Abstract

Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Produkten aus Mineralwolle, insbesondere von ein- oder mehrschichtigen Produkte aus Steinwolle, bei dem das Mineralwollematerial eines Primärvlieses (2, 2') durch einen kombinierten Schlag- und Schneidvorgang gezielt zu Mineralwolleflocken (9) einer bestimmten Größe mechanisch zerkleinert und danach zur Bildung eines Endvlieses (4, 4)) rekombiniert wird. Durch eine derartige Behandlung des Mineralwollematerials werden praktisch alle Inhomogenitäten und Fehlstellen im Primärvlies (2, 2') beseitigt, d. h. im Endvlies (4) liegen diese nicht mehr vor. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren führt daher beim Endvlies (4) zu Produkten mit einer dreidimensionalen, isotropen Faserstruktur, welche gegenüber konventionellen gestauchten Produkten eine merkliche Einsparung bei der Rohdichte bei zumindest gleicher Qualität mit sich bringt.
