Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a heddle frame and a loom equipped with such a frame.
  • heald frames intended to be controlled in a movement of vertical oscillations by means of a suitable device, such as armor mechanics or dobby. It is known to provide a heald frame by reversible assembly of two uprights and two sleepers, the uprights being substantially vertical in the use configuration of the heald frame, while the sleepers are substantially horizontal.
  • FR-A-2 681 614 discloses a removable elastic joining device that can be used in an angle of a heald frame, that is to say in the junction area between a cross member and an upright.
  • a protuberance formed on a post is intended to be wedged between two jaws integral with two rigid parts forming heads intended to be wedged inside a cross.
  • the invention aims to solve the problems of the prior devices by providing a rugged frame and capable of being mounted on a loom operating at high speed.
  • the invention relates to a heddle frame for a loom, this frame being obtained by assembling two uprights with two crosspieces each provided with a one-piece heald rod with the corresponding crossbar or attached thereto on substantially throughout its length, at least one end of at least one of the cross members being provided with at least one locking member of a portion of an adjacent post, within a portion of end of the crossbar which forms a junction area with this amount.
  • This frame is characterized in that the aforementioned end portion comprises a generally convex transverse external profile portion and at least one hoop which surrounds the aforementioned part and the locking member, in order to withstand a locking force exerted by the -this.
  • the hoop which can be achieved by a tubular sleeve or a folded sheet, improves the resistance of the cross member to the forces transmitted by the adjacent amount and resulting from the blocking of the aforementioned part of this amount. This limits in Consequently the risk of deterioration of the cross at this junction area.
  • the mechanical forces experienced by the cross member in the junction zone are reduced by the hoop, which improves the overall mechanical characteristics of the heald frame.
  • the invention takes advantage of the fact that the generally convex profile of the junction zone allows it to be associated with a hoop, whereas this would not be the case if this profile had an opening or a cavity, for example for the hanging ends of the healds.
  • the invention also relates to a loom equipped with at least one heald frame as previously described.
  • a loom can operate at higher speeds and is more reliable than those of the prior art.
  • a dobby 1 is intended to drive a heddle frame 2 of a loom M in an oscillating vertical movement represented by the arrows F 1 and F 1 '.
  • an actuating arm 1a of the dobby 1 is coupled by connecting rods and rocker arms in each heald frame 2.
  • Each frame 2 is formed by the assembly of two uprights 21 and two crosspieces 22.
  • the uprights 21 extend generally in a direction parallel to the direction ZZ 'vertical oscillation of the frames 2, while the cross members 22' extend generally in a direction YY 'perpendicular to the direction ZZ' and generally horizontal in the configuration of use of the trade M.
  • the pillar 21 is provided with a protuberance 21a to be inserted between two jaws 23 and 24 each secured to a weight part 25, respectively 26, hinged one on the other inside the end 28 of the cross member 22.
  • the cross member 22 is hollow and consists of a generally rectangular cross-section tube from which extends, over substantially its entire length, a tab 29 forming a support bar on which can be hung guide rails 30 of the warp threads of the trade M.
  • the cross member 22 is advantageously filled with stiffening material and / or soundproofing.
  • the lower crossbar is also provided with a rod holder smooth.
  • the rod 29 is integral with the crosspiece 22 and connected thereto, over most of its length, by a web 29 c .
  • 31 and 32 are respectively noted the small upper and lower sides of the tubular portion of the crosspiece 22.
  • Note 33 and 34 respectively the long side sides of this part.
  • This part 35 is separated from the end portion 29a of the heald carrier bar 29 by a groove 36 which extends from the end face 28 has the end 28 in a direction Y 36 -Y '36 parallel to a longitudinal axis Y 22 -Y' 22 of the transom 22.
  • the assembly of the elements 21 and 22 takes place by immobilizing the protuberance 21a between the jaws 23 and 24 by tightening an operating screw 37. Because of the approach of the jaws 23 and 24, represented by the arrows F 2 and F 2 , the parts 25 and 26 exert on the sides 31 and 32 a locking force represented by the arrows F 3 and F ' 3 . This force is exerted through an elastomer element 27 placed under stress between each piece 25 or 26 and the shortest closest side 31 or 32. This elastomeric element is in accordance with the technical teaching of FR-A-2 681 614.
  • a band 40 is disposed around this portion 35 being partially engaged in the groove 36.
  • This band 40 is constituted by a sheet metal plate bent around of the part 35 and immobilized around it by cooperation of shapes and thanks to two screws 41 screwed into tapped orifices 42 a of a counter-plate 42 inserted inside the part 35.
  • the screws 41 also traverse a plate 43 for dividing the length of the shell 40 a force F 5 clamping its respective edges 40 a and 40 b on the side 31 of the part 35.
  • the portion 35 and the hoop 40 together form an end portion P of the cross member 22 which contains the locking means 25 and 26 and resists the blocking force F 3 and F ' 3 .
  • the hoop 40 can effectively play its role of reinforcing the part 35, because this part has a transverse external profile, consisting of the outer surfaces of the sides 31 to 34, which is convex and therefore adapted to the use of such a hoop. Indeed, if the hoop was arranged both around the portion 35 and the end portion 29a of the bar 29, the attachment of the healds in this area would not be possible and the bar 29 could be crushed because of the existence of a cavity or depression between it and the short side 32 of the portion 35.
  • the groove 36 allows a suitable positioning of the hoop 40 around the part 35.
  • the groove 36 has a length L 36 greater than or equal to the width l 40 of the ferrule 40, the part 29 a of the bar 29 being cantilever length L 36 .
