The handle parts have congruent contact surfaces formed symmetrically with respect to a longitudinal axis and to the transverse axes.

Description

The invention relates to a handle set for at least one hand or garden tool, according to the preamble of claim 1. Such a sentence set is from the document EP 1 184 137 known.

For the purposes of the present invention, handles for hand and garden tools are understood to mean, in particular, those for hammers, trowels, saws, chisels, tongs, grave scoops, hand rakes and other similar devices, in the use of which the hand is to adopt a preferred coupling position to the handle The handle fills the hand that surrounds it with a full attachment to the palm of the hand and avoids higher pressure loads and unnecessary tension of the hand and arm muscles.

Out DE 100 42 859 C2 and EP 1 184 137 A2 For example, a handle set for such tools is known which has a plurality of different handle parts and each handle can be assembled by a combination of two or more identical and / or different handle parts. The handle parts are fastened in the same way on the shaft of the respective hand or garden tool. The grip parts essentially consist of handle halves with different surface contours but congruent contact surfaces, with which they adjoin one another flush with the surface and rest against the shank of the tool. The surface contours differ in that the bulges are shaped differently in such a way that the surface contour provided for abutment in the cavity of the hand embracing the handle is more bulged than the surface contour provided for engagement with the fingers of the hand gripping the handle.

In the case of a grip set provided for a right-handed person, the right-hand grip part attached to the shank of the tool has the more convex surface contour, while the left-hand grip part has the flatter curved surface contour.

In a provided for a left-handed grip set, it is the other way around. Furthermore, the bulges are different in different grip sets in their course and in the distances of the surface points of the central axis of the handle set.

In a handle set intended for a user with large hands, the distances of the surface points from the central axis of the handle set are greater than those for a handle set intended for a user with medium-sized hands and this in turn larger than a provided for a user with small hands handle set.

This invention has the advantage that each handle can be assembled individually from a kit having matched items which can be selected depending on the hand shape and / or sizes and / or user preferences given in the particular case. It therefore no longer need for all conceivable cases, the tools with different handle variants in relatively small series completely made and kept in stock, but only on the one hand the tools with the type corresponding uniform shaft and on the other hand, the associated handle parts, later with the shafts of the Tools are connected. By this production method, a cost-effective prefabrication in large series is possible, and storage is simplified and cost-saving. The grip parts preferably consist of shell-like handle halves.

The task is to reduce the number of handle parts needed to assemble the various handles. To solve this problem, the characterizing features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are described in the subclaims.

Figure imgb0001
The invention has the advantage that only one pair of handle parts is required for each hand size, wherein each of the two handle parts can be mounted on the right or left or on the top or bottom of the shank of the tool. The tool can thus be prepared with the one pair of handle parts for use by a right-handed or left-handed person. To make this possible, the congruent contact surfaces of the two gripping parts are not only symmetrical to the common longitudinal axis but also symmetrical about a transverse axis perpendicular to the contact surfaces and passing through the longitudinal axis and a second transverse axis Z lying in the plane of the contact surfaces runs. If, for example, the grip part with the more convex grip contour is to be mounted from the right side of the shaft to the left side, it will be 180 ° about the transverse axis
Figure imgb0001
or symmetry axis rotated, as well as 180 ° about the longitudinal axis y, or 180 ° about the Z-axis. The front edge of the handle, which lies when gripping the handle in the bending region of the fingers, comes through this rotation back into the correct position to the shaft. The same applies to the grip part with the flat convex surface contour if it is to be mounted on its right side instead of on the left side of the shaft. Through the rotations, the contact surfaces of the two handle parts are brought back into the correct position to each other.

The connection of the handle parts to the shaft can, for a not included in the claims embodiments, not only be done in such a way that the two handle parts completely enclose the shaft and lie flush against the surface. The handle set can also be designed so that the shaft on both sides has surfaces that are congruent with the surfaces with which the grip parts to come to rest on the shaft, the shaft having in a strip-shaped part a projecting from the base web, whose Surface forms part of the surface of the handle. The surface of the web may, for example, form part of the top of the handle or the underside or, if the shaft has two webs, both sides. Likewise, the webs can form parts of the two sides of the handle.

In order to keep the number of guided articles as low as possible for the manufacturer and the trade, it is provided to fasten the gripping parts preferably removable on the shaft. If the grip parts are mounted on the shaft of the manufacturer so that the tool is designed for right-handers, which corresponds to the majority of users, a left-hander can solve the handle parts by a simple manual from the shaft and remount for themselves suitable. The attachment of the handle parts on the shaft is made by screws, snap-in connections or hinged connections that are detachable from the outside.

To optimize the grip comfort or the feel, the shape of the overall grip is not only optimized to ergonomic requirements, but the surface of the handle parts is provided in a particularly high quality version with a coating of soft plastic.
As an example of such a handle, a handle for a blade saw will be described. This handle consists of a base handle, which is made of two half-shells by injection molding of plastic. The composite half shells form a stable hollow body. To attach the handle parts, the half shells in the area which is enclosed by the hand, each having a U-shaped connecting web. If the half-shells are assembled, the two U-shaped webs form a closed rectangular cross-section box profile. The webs have openings in the walls, through which engage the integrally formed on the handle fasteners. The base handle can also. be made of a material other than plastic, such as steel or wood.

As in Fig. 1 recognizable, the right, not inventive handle side (1) is more bulged than the left handle side (2). The handle with this contour is designed for right-handed people.

In Fig. 2 is the left, not inventive handle side (3) bulged more than the right handle side (4). The handle with this contour is designed for left-handers.

As in Fig. 3 recognizable, the base handle (5), in which the saw blade is attached, in the area in which the hand engages around the handle, not designed in one piece. Here are handle parts (6, 7) attached to a shaft (12), wherein the handle part (7) is attached to the non-visible side of the handle, which is integrally part of the base handle (5). The shaft (12) is, as a hidden part, drawn in dashed lines in this illustration.

In the Fig. 4a to 4c the various mounting positions of the handle parts (6,7) are shown and drawn to further explain an Axis XYZ. The Y-axis is the longitudinal axis, perpendicular to it is the Z-axis, in the plane of the contact surfaces and extending through the mid-point of the length of the handle parts (6,7), the X-axis is perpendicular to the plane of the contact surfaces and extends also through the center of the length of the handle parts.

In Fig. 4a Both handle parts (6, 7) are visible, which enclose the shaft (12) and between the connection heads (8a, 8b) of the base handle (5), consisting of two half-shells (5a, 5b), are fitted. When working outgoing from the hand pushing or pulling force on the handle parts (6, 7) on the shaft (12) and the base handle (5) is introduced into the saw blade. In Fig. 4a The handle parts (6, 7) are mounted for right-handed people. The congruent contact surfaces (17) of the handle parts abut each other in the YZ plane. The contours of the contact surfaces are assigned to the YZ- axis cross in the same way.
To make a handle in which the handle parts (6, 7) were mounted for right-handers, as the handle Fig. 4b shows, the handle parts (6, 7) from the shaft (12) of the base handle (5) is released, rotated 180 ° about the axis x - x and about the longitudinal axis yy of the handle parts or 180 ° about the Z axis, such as in Fig. 4c shown so that the contact surfaces are facing each other again, and on the other side of the shaft (12) attached. Since the contact surfaces (17) of the handle parts (6, 7) are congruent, created by the Ummontage a mirrored to the original position handle. For this purpose, the elements of a snap connection, a hinge-like connection or a screw connection and the taps of the handle parts are designed and arranged so that the mirror image mounting is possible.

In the same way, the structure of a handle can be designed, for example, for a trowel. Here are the two differently curved handle parts (10, 11) attached to the base handle (9).

Fig. 6 zeigt eine offene Halbschale (5b) des Basisgriffes (5). Fig. 6 shows an open half-shell (5b) of the base handle (5). The two half shells are bolted together with the saw blade in the front area. Since this is not the subject of the application, this will not be discussed further. The shaft (12) of the composite base handle (5) is preferably rectangular in cross-section and hollow. On the two handles (5a, 5b) of the base handle one half of the shaft (12) is formed as a U-shaped profile part in each case.

The grip part (7) is fitted without play between the connection heads (8a, 8b) and, with its grip core (13), also surrounds the shaft (12b) without play. To reinforce the connection of the base handle (5b) and the handle part (7), cylindrical or rectangular projections (18) are preferably integrally formed on the connecting heads (8a, 8b) at the transition point to the shaft. These approaches dip into corresponding recesses in the grip cores (13) of the handle part (7). The snap connection (15) of the handle part (7) with the shaft (12) is formed in such a way that on the handle cores (13) latch-like resilient projections (15a) are integrally formed. The latch hooks formed at the end thereof engage through the wall of the shaft half (12b) which is open at the points concerned and engage behind a counter pawl (15b), which in turn is integrally formed on the inside of the shaft half (12b). In the base handle (5) holes (22) are formed on the surfaces of the connection heads (8a, 8b). Through these holes, for example, the blade of a Phillips screwdriver can be introduced. With their tip under the protruding front parts of the pawl hooks, which emanate from the handle part (7), cross the latch hooks can be raised and the snap connection can be solved. In practice, an axial pressure is sufficient on the screwdriver, the apex of which is centered between the front parts of the pawl hooks to effect the release of the pawl hooks. On the handle core (13) of the handle part (7) centering pin (16) are further formed, which engage in holes in the opposite handle core of the handle part (6) and strengthen the connection of the two parts. The contact surface (17) is formed by the surface of the handle core (13) and the coating (14). The second half-shell (5a), which is not shown, is designed substantially mirror-inverted to the half-shell (5b). The latch hooks formed on the resilient lugs engage next to the pawl hooks (15a) of the grip part (7) via a counterpaw which is attached to the shaft half (12a). Furthermore, the grip part (6) has holes into which the pins (16) dip.

The half-shells (5a, 5b) of the base handle (5) are stiffened in the production version by ribbing. The grip cores (13) can be made as solid-walled parts, but also on the contact side to the shaft (12) formed partially hollow and stiffened by ribbing and rest with the ribs on the shaft (12). The grip part (7) is in Fig. 6 shown as consisting of the handle core (13) and the coating (14) with the soft plastic. But it can also be made in one piece from only one plastic, as well as the handle part (6).

The Fig. 7 shows an enlarged cross section through the handle in the region of the snap connection, along the line II in FIG Fig. 6 , It can be seen how the pawls (15a) on the counter pawls (15b) engage and secure in this way the handle parts (6,7) on the shaft (12). Instead of a snap connection (15) as shown, two or more snap connections can also be arranged. The in the FIGS. 6 and 7 shown connection of the handle parts (6, 7) with the shaft (12) requires that the half-shells (5a, 5b) in the region of the shaft (12) are firmly connected by gluing or welding. In an alternative embodiment, the connection of the half shells (5a, 5b) can be achieved in that the resilient lugs (15a) are extended and the counter pawls (15b) are not attached to the shaft half to which the respective handle part is placed, but on the opposite half of the shaft. The latch hooks integrally formed on the grip part (7) thus engage behind a counterpawl which is integrally formed on the shaft half (12a) and, conversely, the latch hooks formed on the grip part (6) behind a counterpaw formed on the shaft half (12b) ,

Fig. 8 and 9 show a variant in which the connection of the handle parts (6, 7) with the shaft (12) is not carried out by one or more snap connections, but by a hinge-like design of the compound. In this case, a plurality of hinge elements (19) in the form of lugs on the handle parts (6, 7) are integrally formed. These elements protrude through openings in the wall of the shaft (12) into the cavity of the shaft. The hinge element (19) of the opposite grip parts (6, 7) are in the cavity of the shaft (12) side by side. They are arranged so that after rotation by 180 ° about the z- axis, the hinge elements (19) on the other side of the shaft (12) again fit into the openings in the shaft. The ends of the hinge elements have holes whose centers lie on an axis II-II of the shaft. In the connection heads (8a, 8b) of the half-shells (5a, 5b) are in alignment with the axis II - II also bores (22) and / or hinge elements (19a) formed with holes. All holes have the same diameter. Through these holes, a hinge pin (20) is inserted as a fastener. The diameter of the hinge pin and holes are tolerated to each other so that a sliding fit of the pin is achieved. In this way, the two handle parts (6, 7) and the half-shells (5a, 5b) of the base handle (5) in this area firmly but detachably connected to each other. The hinge pin can also be provided at one end with a short thread and a screw head, which is inserted in a connection head (8a or 8b). The screw head has an internal profile, for example Phillips on, so that the hinge pin with a screwdriver corresponding to the inner profile can first be unscrewed from the threaded seat and then completely pulled out of his seat. After reacting the handle parts (6, 7) they are connected by inserting the hinge pin (20) again with the shaft (12) or the base handle. Also in this embodiment of the compound, the handle parts (6, 7) can be made of a plastic as one-component parts, a hard or an elastic plastic, or as a two-component handle with a hard grip core (13) and a coating (14) soft plastic.

Apart from a snap connection or a hinge connection, in one embodiment variant, the grip parts (6, 7) can also be connected by screws to the shaft (12) or the base grip (5).
The screws are expediently inserted laterally into a first grip part (6 or 7), inserted through holes in the shaft (12) and screwed into the second grip part, so that the grip parts (6, 7) are braced against each other and with the shaft (12) ,

The grip system according to the invention can also be used for other handles or tools than the tools shown by way of example. Handles of this embodiment can also be used, for example, in hammers, chisels, large knives. Hand gardening tools or control levers are used.
In this case, the shanks in their shape, the dimensions, the cross-sectional profile, their extension in the longitudinal direction and the dimensions of the terminal regions and the fastening elements on the handle parts and the shaft can be designed differently than in the examples and the description shown in the examples, as long as the scope of the patent is not left.
The shaft can be made of plastic, metal or wood, the handle parts made of plastic or wood.
