Description

The present invention relates to an ice hacker according to the preamble of claim 1 for mincing, breaking and crushing ice and other liquid frozen foods.

Für die einwandfreie Funktion aller bekannten Hacker ist es entscheidend, dass die unterenOnion and vegetable chopper are from the EP-B-0'345'223 and the WO01 / 58652 the applicant known. They have a housing which can be turned over the material to be shredded and a housing which is guided in the housing and is displaceable by means of an actuating mechanism with a pushbutton and a plunger against the force of a spring. The knife comprises a cylindrical axis at the lower end of a plate-shaped knife holder is seated. On the underside of the knife holder one or more downwardly projecting blades are attached, which are usually designed wave-like or star-shaped in plan view. The knife can be moved against the force of the spring down until the blade has completely penetrated the wood chips and hits a bottom plate of the hacker. For the proper functioning of all known hackers it is crucial that the lower

Cutting or cutting edges of the blades lie exactly in a horizontal plane.

Although the hackers are not intended, ice cubes are often crushed with the well-known hackers to obtain finer pieces of ice for cocktails, drinks or food preparation. The chopping of ice can blunt and bend the known blades very easily. Bent blades jam easily with the scraper and thereby affect the functionality of the hacker quite crucial.

The in FIG. 1 ice hoppers shown comprises a housing which consists of a multi-part upper part 2 and a preferably one-piece lower part or cup 3. The cup 3 is connected to the upper part 2 by means of a bayonet catch 33 or the like. Similar to the known onion and vegetable chopper in the upper housing part 2, an actuating mechanism 4 is mounted and guided concentrically, which comprises a push button 17 with cap 18. In the upper housing part is a, by means of the actuating mechanism 4 against the force of a spring, slidable knife fifth appropriate. The actuating mechanism 4 comprises a known and therefore not in the FIG. 1 in detail illustrated indexing mechanism. The indexing mechanism ensures that the knife 5 rotates a certain angle about its longitudinal axis with each up and down movement. This rotational movement ensures that the knife does not chop on the spot. In contrast to the known vegetable chopper can be dispensed with the present ice hackers on a, slipped over the knife, scraper.

The knife 5 comprises a cylindrical axis 11 at the lower end of a horizontally arranged plate-shaped support plate 6 is seated. On the underside of the support plate one or more downwardly projecting blades 51 are fixed, which are usually designed wave-like or star-shaped in plan view. The present invention can be practiced with all known aforementioned blade shapes. For cost reasons, axis 11 and support plate 6 are usually made in one piece by injection molding, wherein the blade 51 is overmolded in an upper region and thereby fixed inextricably on the support plate 6. To withstand the burden of ice chopping the knife 5 is preferably made of stable blade plate from 0.3 to 0.5, more preferably 0.4 mm thickness D.

According to the present invention, the height H K of the blade 51, the height of the cup H B and limited by the actuating mechanism 4 maximum vertical travel of the blade 5 are selected and matched so that the cutting edge 52 in its lowest position not in contact with a Cup bottom 31 is coming. It therefore remains in the lowest knife position (in the FIG. 1 indicated by dashed lines), an air gap H s between the downwardly directed tips of teeth 53 of the cutting edge 52 and the cup bottom 31.

As will be explained below, the cup fulfills a dual function and is also used as a shaker base. It is therefore made in a preferred embodiment of stainless steel. The air gap H S thus prevents a direct breaking of the cutting edge 52 with the stainless steel floor and thereby an unwanted dulling of the blade and a damage and scratching of the floor 31. The height of the air gap H S preferably is between 1 and 7 mm, more preferably between 3 and 5 mm.

While in the known hackers, such an air gap is absolutely undesirable because it leads to an unacceptable functional limitation, a complete penetration of the ice cubes to be chopped is not necessary in the present new ice hackers. The ice cubes are blown apart by the stable blade 51, and need not be cut completely.

This blasting action of the blade is still supported by preferred embodiments cutting. In the in the FIGS. 4a and 4c the blades are ground on both sides, wherein the cutting angle γ is preferably selected between 30 and 100 °. When in the FIGS. 4b and 4c shown blade, the teeth are ground only on one side and the cutting angle γ 'is about 45 °.

The teeth of the blade can be selected depending on the blade material and manufacturing costs. Two possible tooth forms are in the FIGS. 4a and 4b shown. When chopping the hard and brittle ice cubes, a decisive advantage of the serrated blades is that the teeth, respectively the tooth tips, facilitate the penetration into the ice to be chopped.

In einer weiteren, nicht dargestellten Ausführungsform sind die Zähne, abwechselnd seitlich aus der Vertikalebene derIn a further, not shown embodiment, the teeth are alternately laterally from the vertical plane of

Blade bent and thereby reinforce the explosive effect of the ice packer blade again. The teeth may also be bent about their longitudinal axis twisted out of the vertical plane of the blade plate, so that the tips of the teeth are still substantially in-plane and can penetrate with relatively little resistance in the ice and the explosive effect by the torsion of the teeth during further penetration is increased enormously.

In the FIG. 2b is a adapted to the cup 3 pad 7, preferably made of a soft elastomer such as silicone shown. The pad 7 may be permanently or detachably connected to the cup bottom 31 and / or a peripheral peripheral skirt 32. When chopping it prevents pad 7 scratching the work surface, dampens the shocks and causes a slip protection of the hacker 1 on a work surface. If the ice crushed to the desired size, the cup 3 can be removed by means of the bayonet lock 33 from the upper part 2 and by lifting the pad 7 and the upper part 2 can be placed with the blade on the now free pad 7. The stopping of the knife 5 on the base 7 simultaneously protects the cutting edge 52 and also the working surface from damage. The pad 7 preferably has a peripherally thickened peripheral edge bead 71, which prevents the knife 5 or other parts of the upper part of the second running or dripping meltwater can run on an underlying work surface.

The side wall 30 of the cup 3 widened at an angle α upwards, so that when the hacker upper part 2 is removed, a suitable shaker attachment 8 can be fastened in a clamping manner. The essay has 8, as in the FIG. 3 represented by a side wall 81 which tapers downwards at an angle β and which merges upward into the neck 83 via the cone 82. In the neck 83, a sieve plate 84 is attached with pouring openings 85 in a known manner and can cover 9 are closed to close. The angles α and β (between 1 and 15 °, in the preferred embodiment, 4 °) and the diameter of the upper cup area and lower top wall are coordinated so that the article are plugged into the cup until approximately the transition from wall 81 to cone 82 can and thereby the cup towards a sufficient seal for liquids is achieved.

The inner wall of the cup is preferably graduated in 10 deciliters steps, and the shaker cap 9 preferably has a volume of 40 milliliters, which is an important measure for bartenders.

Um den Hygieneansprüchen im Küchen und Barbereich zu genügen sind Hackeroberteil, Becher, Shakeraufsatz und Deckel ausTo meet the hygiene requirements in the kitchen and bar area are Hackeroberteil, cups, shaker attachment and lid off

The crusher (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the teeth (53) are either i) alternately bent laterally out of the vertical plane of a blade (51) of the knife (5) or ii) are bent out of the vertical plane of the blade plate so as to be twisted about their longitudinal axis, so that the tips of the teeth (53) are substantially still located in the plane and thus reinforce the explosive effect in response to the crushing of ice.
  4. The crusher (1) according to one of the preceding claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the cup (3) comprising a shaker attachment (8) can be detachably connected so as to be substantially impermeable to liquid when the crusher upper part (2) is removed.
  5. The crusher (1) according to claim 4, characterized in that the cup (3) widens upwardly about an angle α and that the attachment (8) encompasses a side wall (81), which narrows downwardly at an angle β and which transfers upwardly into a cone (82) and in that the diameters of the upper cup area and lower attachment wall are adapted to one another in such a manner that the attachment can be inserted into the cup approximately up to the transition of wall (81) into cone (82) and in that a sufficient seal for liquids is thus attained towards the cup.
  6. The crusher according to claim 5, characterized in that the angles α and β are between 1 and 15°, preferably 4°.
  7. The crusher (1) according to one of the preceding claims 1 to 6, characterized in that it comprises a support (7), which is adapted to the cup (3), preferably consisting of a soft, slip-proof elastomer, such as silicon.
  8. The crusher (1) according to claim 7, characterized in that the support (7) encompasses a peripherally thickened revolving edge flaring (71).
