Abstract
Description
Oberbegriffs des Anspruchs 1.The invention relates to a liquid-cooled mold with the features of
Preamble of
From DE 197 16 450 A1 are liquid-cooled molds for continuous casting of thin steel slabs are known in which two are opposite one another, respectively composed of a copper plate and a steel support plate Wide side walls are provided. The one mold cavity delimiting Copper plates are releasably fastened to the support plates by means of metal bolts. The Metal bolts are welded to the copper plates. This is additionally an Nickel ring used as welding filler. By welding the Metal stud with the copper plate is a point heat input, which at the Welding disadvantageous structural changes brings with it. Additionally is at the commonly used stud welding a review of the Welded joint required. If a metal bolt is damaged, it must consuming separated from the copper plate and a new metal bolt be replaced.
It also belongs to the prior art, threaded inserts directly into one introduce copper mold plate, so that the mold plate via bolts can be attached to an adapter plate or a water box. at However, mold plates of smaller wall thickness can be the safety distance between the bottom of the hole of the threaded bushing and the casting surface of the Below the mold plate. Usually there is a safety margin of 6 to 25 mm is required to allow reworking of the casting side.
Is the sum of the depth needed to screw in the threaded bushes and the distance required for the safe operation of the mold plates the bottom of the hole and the casting side are larger than the wall thickness of the mold plate, There remains only the possibility of other less effective forms of connection dodge.
The disadvantage of this solution is that usually additional recesses in the Water tank or in the adapter plate must be provided to the from the Coolant side of the mold plate protruding attachment pieces take. Furthermore, additional coolant channels are either in the mold plate or to bring in the adapter plate.
On this basis, the invention is based on the object, a liquid-cooled Mold for the continuous casting of metals with regard to the connection of copper mold plates in particular small wall thickness of an adapter plate or to improve a water tank in such a way that a fluidic convenient connection to the adapter plate or the water tank is possible.
Another object is to provide a particularly wear-resistant Mold seen at the same time thin-walled mold plates.
The invention proposes to solve the first task, a mold with the features
of
The shape of the island-like plateausockel is chosen so that the flow resistance in the coolant gap is as low as possible. The plateau pedestals own Therefore, adapted to the flow direction of the coolant streamlined Shape.
Especially when the fastening bolts are fixed with in the platform sockets Thread inserts are engaged, the mold according to the invention has the advantage a conventional releasable connection between the adapter plate or the Water tank and the mold plate, even if extreme thin-walled mold plates are used (claim 2). The high of Plateausockel can depend on the height of the threaded inserts to get voted.
A particularly low flow resistance arises when the plateau pedestal are configured diamond-shaped (claim 3). Low resistance values result but also if the plateau pedestals are drop-shaped or elliptical in cross-section are formed.
It is considered particularly advantageous if the mold plate on the Plateausockel to the adjacent adapter plate or the adjacent Water tank is supported. In this case, there are no additional spacers to form a coolant gap required because the plateau socket the distance between the mold plate and the adapter plate or the water box set and thus determine the width of the coolant gap. This has the advantage that basically no further grooves or recesses for the guidance of coolant must be provided in the adapter plate or the mold plate. That the Adapter plate and the mold plate can, with the exception of the Plateausockel to the Coolant side be designed just, whereby the production engineering effort for the production of additional coolant channels or grooves basically eliminated. Optionally, of course, coolant channels or grooves both in the Adapter plate and at least partially provided in the mold plate be.
Dadurch entstehen in der Kokillenplatte so gut wie keine Biegemomente (Anspruch 4).Another advantage of the mold plate of the invention is the fact that the Fixing bolts attacking clamping forces by the directly to Through hole adjacent support of the plateau socket on the adapter plate be introduced into the adapter plate or the water box on a short path. As a result, almost no bending moments arise in the mold plate (claim 4).
Optimal initiation of the clamping forces from the fastening bolts in the mold plate is then given when the Plateausockel a to Kokillenplatte have rounded transition area (claim 5). hereby become unwanted notch stresses in the connection area of the plateau pedestal avoided.
According to the features of
It is also possible within the scope of the invention, the plateau socket as a separate To manufacture components and then connect to the mold plate. Prefers are cohesive bonding methods such as welding or Soldering (claim 7). For very different materials is also a bonding the Plateausockel conceivable with the mold plate.
Befestigungsbolzen.
According to the features of
It is considered to be particularly advantageous within the scope of the invention if a Chill plate of small wall thickness together with an adapter plate one form a preassembled plate unit, as such, in total with a water box can be coupled. Due to the small wall thickness of the mold plate, the integration of the Coolant gaps through the plateau base and because of the directly in the Adapter plate arranged coolant passages, it is possible such Plate units for the exchange of mold plates of the same overall dimensions and connection dimensions to use (claim 10). With such a design Plate units can be made of copper plates that are much larger in size or a copper alloy can be completely and inexpensively replaced. The use a plate unit of a mold plate and a reusable Adapter plate is much cheaper than a massive mold plate Copper or a copper alloy after reaching its wear limit against to exchange a new one. In the mold according to the invention only needs exchanged the mold plate of small wall thickness for a new mold plate be reworked or on the previously used processing machines become. Advantageously, the mold plate has over its entire extent a consistent wall thickness.
In particular, to achieve high casting speeds and magnification The service life can Kokillenplatten made of a cured copper material a yield strength> 300 MPa are used (claim 11).
25 mm, vorzugsweise 10 mm bis 18 mm, liegen (Anspruch 12).By using copper materials with high yield strength, it is possible
the measured between the coolant gap and the casting side wall thickness of the
Mold plate to reduce to dimensions of the order of about 5
When using the mold according to the invention for high casting speeds,
especially at casting speeds greater than 5 m / min it is according to the
Characteristics of
As well as the stiffness of the mold plate, the Plateausockel in one Mutually spaced from about 50 mm to 250 mm (claim 14).
ist möglich (Anspruch 17).To compensate for thermal stresses it is according to the features of the
Bolzenkopfes ebenfalls Gleithilfen vorzusehen.
Essential for a relative movement between the mold plate and the
Adapter plate in the region of the connection is that the fastening bolts such

The features of
Magnesiumoxid (MgO).Subject matter of
In addition, according to the features of
As coating materials for the wear protection layer nickel and nickel alloys are used. There are also spray methods for material application possible, such as high-speed flame spraying (HVOF), wire or plasma spraying method individually or in combination. The spray-applied coating materials may be, for example, WCCo or the abovementioned oxide-ceramic materials, such as aluminum oxide (Al 2 O 3 ), zirconium oxide (ZrO 2 ) or also materials based on NiCrB.

FIG. 1 shows, in partial section, a
To cool the
In each
The
kompensieren. In a manner not shown can also slide aids in the form of sliding discs

24 passenden Oberfläche an.
Such an embodiment shows the embodiment of Figure 4. Here is

mehreren federnden Elementen gebildet.
Finally, below the sliding
In
From Figures 1 and 5 it is clear that the

The plateau pedestals 7, 7 'have
definierte gleichgerichtete Verlagerungsrichtung besitzen, wodurch Spannungen in
der Kokillenplatte 1 weiter reduziert werden. But it is also possible that all surfaces 13, 13 'of the
