Abstract

Auf eine Unterlage aufgebrachtes Bildelement (2), insbesondere Sicherheitselement, zur Kennzeichnung von Verpackungen (1), Waren und Zahlungsmittel. Um ein Bildelement (2), insbesondere ein Sicherheitselement zu schaffen, das für den Endkonsumenten leichter erkennbar und als echt beurteilbar ist, ist vorgesehen, dass es eine Kombination eines Druckbildes (4) mit einem DOVD (diffractive optically variable device) Element (5) umfasst, wobei durch zumindest teilweises Aneinander- oder Übereinanderapplizieren des Druckbildes (4) und des DOVD Elementes (5) ein gemeinsames Motiv (3) dargestellt wird und wobei das Druckbild (4) und das DOVD Element (5) jeweils das gemeinsame Motiv (3) aufbauende Teilmotive umfassen.

Description

SICHERHEITSBILDELEMENT MIT TEILMOTIVEN
Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein auf eine Unterlage aufgebrachtes Bildelement, insbesondere ein Sicherheitselement zur Kennzeichnung von Verpackungen, Waren, Zahlungsmittel und dergleichen.
Zum Nachweis der Originalität eines Produktes werden zur Zeit verschiedene Arten des Druckes und sogenannte DOVDs (diffractive optically variable devices) eingesetzt.
Zu den am häufigsten verwendeten (Druck- ) Verfahren zum Nachweis der Originalität gehört der sogenannte Sicherheitsdruck. Dieser kann beispielweise als Tiefdruck, Stichtiefdruck (ergibt einen spürbar erhabenen Druck) , Siebdruck, Flexodruck, Offsetdruck, Buchdruck oder Rastertiefdruck (durch den besonderen Schriftrandeffekt besonders schwer zu fälschen) ausgeführt sein. Der Sicherheitsdruck kann zusätzlich offene oder verdeckte Sicherheitsmerkmale enthalten, wie beispielsweise Spezialfarben, Guillochen (schwierig herzustellen und kaum kopierbar) oder Sicherheitsraster. Bei den Spezialfarben können beispielsweise Thermofarben Verwendung finden, die unter Temperatureinfluß ihren Farbton ändern, oder Reagenzfärben, die auf Chemikalien mit Verfärbung reagieren, oder wasserlösliche Farben, die bei Kontakt mit Wasser „ausbluten" oder Kopierschutzfarben, die nicht farbgetreu kopierbar sind oder nicht sichtbare fluoreszierende Farben, die erst unter UV-Licht erkennbar werden oder schwarze Farben die im IR-Licht unsichtbar werden, um einige Spezialfarben zu nennen .
Bei den genannten DOVDs handelt es sich um spezielle Sicherheitselemente, wobei wiederum unterteilt werden kann in analoge Hologramme, also mittels Photographie hergestellte Hologramme, und digitale, computergenerierte Hologramme, wie beispielsweise Trustseal, Kinegram, egapix, Heliogramm, 2D/3D Hologramm, Digital Image usw.. Jedes dieser DOVDs weist eine unterschiedliche Sicherheitsstufe auf. Die DOVDs werden als holographische Etiketten, Laminate oder Heißprägefolien gefertigt und auf die gewünschten Produkte aufgebracht.
Dem Endkonsumenten ist es zwar in der Regel möglich festzustellen, dass das ihm vorliegende Produkt einen Sicherheitsdruck aufweist bzw. mit einem DOVD versehen ist, es ist ihm jedoch nicht möglich zu überprüfen, ob diese Sicherheitsmerkmale auch korrekt sind und vom Hersteller kommen. Teilweise sind die DOVDs auch nur sehr schlecht zu erkennen und müssen unter einem bestimmten Lichteinfall betrachtet werden. DOVDs in Form von Folien können prinzipiell auf viele Produkte bzw. Produktverpackungen aufgebracht werden. Sie stehen dann jedoch in keinem Zusammenhang mit dem Produkt, da es sich im Prinzip lediglich um einen Aufkleber handelt. Sie könnten somit auch von unautorisierten Personen einfach aufgeklebt bzw. aufgeprägt werden oder als Bedruckstoff verwendet werden. Der Inhalt der Sicherheitsdrucke und DOVDs bleibt meist unbeachtet. Ausführliche Beschreibungen über die richtige Überprüfung, zB auf derselben Verpackung, wo sich das DOVD befindet, könnten das Vertrauen in die Marke schwächen und werden daher vermieden. Auch Platzgründe sprechen oft gegen eine solche Beschreibung.
Eine relative Verbesserung stellt es dar, wenn in dem DOVD oder durch den Sicherheitsdruck ein signifikantes Logo dargestellt wird, welches in unmittelbarem Zusammenhang mit dem Produkt steht, wie dies beispielsweise bei einer Schutzmarke der Fall ist. Zu beachten dabei ist jedoch die Tatsache, dass es viele holographische Möglichkeiten gibt, ein bestimmtes Logo bzw. ein bestimmtes Motiv darzustellen, die ein Konsument alleine aus dem Gedächtnis nicht zu unterscheiden vermag, so dass gerade diese Technik den Fälschern Möglichkeiten zur Nachahmung eröffnet.
Ziel der Erfindung ist es daher, ein Bildelement, insbesondere ein Sicherheitselement zu schaffen, das diese Nachteile verhindert und für den Endkonsumenten leichter erkennbar und als echt beurteilbar ist. Erfindungsgemäß wird dies durch die kennzeichnenden Merkmale des Anspruchs 1 erreicht . Dadurch kann ein prägnantes, einprägsames Motiv, welches drucktechnisch hergestellt wird, innerhalb eines DOVDs fortgesetzt werden. Es können das Druckbild und das DOVD so miteinander verknüpft werden, dass perspektivische Effekte sowie Licht und Schatten hervorgehoben werden. Weiters können eben bzw. flach erscheinende Linien im jeweiligen anderen Element fortgesetzt werden. Der Konsument kann jedenfalls sofort erkennen, ob Druckbild und DOVD zusammenpassen. Die Erkennbarkeit eines Logos oder einer Schutzmarke wird auf diese Art und Weise erleichtert. Das Anbringen bzw. Aufkleben eines DOVD auf ein Produkt reicht dann nicht mehr aus, um die Originalität zu bestätigen. Vielmehr ist eine genaue Abstimmung und Ausrichtung zwischen Druckbild und DOVD erforderlich, um das gemeinsame Motiv darstellen zu können.
Durch die kennzeichnenden Merkmale des Anspruchs 2 kann das Bildelement zusätzlich gegen Fälschungen abgesichert werden, indem das Druckbild anstelle mit herkömmlichen
Druckverfahren mit einem Sicherheitsdruckverfahren hergestellt wird.
Die kennzeichnenden Merkmale der Ansprüche 3 bis 5 beschreiben bevorzugte Ausführungsvarianten der Erfindung.
Die kennzeichnenden Merkmale der Ansprüche 6 und 7 beschreiben ein erfindungsgemäßes Verfahren zur Herstellung eines erfindungsgemäßen Bildelementes.
Im Anschluss erfolgt nun eine detaillierte Beschreibung der Erfindung anhand eines Ausführungsbeispiels . Dabei zeigt

Fig.l zeigt eine handelsübliche Verpackung 1, welche die Unterlage für ein erfindungsgemäßes Bildelement 2 bildet.
Selbstverständlich kann anstelle einer solchen Verpackung auch ein Geldschein, das Produkt selbst oder andere Gegenstände als
Unterlage dienen.
Fig.2 zeigt eine detailliertere Ansicht des Bildelements 2. Dieses umfasst ein Motiv 3, welches sich einerseits aus einem mit bekannten Drucktechniken hergestellten Druckbild 4 und andererseits aus einem DOVD 5 zusammensetzt. Wie die Aufteilung erfolgt, ist für die Erfindung nicht von Bedeutung. Wichtig ist jedoch, dass sich Linien und Flächen im Inneren des DOVDs in angrenzenden Druckbild fortsetzen.
Fig.3 zeigt ein erfindungsgemäßes Bildelement mit anderem Motiv, nämlich einem Ball mit vom Zentrum nach aussen führenden, gebogenen Linien. Die schraffierten Bereiche des Balls sind als DOVD ausgeführt, wohingegen die anderen Bereiche als normaler Druck gestaltet sind. Wichtig dabei ist wiederum, dass sich die Linien und Flächen im Inneren des DOVDs im angrenzenden Druck fortsetzen.
Das erfindungsgemäße Bildelement kann auf drei verschiedene Arten hergestellt werden. Einerseits kann zuerst das Druckbild 4 auf die Unterlage aufgebracht werden. Über das Druckbild wird dann das DOVD 5 appliziert. Eine andere Möglichkeit wäre, zuerst das DOVD 5 anzubringen und dann, über und auf das DOVD, das Druckbild 4 zu applizieren. Die dritte Möglichkeit wäre, Druckbild 4 und DOVD 5 nebeneinander zu applizieren, das heißt, jene Fläche, die vom DOVD 5 eingenommen wird, wird beim Aufbringen des Druckbildes 4 freigelassen.
Zur Aufbringung der DOVDs kann beispielsweise
Heißfolienprägung eingesetzt werden, es kann eine Mikroprägung von metallischer Folie erfolgen oder die DOVDs können als Folie unter dem Druckbild liegen. Die DOVDs können metallisch, farbig oder transparent sein. Wichtig ist bei den Druck- und Prägeverfahren, dass Registerhaltigkeit der Druckelemente zueinander gewährleistet ist.

Claims

P A T E N T A N S P R Ü C H E
1. Auf eine Unterlage aufgebrachtes Bildelement, insbesondere Sicherheitselement, zur Kennzeichnung von Verpackungen, Waren, Zahlungsmittel und dergleichen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es eine Kombination eines Druckbildes mit einem DOVD Element umfasst, wobei durch zumindest teilweises Aneinander- oder Ubereinanderapplizieren des Druckbildes und des DOVD Elementes ein gemeinsames Motiv dargestellt wird und wobei das Druckbild und das DOVD Element jeweils das gemeinsame Motiv aufbauende Teilmotive umfassen.
2. Bildelement nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es sich bei dem Druckbild um ein mittels Sicherheitsdruck hergestelltes Druckbild handelt.
3. Bildelement nach Anspruch 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass durchgezogene Linien des Motivs vom Druckbild kontinuierlich in das DOVD übergehen.
4. Bildelement nach Anspruch 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass durchgezogene Linien des Motivs vom DOVD kontinuierlich in das Druckbild übergehen.
5. Bildelement nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Licht und Schatten durch DOVD und Druckbild dargestellt werden.
6. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines ein Motiv darstellendes Bildelementes nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es folgende Schritte umfasst
drucken eines Druckbildes (4) auf eine Unterlage, wobei wahlweise definierte Bereiche des darzustellenden Motivs nicht gedruckt werden - anbringen eines DOVDs (5) neben oder auf dem Druckbild (4) oder wahlweise in dem freigelassenen Bereich, wobei Druckbild (4) und DOVD (5) ein gemeinsames Motiv darstellen
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines ein Motiv darstellendes Bildelementes nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es folgende Schritte umfasst
anbringen eines DOVDs (5) auf einer Unterlage
- drucken eines Druckbildes (4) neben oder auf dem DOVD (5), wobei Druckbild (4) und DOVD (5) ein gemeinsames Motiv darstellen
