Abstract

Für eine Maschine oder einen Maschinenabschnitt zur Herstellung oder/und Veredelung oder/und sonstigen Behandlung oder/und Handhabung einer laufenden Materialbahn, insbesondere aus Papier oder Karton, umfassend wenigstens eine Drehkomponente (108), die durch wenigstens einen Elektromotor (12) antreibbar ist, der einen mit der Drehkomponente im Sinne eines Drehantriebs gekoppelten oder koppelbaren Rotor und einen direkt oder indirekt an einer Stuhlung der Maschine bzw. des Maschinenabschnitts oder einer relativ zur Stuhlung bewegbar angeordneten Motorhalterung gegen Verdrehung abgestützen Stator aufweist, wird nach einem Aspekt der Erfindung vorgeschlagen, dass der Elektromotor als Synchronmotor (12) ausgeführt oder betreibbar ist, und dass der Elektromotor koaxial zur Drehkomponente (108) in Zuordnung zu einem axialen Endbereich (24) derselben angeordnet oder anordenbar ist, wobei der Rotor oder ein Drehantriebsanschluss (18) desselben zur im Wesentlichen spielfreien gemeinsamen Drehung drehfest direkt mit der Drehkomponente oder einem Drehantriebsanschluss (24) derselben gekoppelt oder koppelbar ist. Bei der Drehkomponente kann es sich beispielsweise um einen Trockenzylinder in einer Trockenpartie oder um den Wickelkern (108) einer Wickelrolle in einer Maschine oder einem Maschinenabschnitt zum Aufwickeln der Materialbahn auf den Wickelkern zu der Wickelrolle oder/und zum Abwickeln der Materialbahn von der Wickelrolle handeln.
