Abstract

The machine (10) to produce a fiber web (12), e.g. for the production of fiberboards, has a recirculating press belt (14) forming a press gap (20) with a counter surface (16) at a drum (18). A number of successive press units (22) are deployed in the direction (L) of web travel, to press the belt with the web against the counter surface. At least one press unit forms a wide nip, using a wide nip shoe (24) together with a flexible belt (26) or roller mantle. At least one press unit is an adjustable bending roller. The press gap can be heated at least on one side.
