Abstract

The invention relates to a sleeper for supporting the rails of a railway, made of a cast concrete body (1) in which receiving elements (9) are cast either in a flush position or in a hollow (11). Derartige Standardbetonschwellen sind aber nicht verwendbar, wenn in den Schienenfahrweg Meß- oder andere Sondereinrichtungen vorgesehen werden sollen, durch die die Bauhöhe beeinflußt wird oder andere Befestigungsmöglichkeiten notwendig sind. Claims (4)

  1. A sleeper for supporting the rails cf a railway, consisting of a cast concrete body (1), the external dimensions of which correspond to those of standardized track or points sleepers and which comprises reinforcing bars (17) that are distributed approximately uniformly in the longitudinal direction of the sleeper and are cast into the concrete body (1) in a pre-stressed state, wherein a connection plate (2) serving as a seating element is provided on the upper surface (4) of the sleeper at least in the vicinity of each rail mounting point, said connection plate comprising fixing elements (9) and being firmly anchored in the concrete body (1) by means of reinforcing elements (8) formed on the lower surface thereof, characterized in that the connection plate (2) is located in a depression (11) in the vicinity of the rail mounting point in such a manner that the surface of the connection plate lies below the upper surface of the sleeper and in that the fixing elements are formed in such a manner that differing special devices are attachable thereto, said devices being provided under the rails and serving, in particular, for detecting measuring signals, for environmental projection or for monitoring the rails or trains.
  2. A sleeper in accordance with Claim 1, characterized in that the connection plates (2) are in the form of straight flat places which have a round or cornered surface and are cast horizontally into the concrete body (1) in the vicinity of the upper surface (4) of the sleeper.
  3. A sleeper in accordance with any of the preceding Claims, characterized in that the connection plates (2) comprise fixing elements which are in the form of tapped borings (9), threaded bolts or clamped connections.
  4. A sleeper in accordance with any of the preceding Claims, characterized in that an additional third connection plate (13), which is flush with the upper surface (4) or is arranged in a third depression, is arranged on the upper surface (4) of the sleeper in the vicinity of the centre of the sleeper.
