Definitions
- the invention relates to a power supply device for a motorized sun protection device, such as a blind or a shutter. It relates more particularly to a supply device allowing the electrical supply of a blind motor in the absence of wiring.
- Motorized blinds type sun protection devices are now widely used in homes, shops or businesses, on the terraces of restaurants or cafes and others. These blinds are constituted by a fabric connected to a winding tube driven in rotation by an electric motor so as to carry out the unwinding or winding of said fabric.
- Such blinds are generally installed on the exterior wall of a building some time after its completion, without proper electrical wiring having been provided at the time of construction. In the case of heavy masonry walls, it is understandable that the passage of electrical conduits is problematic.
- Such blinds are also arranged, for example, on cafe terraces or public places. Again, their electrical operation requires the passage of unsightly or dangerous cables. In the latter case, it is sometimes used storage batteries and a low voltage DC motor. These accumulators are often recharged by solar panels.
- the utility model DE 200.00.681 describes, for example, an embodiment in which the photovoltaic elements are arranged on the load bar of the blind.
- the electrical supply device for a motorized blind or the like not connected to the network by electrical wiring, is characterized in that it is constituted by a removable supply device comprising an autonomous electrical supply and electrical connection means allowing the connection and disconnection of said supply device to said blind.
- the shape of the electrical supply device is that of a rod or of an elongated housing the upper part of which comprises the electrical connection means.
- the autonomous electrical supply is arranged in the lower part of the removable electrical supply device.
- said electrical supply is of the rechargeable type such as a battery or a supercapacitor.
- the device comprises at its upper part mechanical means allowing the mechanical attachment of said device to the blind, and its detachment.
- the invention also relates to the blind intended to be powered by the device, a blind which is of the type constituted by a fabric connected by one of its edges to a winding tube actuated in rotation about its general axis by an electric motor, while that it comprises a box, one end of which comprises complementary connection means, intended to cooperate with the connection means of the removable supply device.
- the electric motor is coupled with a speed converter device operating as a lifting chopper.
- FIG. 1 represents a sun protection blind at rest without its motor being supplied with electric current.
- FIG. 2 represents the removable power supply device alone disconnected from the blind.
- FIG. 3 illustrates the blind with its electrical supply supplied by the removable supply device connected at the end of the box.
- Figures 4a, 4b, 4c are schematic views illustrating the removable supply device with different possible chargers given by way of examples.
- FIG. 5 illustrates an alternative embodiment of a removable connection between the supply device and the blind.
- Figures 6 and 7 illustrate two other alternative embodiments of a removable mechanical and electrical connection between the supply device and the blind.
- the invention will be described in the context of a sun protection blind and is more particularly suitable for this type of device, but it could just as easily be used with a roller shutter, without going beyond the ambit of the invention.
- the sun protection device (1) illustrated by way of example in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, and intended to be supplied electrically by the means according to the invention, is of the blind type consisting of a fabric (2) connected by one of its edges to a winding tube (3) actuated in rotation about its general axis (X, X ') by an electric motor (4) advantageously arranged inside the winding tube as, for example , this is described in the prior French patent published under the number 2,780,748.
- the tube can be rotated on itself so as to either completely or partially wind the fabric around its periphery to place the blind in position partially or completely retracted, or cause it to unfold to deploy the fabric, thus placing the blind in the active position of total or partial protection.
- the blind of the invention is not connected to the network by electrical wiring, and that the supply device of the invention constitutes its only electrical supply, the electric motor of the blind being only supplied by the device d power of the invention.
- the electrical supply of the invention is therefore not a backup supply, but constitutes the main supply since the blind is not connected to the network.
- the electrical supply device for the blind (1) is an autonomous removable supply device (5) movable between a storage position (FIG. 2) according to which the device is separated from the blind, and an active position ( Figure 3) that the device is connected to the blind.
- the storage position is advantageously a charging position ( Figures 4a, 4b, 4c).
- the electrical connection is ensured permanently, as illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 7, or intermittently, as shown schematically in FIGS. 5 and 6.
- the removable supply device (5) consists of an elongated supply box in the form of a rod (10) comprising at its upper part (6) mechanical and electrical connection means for the blind and more particularly to the 'one of the ends (7) of its box (8). Furthermore, the power rod (10) includes the power supply necessary to power the electric motor (4) of the blind.
- This power supply is autonomous and is a battery or advantageously an electric storage element (12) of the rechargeable type such as a battery, which is dimensioned to allow a limited number of successive operations, for example 2 or 4, in order to reduce its dimensions and its weight.
- the removable power supply device (5) then comprises at its lower part (9), for example, one or more rechargeable batteries or batteries (12), housed in a battery case (16), extending the rod ( 10) at its lower part.
- the charger (17a) is constituted by a charger base (55) intended to receive the lower part (9) of the supply device (9) which includes recharging connections appropriate (24a-24b).
- the charger (17b) is a conventional charger intended to be connected to the corresponding charging socket (31) of the removable supply device (5).
- the charger (17c) is adapted to be connected to the supply device (5) by its electrical connection arranged at its upper part, connection which is described in the following paragraph.
- Connection means are provided for removably connecting the removable supply device (5) to the electrical circuit of the engine (4).
- said circuit is connected to a box end box (15) and said connection means are, on the one hand, constituted by electrical connection means ensuring the electrical connection between the battery (12) and the electrical circuit of the motor and, on the other hand, by mechanical connection means ensuring the mechanical retention and attachment of the removable supply device (5) which can in certain cases remain hooked while hanging at the end of the box.
- the electrical connection means also constitute the mechanical connection means. They consist of the cooperation of the electrical contacts (13a-13b) made at the upper part (6) of the removable supply device (5) with corresponding electrical contacts (14a-14b, 14'a-14'b) arranged on the end box (15) of the box which are connected to the electrical circuit of the motor (4).
- the motor (4) is directly connected to the electrical contacts (14a-14b, 14'a-14'b) and includes limit switches, while the removable power supply device (5) does not have an electric switch or inverter.
- the user takes the removable supply device (5) after having recharged it with the appropriate charger (17) and suspends it in its location at the end of the box, which automatically ensures the electrical connection.
- the motor will activate the winding or unwinding of the blind and the motor will stop its actuation, either when removing the removable supply device (5), or because the end of travel is reached.
- the removable supply device (5) can remain without inconvenience in its housing without problem until the opposite maneuver.
- a lateral connection projection (25) comprising the electrical supply contacts (13a, 13b), said projection being intended to be engaged.

- the user wanting to operate his blind will then choose to connect his power rod (5, 10) the corresponding connection housing, the first housing (26) to unwind the blind, and the second housing (27) to wind it.
- the two housings (26-27) are arranged one above the other, but it could be otherwise.
- the first housing (26) is at one end of the box, while the second housing
- the electric motor (4) is coupled with a converter device (22) operating, for example, in a lifting chopper.
- This device (22) is known per se and makes it possible either to raise the operating voltage such as, for example, supplying a 12-volt motor with a supply of only 3 flights, or to compensate for the gradual drop in voltage from the battery when it discharges.
- the connection means arranged at the upper part of the removable supply device (5) would then include polarization means to ensure constant polarities at the input of the electronic device and at least a third wire indicating, from a switch, the direction of rotation.
- the removable feeding device (5) has an elongated shape resembling the traditional manual crank generally used. Also, the device has a length (L) of between 70 and 170 centimeters and can be put in place at any time for maneuvering the blind.
- the winding and unwinding control will be done by pivoting the rod around its longitudinal axis (Y, Y ').
