Abstract

Die Kraftstoffeinspritzeinrichtung weist eine Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe (10) und ein mit dieser verbundenes Kraftstoffeinspritzventil (12) für jeden Zylinder der Brennkraftmaschine auf. Die Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe (10) weist einen durch die Brennkraftmaschine in einer Hubbewegung angetriebenen Pumpenkolben (18) auf, der einen Pumpenarbeitsraum (22) begrenzt, welcher über eine Leitung (14) mit einem Druckraum (40) des getrennt von der Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe (10) an der Brennkraftmaschine angeordneten Kraftstoffeinspritzventils (12) verbunden ist, das ein Einspritzventilglied (28) aufweist, durch das wenigstens eine Einspritzöffnung (32) gesteuert wird und das durch den im Druckraum (40) herrschenden Druck beaufschlagt gegen eine Schließkraft in Öffnungsrichtung (29) zur Freigabe der wenigstens einen Einspritzöffnung (32) bewegbar ist. Am Kraftstoffeinspritzventil (12) ist ein elektrisch betätigtes Steuerventil (58) vorgesehen, durch das zumindest mittelbar eine Verbindung (54) des Pumpenarbeitsraums (22) mit einem Speicherraum (56) gesteuert wird, in dem bei geöffnetem Steuerventil (58) durch dieses abgesteuerter Kraftstoff unter Druck speicherbar ist.
