  • the closing cover will be movable between a condition in which it prevents insertion of the key in a lock present in the handle and a position in which on the contrary insertion and unlocking of the lock is allowed.
  • a grip portion of said cover projects from the handle at the lower part thereof and allows easy extraction of the whole driving element 3 to enable rotation of the handle itself and therefore opening of the cabinet.

  • the sliding arms 8 are placed to the correct positions enabling them to mesh with the teeth of the cogwheel and to rest on the slide guides 15.
  • mounting of the sliding bars 8 is carried out, the emerging portions 27 of which are correctly positioned in the grooves 24 of the covering element, which element is afterwards firmly secured to the base element 20.
  • a sealing element 33 As shown in Fig. 7a, positioning of a sealing element 33 is carried out and subsequently (Figs. 7 and 8) the base element 20 is centred on the sheet metal 19.
  • Rotation of body 6 causes the reciprocating movement of the sliding arms in alternated ways, the emerging portions of said arms carrying the sliding bars 9 along with them in their translation movement.
  • a rotation from the first (vertical) operating condition to the second operating condition (transverse to the base element) of the driving element or handle involves a displacement from the locked condition to the unlocked condition of the locking means 4 and therefore enables opening of the cabinet door.
  • the invention achieves important advantages.
  • This transmission structure is of innovative planning and conception and at the same time enables a locking device reliable over time to be obtained for which particular construction or setting up expedients are not required.
  • the possibility of defining a housing for the movement-transmitting means directly on the base element 20 of the handle has been envisaged, also allowing the movement-transmitting means to be engaged within this housing before mounting of the device to the sheet metal.
