  • a locking mechanism for a lever-arch type file generally includes a base plate, a pair of fixed arch elements, rigidly fixed to and upstanding from the base plate, and a pair of pivoting arch elements, pivotally mounted on the base plate for movement relative to the fixed arch elements between an open position and a closed position.
