Dieser steuert mit seinem Ausgang 19 einen nicht dargestellten Frequenzumrichter an. Von diesem einzigen zu speisenden Motor erhält der Frequenzumrichter über den Resolver an einer Motorwelle oder dergleichen ein Antriebssignal oder Steuersignal. In Wirklichkeit werden über den Frequenzumrichter 13 mittels der Zuleitungen 17 und 18 mehrere, insbesondere vier, Antriebsmotoren gespeist. Dabei ergibt die Gesamtleistung dieser vier Motoren diejenige Leistung, die der Frequenzumrichter an einem quasi vorgespiegelten einzigen grossen Antriebsmotor zu erzeugen hat. Um die Ansteuerbedingungen für alle Antriebsmotoren gleich zu machen, kommt es darauf an, die Leitungswiderstände und Übergangswiderstände in den Zuleitungen zu den Antriebsmotoren aufeinander abzustimmen. Dies ist bedeutsam, damit jeder Motor gleich viel Strom bekommt bzw. identisch angesteuert wird.
