Description

The present invention relates to a closure bottom with a pipe socket and a arranged on the outside of the pipe socket mounting flange, wherein at least one projection on the inside of the pipe socket is provided, which serves to hold the closure member when mounted on a container wall on a mandrel.

Corresponding closure bottoms have long been known and they are mainly used for plastic closures of cardboard packaging, eg. As for drinks or the like, in which the closure or the closure part is generally passed from the (later) container inside through an opening in the wall of the container, wherein the closure flange with the inner surface of the container wall into contact and then with this welded or glued.

For this assembly, the inclusion of the closures and the transport of the same "dome" are generally used, which fit into the interior of the pipe socket and thereby occur with the inwardly projecting projections mostly in more or less strong frictional engagement.

US 6 085 489 zeigt derartige Dornen und Verschlußunterteile. It is understood that the corresponding mandrels must be matched to the inner diameter of the corresponding closure bottom parts or more precisely to the diameter defined by the projections, on the one hand to keep a closure lower part before and during assembly safe, on the other hand, but also easily from the assembled closure lower part to be removed. US Pat. No. 6,085,489 shows such thorns and closure bottoms.

In this case, an embodiment is already known in which the projection is designed as an annular circumferential bead or lip along the lower inner edge of the pipe socket. In another embodiment, a plurality of separate, bead-like projections are provided, which are distributed over the circumference of the pipe socket on the inside and in the vicinity of the lower inner edge.

If appropriate closures have different sizes, and the mandrels must be changed to hold these closures, because a given closure size can hold only with a suitably matched mandrel, with little tolerance margin, on the one hand holding and transporting the closure base on a mandrel on the other hand, but also to be able to easily release the mandrel from the assembled closure again.

The change of the mandrels for adaptation to different closure sizes is relatively time-consuming and annoying and significantly reduces the productivity in the production or attachment of such closures. Even slight tolerances in the production of one and the same type of closure can already lead to malfunction during assembly, since the closure then either too easily slides off the mandrel or is held too tightly on the mandrel.

This problem is exacerbated by the fact that closure seals are provided on many such closures, which completely cover the cross-section of the pipe socket, so that only a relatively short section of the pipe socket for holding by a corresponding mandrel is available below the closure seal.

Compared to this prior art, the present invention seeks to provide a corresponding closure lower part, which can be held with a much larger tolerance margin on a mandrel.

This object is achieved in that the at least one projection has the shape of a wegbiegbaren web, which is inclined relative to the inner wall of the nozzle at an angle which is smaller than 90 ° and greater than 0 °.

Conventionally, while the protrusions were radially compressed by the engagement with a mandrel or the diameter defined by the protrusions was expanded by compressing the material itself, according to the present invention, instead of the relatively rigid and elastically compressible protrusions, deflectable webs are provided opposite to each other the inner wall of the nozzle inclined at an angle which is smaller than 90 ° and greater than 0 °. This effectively means that a much greater elastic path of movement is available by the bending away of the webs, as it was usually possible by the compression or radial expansion of the corresponding material. Accordingly, with the projection according to the invention in the form of wegbiegbaren, inclined to the pipe socket wall extending significantly larger tolerance deviations of the mandrel diameter compared to the pipe socket diameter can be collected so that even with different types of closure with slightly different pipe socket diameters yet one and the same mandrel can be used to the closure bottom to hold and assemble.

Conveniently, the webs are inclined relative to the pipe stub wall (more precisely opposite a tangent to the pipe stub wall) at an angle between 20 ° and 70 °, with an angle in the range of about 45 ° being most preferred. Moreover, in the preferred embodiment of the invention, the webs may be substantially parallel to the axis, ie they are connected along a substantially axis-parallel line with the inner wall of the pipe socket and they are designed as short flat webs or plates, the plane of this Platelets or webs also runs parallel to the axis of the pipe socket. In principle, it is also possible that the webs are connected along a line inclined to the axis with the wall of the pipe socket, z. B. along a diagonal line or along a line extending in the circumferential direction. The inclination of the webs relative to the wall of the cavity is then best determined in a plane which runs perpendicular to the attachment line of the web to the wall.

In particular, if the attachment line of the webs has a significant component in the circumferential direction, these webs should extend only over relatively narrow angle ranges of less than 60 ° and preferably less than 30 °, in particular with only extending in the circumferential direction webs. Namely, if the webs extend over a larger angular range, they get by the curvature of a greater rigidity and are therefore not so easy weggebegbar. Since the webs, when circumferentially extending over relatively short portions only, or when mounted along an axial line on the pipe socket, are relatively easy to move, they may also be provided with a greater length (measured perpendicular to their line of attachment) , so that also due to this fact, a larger path of movement for capturing tolerances for the webs is available.

In the preferred embodiment, several, e.g. B. three corresponding webs and preferably at least six webs are provided, which are advantageously distributed at equidistant angular intervals along the circumference of the pipe socket, preferably along the lower end portion of the pipe socket.

Further advantages, features and applications of the present invention will become apparent from a preferred embodiment, as shown in the accompanying figures. Show it:
  • FIG. 1 an axial section through an inventive closure lower part,
  • FIG. 2 a bottom view of the closure bottom according to FIG. 1 and
  • FIG. 3 a cutout enlargement FIG. 2 ,

One recognizes in FIG. 1 the axial section through a closure lower part 1, consisting of a pipe socket 2 with external thread 5 and at the lower end of the pipe socket 2 attaching externally mounting flange 3. Not shown is a usually also present closure seal, which is arranged in the interior of the pipe socket 2 and its cross section closes. Furthermore, it can be seen along the lower edge of the pipe socket in each representation a total of three projections in the form of short webs 4, which, which in FIG. 2 is better visible, relative to the wall of the pipe socket 2 are inclined.

For mounting a short mandrel is introduced from below into the pipe socket 2, whose diameter is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the pipe socket 2, wherein the webs 4 bent away, i. be pressed in the direction of the pipe socket wall, so that on the elastic restoring force of the webs 4, the closure lower part 1 is securely held on the mandrel. The closure bottom is then using this mandrel to the inner wall of a container, for. As a Kartonverpakkung, introduced, which has a corresponding opening for receiving the pipe socket 2. The pipe socket 2 is passed from the inside through this opening, wherein the flange 3 rests against the container inner wall and is welded or glued thereto. Subsequently, the mandrel is again pulled out of the pipe socket 2, wherein the flange 3 holds the closure bottom 1 on the container and in the container opening, so that the mandrel can be pulled out of the pipe socket 2 despite the frictional engagement with the easily bendable webs 4. This process generally takes place prior to the formation of the container on a continuous material web from which the container is folded or formed after the closure has been attached.

In FIG. 2 can be seen in a view from below both the closure flange and the (dashed lines indicated) wall of the pipe socket, from which a total of six projections in the form of narrow webs or lobes extend, which are inclined relative to the wall of the pipe socket 2. This becomes even more visible in the cropping magnification FIG. 2 , in the FIG. 3 is shown. The length of the webs 4, measured from the point of attachment to the pipe socket wall to the free end, is between 0.5 and 1.5 mm and the thickness of these webs is suitably between 0.3 and 0.6 mm. The angle α is in the preferred embodiment about 45 °, but can be selected smaller or larger if necessary, if z. B. larger tolerance deviations should be collected.
