Gleichzeitig erfolgt die Anordnung des Ablängmittels 7 so, dass sich auch keine Gefährdung von eventuell in der Nähe befindlichen Personen ergibt. Im gezeigten Ausführungsbeispiel kann das Schwert der Kettensäge in einer bogenförmigen Bewegung aus der Ablängposition herausgeführt werden und dabei das lange Holzstück 9 durchtrennen. Der Antrieb der Kette kann über die Hydraulikeinrichtung der Hebevorrichtung (Kran) erfolgen. Dabei würden die entsprechenden Schlauchleitungen für den Antrieb (nicht gezeigt) am Hebekran 3 angeschlossen werden. In dieser Position A3 wird dann der Holzabschnitt 10 entsprechend aufgespalten.
