    the rolling member (30) comprising two rolling surfaces (40, 46) which extend at one side and the other of a plane of symmetry (M-M) which extends perpendicularly to the first axis (X-X),
    and the normals (N1, N2) of the rolling surfaces (40, 46) having axial components (C1, C2) which are parallel with that first axis and which are directed in opposite directions, the assembly further comprising a supporting and guiding rail (18) which comprises a first pair (62) of rolling tracks which are complementary to the rolling surfaces (40, 46) of the rolling member (30), characterised in that the supporting and guiding rail (18) comprises a second pair (68) of rolling tracks which is identical to the first pair (62) of tracks and which is arranged opposite thereto, in that that second pair (68) of tracks is spaced apart from that first pair (62) of tracks so that, in the non-biased state of the rolling member (30), the rolling surfaces (40, 46) come into contact only with a single one of the two pairs (62, 68) of rolling tracks at a time, and in that the two pairs (62, 68) of tracks are connected by a central connection branch (74).
  2. Assembly according to claim 1, characterised in that each of the axial components (C1, C2) of the normals (N1, N2) of the rolling surfaces is directed counter to the plane of symmetry (M-M).
  3. Assembly according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that each rolling surface (40, 46) has a convex curved or frustoconical shape.
  4. Assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the rolling member (30) comprises two rollers (32, 34) which are mounted coaxially relative to each other, each roller (32, 34) comprising one of the rolling surfaces (40, 46).
  5. Assembly according to claim 4, characterised in that the two rollers (32, 34) are movable in translation along the first axis (X-X), and in that the assembly comprises resilient means (48, 50) which are adapted in order to act counter to axial displacement of each of the rollers (32, 34) under the action of a radial force acting on the respective rolling surface (40, 46).
  6. Assembly according to claim 5, characterised in that the resilient means comprise a spring member (48, 50) which is arranged between the two rollers (32, 34) and which biases those rollers in opposite axial directions.
  7. Assembly according to any one of claims 4 to 6, characterised in that the assembly further comprises axial stop means (28, 56, 58) which are adapted in order to limit the axial displacement of the two rollers (32, 34).
  8. Assembly according to claim 7, characterised in that the axial stop means comprise a first stop (28) which is arranged between the two rollers (32, 34).
  9. Assembly according to claim 8, characterised in that the resilient means comprise two spring members (48, 50), each of which is interposed between the first stop (28) and a respective roller (32, 34), the two spring members being in particular formed by two Belleville washers (48, 50).
  10. Assembly according to any one of claims 7 to 9, characterised in that the axial stop means comprise two second stops (56, 58) which are arranged at one side and the other of the two rollers (32, 34).
  11. Assembly according to any one of claims 4 to 10, characterised in that the rollers (32, 34) are symmetrical relative to each other.
  12. Assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the rolling member (30) comprises a roller (120) having two portions (122, 124), each of which comprises one of the rolling surfaces (40, 46), the two portions (122, 124) being fixedly joined in terms of rotation about the first axis (X-X).
  13. Assembly according to claim 12, characterised in that the roller (120) is constructed in one piece, in particular integrally.
  14. Assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 13, characterised in that the assembly further comprises a lateral guiding roller (130), in particular a single lateral guiding roller which is mounted so as to rotate on the support (100) about a second axis (Z-Z), which extends perpendicularly relative to the first axis (X-X).
  15. Assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 14, characterised in that the rolling surfaces (40, 46) are inclined relative to the first axis at every point at an angle which is greater than 5°, and preferably greater than 10°.
  16. Assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 15, characterised in that the cross-section of the rail is symmetrical relative to a centre plane (C-C) which extends parallel with the axis (X-X).
  17. Assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 16, characterised in that the sectional member comprises a passage (80) for the spindle (20) at the side opposite the connection branch (74).
  18. Assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 17, characterised in that the sectional member of each pair (62, 68) of tracks is substantially V-like in cross-section, the tracks of each pair (62, 68) being directed towards each other.
  19. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the guiding rail (18) is constituted by a sectional member having a cross-section which is constant over the length thereof, in particular an extruded sectional member.
  20. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the sectional member has a generally hexagonal cross-section.
  21. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the two tracks (62, 66; 70, 72) of each of the pairs (62, 68) of tracks are connected to each other by a planar portion so that the sectional member has a generally octagonal cross-section.
  22. Sliding door for a motor vehicle comprising a supporting roller assembly (10) and two guiding and supporting roller assemblies (12, 14), characterised in that at least one of the two guiding and supporting roller assemblies is in accordance with the assembly of any one of the preceding claims.
  23. Door according to claim 22, characterised in that the two supporting and guiding roller assemblies (12, 14) are arranged at the lower portion and the central portion of the door (8).
