Claims (19)

  1. Filler element (1) of a filling machine, more especially a filling machine of the rotary type for filling bottles or similar containers (6) with a liquid product, the said filler element including a liquid duct that is provided in a filler element housing (2) for the controlled discharge of the product into a container (6) placed at the filler element via a discharge opening (4) at the bottom of the filler element housing (2), in addition including a container support (7), which is displaceable in a controlled manner in the direction of a filler element axis (FA) and which, for filling by means of its container mouth, presses the respective container (6), at a stop member at the bottom of the container - or a support face (6.2), against a stop member (12) formed in a recess (15) at the filler element, and including at least one additional duct (5.1) that opens out into the recess (15) or into the container (6) that is placed at the filler element (1), wherein a closing member (16, 16a) for closing the recess (15) is disposed in or on the container support (7) to create a flushing chamber closed towards the outside when the filler element (1) is being cleaned or flushed, characterised in that

  2. Filler element (1) according to claim 1, characterised in that the closure member (16, 16a) that is disposed on the container support (7) can be pressed by the container support (7) against a sealing face (2.1.1) that surrounds the opening of the recess (15).
  3. Filler element (1) according to claim 2, characterised in that the closure member (16, 16a) is flat at its side that abuts against the sealing face (2.1.1).
  4. Filler element (1) according to claim 2, characterised in that the face of the closure member (16. 16a) that abuts against the sealing face (2.1.1) is formed by a seal (16.1., 16a.1) that is disposed at the closure member (16, 16a).
  5. Filler element (1) according to one of claims 2-4, characterised in that the closure member (16, 16a) is plate-shaped at least at a part region that interacts with the sealing face (2.1.1).
  6. Filler element (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the container support (7) is fork-shaped so as to grasp and hold of the respective container (6) at a container flange (6.2) that is formed on the container below the container mouth (6.1).
  7. Filler element (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that at least one accommodating means or guide means (17) is provided on the container support (7) for positioning the closure member (16, 16a) below the opening of the recess (15).
  8. Filler element (1) according to claim 6, characterised in that the closure member (16, 16a) is positionable in a flushing position by means of introduction or movement radially relative to the filler element axis below the opening of the recess (5).
  9. Filler element (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the closure member (16a) is moveable into the flushing position and/or is positionable in the said position in a manual manner.
  10. Filler element (1) according to the preceding claims, characterised in that the closure member (16) is provided on the filler element (1) or on the container support (7) so as to be displaceable between an out-of-use position or a starting position outside a space assumed by the respective container (6) during the filling procedure and the flushing position.
  11. Filler element (1) according to claim 9, characterised in that the closure member (16) is displaceable in a guide means (17) of the container support (7) between the starting position and the flushing position radially or approximately radially relative to the filler element axis (FA).
  12. Filler element (1) according to claim 9 or 10, characterised in that the closure member (16) is connected to an actuator mechanism (18, 19) in a driving manner for movement between the starting position and the flushing position.
  13. Filler element (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the recess (15) that accommodates the container (6) during the filling procedure by means of its container mouth (6.1) is provided in the filler element housing (2) or in a projection (2.1) of a filler element housing (2).
  14. Filler element (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the recess (15) is formed by a centring element on the filler element housing or by a centring tulip.
  15. Filler element (1) according to one of claims 8 or 12, characterised in that the accommodating means or guide means (17) for the closure member (16, 16a) is situated on the container support (7) above a stop member or driving face (7.2) for the container (6).
  16. Filler element (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterised by its design as a filler element without a filling tube.
  17. Filler element (1) according to claim 15 characterised in that the additional duct is, for example, a return gas duct (5.1) formed by a return gas pipe (5).
  18. Filler element (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterised by its design as a filler element with a short filling tube.
  19. Filling machine of the rotary type for filling bottles or similar containers (6) with a liquid product, the said filling machine including a plurality of filler elements (1) on a rotor (3), characterised in that the filler elements (1) are designed in accordance with one of the preceding claims.
