Claims (5)

  1. Paver having a wheeled travel mechanism (2, 3, 4) which comprises a front pair of fore-wheels and a back pair of fore-wheels and which is arranged on a base machine (1), there being arranged on the base machine (1), at the front end, a hopper (5) for holding paving material (6) and, at the back end, a screed (8) which is in articulated connection with the base machine (1) and which can be fixed in a transport position, the two pairs (3, 4) of fore-wheels being arranged in the region beneath the hopper (5) and the fore-wheels thereof to the front and back in the direction of travel on each side having individual wheel suspensions with hydraulic level equalisation, characterised in that means are provided for hydraulic isolation of the individual wheel suspensions of the pair (3) of fore-wheels arranged to the front in the direction of travel from the individual wheel suspensions of the back pair (4) of fore-wheels and for load relief of the pair (3) of fore-wheels arranged to the front in the direction of travel with respect to the underlying surface.
  2. Paver according to claim 1, characterised in that the load relief of the pair (3) of fore-wheels arranged to the front in the direction of travel is steplessly adjustable.
  3. Paver according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the individual wheel suspensions of the front and back fore-wheels are hydraulically connected to one another across the direction of travel by a respective equalisation line (23), the two equalisation lines (23) being connected by a line (24) having a directional control valve (25) by means of which the individual wheel suspensions of the pair (3) of fore-wheels arranged to the front in the direction of travel can be hydraulically isolated from those of the back pair (4) of fore-wheels and can be relieved of load with respect to the underlying surface.
  4. Paver according to claim 3, characterised in that the directional control valve (25) is connected by way of a pressure control valve (26) to a pressurised oil source (27) and to an oil sump (28).
  5. Paver according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that at least the back pair (4) of fore-wheels is arranged to be driven.
