  • the oven may be also provided with a drain pipe 70 having a drain opening 72 provided in the cavity floor 22 of the oven cavity 12, as shown in FIG. 5.

The valve 74 may be controlled automatically by the controller 30 at the end of the self clean cycle or may be activated by the user through operation of a button or other control element.

Claims (14)

  1. Ein Verfahren zum Optimieren des Einführens von Hitze und Feuchtigkeit in einen Ofen für Zwecke einer Reinigung einer Ofenkavität, wobei die Ofenkavität (12) bzw. der Ofenraum Kavitätswände (14, 16, 18, 20, 22) aufweist, Heizelemente (38, 40, 43) innerhalb der Ofenkavität (12) bereitgestellt werden, und das Verfahren durch den Ofenbenutzer initiiert wird, der einen Ofenreinigungszyklus auswählt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
    die Temperatur der Ofenkavität (12) detektiert wird, um zu bestimmen, ob der Ofen unter einer vorbestimmten Starttemperatur (TEMPstart) ist,
    bei Bestätigung, dass der Ofen unter der vorbestimmten Starttemperatur (TEMPstart) ist, Hitze und Feuchtigkeit in die Ofenkavität (12) eingeführt werden, bis die Ofenkavität eine vorbestimmte Maximaltemperatur (TEMPmax) erreicht, wobei bei der Temperatur die Temperatur der Ofenkavitätswände geringer ist als 100 Celsius und die relative Feuchtigkeit innerhalb der Ofenkavität 100% erreicht,
    die Ofenkavität (12) nachfolgend bei der vorbestimmten. Maximaltemperatur (TEMPmax) für eine vorbestimmte Zeitdauer (Tmaintain) gehalten wird, und
    nach der vorbestimmten Zeitdauer (Tmaintain), der Ofenkavität (12) erlaubt wird, sich auf eine vorbestimmte, sichere Reinigungstemperatur (TEMPclean) abzukühlen, worauf ein Signal bereitgestellt wird, um den Benutzer zu alarmieren, dass der Reinigungszyklus beendet ist.
  2. Ein Verfahren, wie in Anspruch 1 beansprucht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die vorbestimmte Starttemperatur (TEMPstart), ungefähr 50 Celsius ist.
  3. Ein Verfahren, wie in Anspruch 2 beansprucht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die vorbestimmte Maximaltemperatur (TEMPmax) ungefähr 90 Celsius ist.
  4. Ein Verfahren, wie in Anspruch 3 beansprucht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die vorbestimmte Zeitdauer (Tmaintain) zwischen fünf (5) Minuten und sechzig (60) Minuten ist.
  5. Ein Verfahren, wie in Anspruch 4 beansprucht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die vorbestimmte, sichere Reinigungstemperatur (TEMPclean) ungefähr 50 Celsius ist.
  6. Ein Verfahren, wie in Anspruch 1 beansprucht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Benutzer Wasser in die Ofenkavität (12) gießt oder hinzufügt und während dem Ofenreinigungszyklus ein oder mehrere der Ofenheizelemente (38, 40, 43) erregt werden, um dabei Hitze und Feuchtigkeit in die Ofenkavität (12) einzuführen, um die Ofenkavitätstemperatur zu erhöhen auf (TEMPmax).
  7. Ein Verfahren, wie in Anspruch 6 beansprucht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Benutzer Wasser in die Ofenkavität (12) hineingießt oder hinzufügt, und bei Initiierung des Ofenreinigungszyklus es eine Verzögerungszeit (Tsoak) gibt, vor der Erregung eines oder mehrerer Der Heizelemente (38, 40, 43).
  8. Ein Verfahren, wie in Anspruch 6 beansprucht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Dampferzeuger (78, 78', 90) in der Ofenkavität bereitgestellt wird, zum Einführen von Dampf in die Ofenkavität (12), um dem einen oder den mehreren Heizelementen zu helfen, die Ofenkavitätstemperatur auf (TEMPmax) zu erhöhen.
  9. Ein Verfahren, wie in Anspruch 6 beansprucht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Benutzer Wasser in eine Vertiefung (50), bereitgestellt in dem Kavitätsboden (22), hineingießt oder hinzufügt.
  10. Ein Verfahren, wie in Anspruch 6 beansprucht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass vor dem Start des Ofenreinigungszyklus der Benutzer einen Schwamm (52) innerhalb der Ofenkavität platziert und Wasser auf den Schwamm aufgießt oder hinzufügt.
  11. Ein Verfahren, wie in Anspruch 1 beansprucht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Ofenkavität eine Lüfteröffnung (26) enthält, und die Lüfteröffnung teilweise versperrt bzw. überdeckt ist, um die Querschnittsfläche der Lüfteröffnung während dem Ofenreinigungszyklus zu verringern.
  12. Ein Verfahren, wie in Anspruch 1 beansprucht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Dampf eingeführt wird in die Ofenkavität (12) zum Einführen von Hitze und Feuchtigkeit in die Ofenkavität (12).
  13. Ein Verfahren, wie in Anspruch 1 beansprucht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Dampferzeuger (78, 78', 90) verbunden ist mit der Ofenkavität (12) zum Einführen von Hitze und Feuchtigkeit in die Ofenkavität (12).
  14. Ein Verfahren, wie in Anspruch 1 beansprucht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Abflussrohr (70) bereitgestellt wird, das sich von der Bodenwand (22) der Ofenkavität (12) erstreckt, um Wasser von der Ofenkavität am Ende des Ofenreinigungszyklus auszulassen.
