The projecting element is designed to retain the closing lower part (1) when it is fixed to a mandrel inserted in the connecting sleeve (2) in a container wall. In order to provide a corresponding closing lower part that can be retained with a substantially higher margin of tolerance in a mandrel, the at least one projecting element (4) has the shape of a rib that can be flexibly moved away and which extends inclined relative to the inner wall of the connecting sleeve (2) at an angle alpha that is smaller than 90 DEG and bigger than 0 DEG .

Description

Verschlußunterteil mit Haltesteg Lower part of the closure with retaining bridge
The present invention relates to a lower closure part with a pipe socket and a fastening flange arranged on the outside of the pipe socket, at least one projection being provided on the inside of the pipe socket, which serves to hold the lower closure part on a mandrel when fastened to a container wall.
Corresponding lower closure parts have been known for a long time and they are mainly used for plastic closures of cardboard packaging, e.g. B. for drinks or the like, in which the closure or the lower closure part is generally passed from the (later) inside of the container through an opening in the wall of the container, the closure flange coming into contact with the inner surface of the container wall and then with this is welded or glued.
For this assembly, the inclusion of the closures and the transport of the same, "mandrels" are generally used which fit into the interior of the pipe socket and usually come into more or less strong frictional engagement with the inwardly projecting projections.
It goes without saying that the corresponding mandrels must be matched to the inside diameter of the corresponding lower closure parts, or more precisely to the diameter defined by the projections, in order on the one hand to hold a lower closure part securely before and during assembly, and on the other hand also to easily remove it from the assembled lower closure part to be able to be removed.
A configuration is already known in which the projection is designed as an annular circumferential bead or lip along the lower inner edge of the pipe socket. In another embodiment, a plurality of separate, bead-like projections are provided, which are distributed over the circumference of the pipe socket on the inside thereof and in the vicinity of the lower inner edge.
If corresponding closures have different sizes, the mandrels for holding these closures must also be changed, because a given closure size can only be held with a suitably matched mandrel, there being only little tolerance margin for holding and transporting the bottom part of the closure to ensure a mandrel, but on the other hand to be able to easily detach the mandrel from the assembled lock. The change of the mandrels for the adaptation to different closure sizes is relatively time-consuming and annoying and significantly reduces the productivity in the manufacture or attachment of such closures. Even slight tolerances in the manufacture of one and the same type of closure can already lead to malfunctions during assembly, since the closure then either slides off the mandrel too easily or is held too tightly on the mandrel.
This problem is exacerbated by the fact that closure seals are provided on many such closures, which completely cover the cross-section of the pipe socket, so that only a relatively short section of the pipe socket is available below the closure seal for holding by a corresponding mandrel.
Compared to this prior art, the present invention has for its object to provide a corresponding lower closure part, which can be held on a mandrel with a much greater tolerance.
This object is achieved in that the at least one projection has the shape of a web which can be bent away and which is inclined relative to the inner wall of the connecting piece at an angle which is less than 90 ° and greater than 0 °.
While the projections have conventionally been compressed in the radial direction by engagement with a mandrel or the diameter defined by the projections has been widened by compressing the material itself, according to the present invention, instead of the relatively rigid and only elastically compressible projections, deflectable webs are provided, which are opposite the inner wall of the nozzle is inclined at an angle that is less than 90 ° and greater than 0 °. This effectively means that a much larger elastic movement path is available by bending the webs away than was usually possible by compressing or radially expanding the corresponding material. Accordingly, with the projection according to the invention in the form of a web which can be bent away and extends at an angle to the pipe socket wall, substantially larger tolerance deviations of the mandrel diameter with respect to the pipe socket diameter can be absorbed, so that even with different types of closures with slightly different pipe socket diameters, one and the same mandrel can nevertheless be used in order to do this To hold and assemble the lower part of the lock.
The webs expediently incline at an angle between 20 ° and 70 ° with respect to the pipe socket wall (more precisely with respect to a tangent to the pipe socket wall), an angle in the range of approximately 45 ° being most preferred. Otherwise, the webs in the preferred embodiment of the invention can run essentially axially parallel, ie they are connected to the inner wall of the pipe socket along a substantially axially parallel line and they are designed as short, flat webs or plates, the level of which Platelets or webs also run parallel to the axis of the pipe socket. Basically, it is also possible that the webs are connected to the wall of the pipe socket along a line inclined to the axis, for. B. along a diagonal line or else along a circumferential line. The inclination of the webs in relation to the wall of the cavity is then best determined in a plane that is perpendicular to the line of attachment of the web to the wall.
In particular if the fastening line of the webs has a significant component in the circumferential direction, these webs should only extend over relatively narrow angular ranges of less than 60 ° and preferably less than 30 °, in particular in the case of webs running only in the circumferential direction. If, in fact, the webs extend over a larger angular range, the curvature gives them greater rigidity and is therefore no longer easily bent away. Since the webs are relatively easy to move if they only extend in the circumferential direction over relatively short sections or if they are attached to the pipe socket along an axially running line, they can also be provided with a greater length (measured perpendicular to their fastening line) , so that, due to this fact, there is a larger movement path for catching tolerances for the webs.
In the preferred embodiment, several, e.g. B. three corresponding webs and preferably at least six webs are provided, which are expediently distributed at equidistant angular intervals along the circumference of the pipe socket, and preferably along the lower end portion of the pipe socket.
Es zeigen:Further advantages, features and possible uses of the present invention will become clear on the basis of a preferred embodiment as shown in the attached figures. Show it:
Figur 1 einen axialen Schnitt durch ein erfindungsgemäßes Verschlußunterteil, Figur 2 eine Ansicht von unten auf das Verschlußunterteil gemäß Figur 1 und Figur 3 eine Ausschnittvergrößerung aus Figur 2.1 shows an axial section through an inventive lower part, FIG. 2 shows a bottom view of the lower part according to FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 shows an enlarged detail from FIG. 2.
Not shown is a closure seal which is also usually present and which is located in the interior of the pipe socket 2 is arranged and its cross section closes. Furthermore, a total of three projections in the form of short webs 4 can be seen along the lower edge of the pipe socket in each representation, which, as can be seen more clearly in FIG. 2, are inclined towards the wall of the pipe socket 2. For assembly, a short mandrel is inserted from below into the pipe socket 2, the diameter of which is slightly smaller than the inside diameter of the pipe socket 2, the webs 4 being bent away, ie pressed in the direction of the pipe socket wall, so that the elastic restoring force causes the Web 4 the lower closure part 1 is held securely on the mandrel. The lower closure part is then with the help of this dome on the inner wall of a container, for. B. a cardboard packaging brought up, which has a corresponding opening for receiving the pipe socket 2. The pipe socket 2 is passed through this opening from the inside, the flange 3 abutting the inside wall of the container and being welded or glued to it. The mandrel is then pulled out of the pipe socket 2 again, the flange 3 holding the lower closure part 1 to the container and in the container opening, so that the mandrel can be pulled out of the pipe socket 2 despite the frictional engagement with the easily deflectable webs 4. This process generally takes place before the container is formed on a continuous material web from which the container is folded or formed after the closure has been attached.
In Figure 2, one can see in a view from below both the closure flange and the (indicated by dashed lines) wall of the pipe socket, from which a total of six projections in the form of narrow webs or lobes extend, which are inclined to the wall of the pipe socket 2. This becomes even more visible in the enlarged detail from FIG. 2, which is shown in FIG. 3. The length of the webs 4, measured from the starting point on the pipe socket wall to the free end, is between 0.5 and 1.5 mm and the thickness of these webs is advantageously between 0.3 and 0.6 mm. The angle a is about 45 ° in the preferred embodiment, but can also be selected smaller or larger if necessary, for. B. larger tolerance deviations should be absorbed.
