and the reversing element (04) is moved out of a possible operative range with webs or web portions.
