Abstract
Ein Verfahren und ein Verkehrsüberwachungssystem (SYS) zur Erkennung von Geisterfahrern auf zumindest einer Fahrbahn (FA1, FA2) mit einer regulären Fahrtrichtung (R1, R2), wobei mittels eines Positionsermittlungssystems aktuelle Positionsdaten eines Fahrzeuges (FAR) erfasst werden, anhand derer überprüft wird, ob bei Auffahren auf die Fahrbahn (FA1, FA2) zumindest ein vordefinierter Geisterfahrerpunkt (G1, G2) passiert wird, wobei nach Passieren dieses Geisterfahrerpunktes (G1, G2) anhand der Positionsdaten die Fahrtrichtung (FRR) des Fahrzeuges (FAR) ermittelt wird, woraufhin überprüft wird, ob das Fahrzeug (FAR) in eine Richtung fährt, die einen Geisterfahrer eindeutig kennzeichnet. A method and a traffic monitoring system (SYS) for the detection of ghost drivers on at least one roadway (FA1, FA2) with a regular direction of travel (R1, R2), current position data of a vehicle (FAR) being recorded by means of a position determination system, on the basis of which it is checked, whether at least one predefined ghost driver point (G1, G2) is passed when driving onto the carriageway (FA1, FA2), the driving direction (FRR) of the vehicle (FAR) being determined after passing this ghost driver point (G1, G2), whereupon it is checked whether the vehicle (FAR) is traveling in a direction which clearly identifies a ghost driver.
