- the laundry to be treated is supplied via the input hopper 20 of the continuous washing machine 10. This is done with the addition of liquid, in particular water, which is supplied to the input hopper 20, for example via the return pipe 42. It is thereby washed the laundry to be washed with liquid in the continuous washing machine 10. From the input hopper 20, the items of laundry with the liquid pass into the washing zone 13, where they are washed in successive washing chambers 17. Following the washing zone, the items of laundry pass into the rinsing zone 14, where they are rinsed in several rinsing chambers 18 one after the other.
- liquid in particular water
- the washed laundry is to undergo a post-treatment in the form of equipment.
- This equipment takes place in the last treatment zone, in this case the finishing zone 15.
- this has a single finishing chamber 19; but can also have several chambers.
- the items of laundry arrive in the finishing chamber 19 from the last rinsing chamber 18 together with rinsing liquid.
- the rinsing liquid (free liquor) not bound to the items of laundry is first removed from the finishing chamber 19 by supplying the rinsing liquid collecting in the recess 26 at the bottom of the finishing chamber 19 to the storage container 24 via the drain conduit 27 and the opened two-way valve 28.
- the rinse water is collected and stored.
- the temperature of the rinse water is only slightly higher than the ambient temperature (room temperature), for example, by only about 30 ° C.
- the finishing liquid or else another liquid has a higher temperature than the flushing liquid previously drained into the storage tank 24.
- the temperature of the after-treatment liquid in the last zone, namely here the finishing zone 15, the continuous washing machine 10 depends on the type of laundry items to be treated, in particular of the fabric material of the same.
- the after-treatment liquid has a temperature that is between 10 ° C and 50 ° C higher than the temperature of the rinsing liquid.
- the temperature of the finishing liquid thus has about 40 ° C to 80 ° C.
- the temperature of the finishing liquid or other liquid in the last treatment zone is about 60 ° C. The said temperature substantially preserves the finishing liquid. This temperature drops only slightly in the finishing zone 15.
- the laundry items and the remaining, unbound equipment liquid are conveyed out of the finishing chamber 19 via the connecting chute 22 and fed to the dewatering press 21 or other dewatering device.
- the laundry items bound finishing liquid (bound liquor) is now mostly pressed out by the dewatering press 21 from the laundry items and also passes into the receptacle 23.
- the in this way of the laundry items separated equipment liquid is passed from the collecting tank 23 via the drain pipe 29, the corresponding three-way valve 30 and the drain pipe line 31 to the storage tank 25 for holding the equipment liquid and stored here until the equipment liquid is used for the next finishing process in the finishing chamber 19. In this way, the equipment liquid is recycled.
- the equipment liquid If the equipment liquid is consumed, they can be supplied from the storage tank 25 via the return pipe line 39 at a corresponding position of the three-way valve 41 of the return pipe 42 and pumped through this to the input hopper 20 before by the continuous washing machine 10, as it normally with the rinsing liquid the storage tank 24 happens. But it is also conceivable to derive spent aftertreatment liquid in a sewer.
- the dispensing liquid directed into the storage container 25 still has a higher temperature than the rinsing liquid stored intermediately in the storage container 24. Should this temperature of the finishing liquid not be sufficient for reuse, the finishing liquid in the storage tank 25 or possibly also heated at another point to the necessary temperature for reuse of the equipment liquid. In order that this loses as little energy as possible in the area of the storage container 25 during the intermediate storage of the finishing liquid, the storage container 25 is preferably thermally insulated.
- the finishing liquid has a higher temperature than, for example, the rinsing liquid, which are a certain proportion of the finishing liquid heated in the bonded liquor laundry.
- the warm finishing fluid has a lower surface tension and a correspondingly low viscosity. It has been found that this can be separated to a greater extent during the pressing of the bound liquor from the laundry liquid than would be possible with the use of colder finishing liquid. Due to the use of warm or warmer finishing liquid, the laundry items after pressing the bound liquor only a relatively low residual moisture. Only this low residual moisture must be removed by subsequent drying of the laundry. This can be done faster and above all with less energy expenditure, because usually in commercial laundries, where the continuous washing machines 10 mentioned here are used, the laundry is dried by supplying energy, for example warm air.
- the method according to the invention makes it possible to recirculate rinsing liquid and finishing liquid (or other types of aftertreatment of the laundry items) separately from one another in separate storage containers 24 and 25 and especially the finishing liquid from the storage container 25
- Rinse water is removed from the finishing chamber 19 before it is filled with warmer finishing liquid, so that in the finishing chamber 19 mixing the colder rinsing liquid with the warmer finishing liquid can not take place apart from tied in the laundry items rinse.
- the alkaline rinsing liquid is also circulated by being pumped back from the storage container 24 provided for this purpose via the return pipe 42 to the input hopper 20 before the continuous washing machine 10 and serving there for washing into laundry items to be washed.
- An addition of Detergent for "neutralization" is unnecessary because no acidic, but only alkaline liquid is used to leach the laundry items. Thus, detergent can also be saved by the method.

Description
The invention relates to a method for the wet treatment of laundry items according to the preamble of claim 1.
In the wet treatment, especially in the washing and rinsing of laundry, liquids are used, which is essentially water. In the case of a post-treatment, for example, equipment of the laundry, the liquid contains additives such as finishing agents. In various treatment sections, the unbound liquid in the laundry items (referred to in the jargon as "free liquor") is removed or separated from the laundry items. At the end of the wet treatment, a part of the liquid remaining in the laundry items, the so-called "bound liquor", is mechanically separated off. The rest of the bound liquor remaining in the laundry is removed by subsequent drying of the laundry. This procedure is known from EP-A-1 076 127. The disadvantage of this is the time and energy consuming drying the laundry.
From US-A-3 431 753 a washing machine is known in which the laundry in the last rinse zone is treated with a liquid of about 80 ° C.
From EP-A-0 217 981 a continuous washing machine is known in which the rinsing takes place in a high-temperature liquid in order to save energy during the subsequent drying of the laundry can.
A discloses a drum with a single-chamber household washing machine, which should also be used for commercial purposes, in the last rinse the laundry items are rinsed warm, whereby the final spin of heated thereby garments a significantly greater drainage effect can be achieved should.
The invention is an object of the invention to provide a method that simplifies the drying of the laundry items.
A method for achieving this object comprises the measures of claim 1. Accordingly, the non-bound in the laundry liquid (free liquor) is removed before the treatment of the laundry items in the last treatment zone and replaced by warmer liquid. The treatment in the last treatment zone then takes place with liquid of higher temperature, so that after completion of the treatment, the bound liquor remaining in the laundry has a higher temperature and, accordingly, a larger part of this bound liquor, following the treatment, is mechanically separated by a separate drainage device, For example, a press or spin, can be removed from the laundry and removed in the subsequent drying only a relatively small part of the liquid or moisture from the laundry, must be. By using a liquid at a higher temperature in the last treatment zone, the laundry can be dried more easily and, above all, faster after the wet treatment. The warmer fluid has a lower surface tension and also a lower viscosity. As a result, a larger part of the liquid or moisture (bound liquor) contained in the laundry items can be mechanically removed from the laundry items following the aftertreatment. The remaining moisture content of the items of laundry is lower than in conventional methods, in which work is carried out in the last treatment zone, in particular during an after-treatment, with colder liquid which is only slightly above the room temperature.
It is advantageous to recirculate the warmer fluid used in the last treatment zone. For this purpose, the mechanically separated mostly from the laundry bound liquor, namely the liquid forming them, and preferably also the free liquor is recycled, if necessary, back to the beginning of the last post-treatment zone. Preferably, the circulated warmer liquid from the last treatment zone is temporarily stored. This is the Liquid collected from the laundry mechanically bound fleet and in particular the free fleet collected in a storage tank and fed back from this, if necessary, subsequent laundry at the beginning of the last treatment zone. The intermediate storage of the liquid of the bound liquor allows a discontinuous supply of this liquid to the last treatment zone.
According to the invention, it is further provided to reheat the liquid accumulating on, for example, a dewatering press when returning it to the beginning of the last treatment zone and / or in the intermediate container or storage container. In particular, the liquid is brought to a temperature such that at the end of the wet treatment of the laundry items in the last treatment zone and especially when separating the bonded liquor from the laundry behind the last treatment zone, the liquid of the bonded liquor still sufficient high temperature, which allows to separate a large part of the bound liquor from the laundry.
The temperature of the liquid in the last treatment zone is chosen according to the invention to be 20 ° C to 40 ° C above the average outside temperature and / or 10 ° C to 50 ° C above the temperature of the liquid at the end of the treatment zone preceding the last treatment zone , As a result, the temperature of the liquid in the last treatment zone is above about 40 ° C to 80 ° C. In the case of items of laundry which allow a higher temperature due to their fabric, the liquid in the last treatment zone may also have over 80 ° C.
Demgegenüber beträgt die Temperatur der Flüssigkeit der vorhergehenden Behandlungszone nur etwa 30°C.Preferably, the temperature of the liquid at the time of introduction into the last treatment zone is about 60 ° C. In contrast, the temperature of the liquid of the preceding treatment zone is only about 30 ° C.
The stated temperatures of the liquid of the last treatment zone, in particular a temperature in the range of about 60 ° C, causes the mechanical separation of a part of the bound liquor from the laundry, the temperature of the liquid or moisture in the laundry always significantly above Ambient temperature or the temperature of the liquid at the end of the preceding Treatment zone is located. In practice, this temperature will be only a few degrees below the inlet temperature of about 60 ° C.

From the dewatering
At the bottom of both the
From the
From the bottom of each
In the following, the method according to the invention will be described in more detail with reference to the apparatus illustrated in the figure and explained above:
The laundry to be treated is supplied via the input hopper 20 of the
In the following it is assumed that the washed laundry is to undergo a post-treatment in the form of equipment. This equipment takes place in the last treatment zone, in this case the finishing
After the free rinsing liquid has been discharged from the
Diese Temperatur sinkt in der Ausrüstzone 15 somit nur unwesentlich ab.According to the invention, the finishing liquid or else another liquid has a higher temperature than the flushing liquid previously drained into the
If the equipment of the laundry items in the finishing
The dispensing liquid directed into the
Characterized in that according to the invention, the finishing liquid has a higher temperature than, for example, the rinsing liquid, which are a certain proportion of the finishing liquid heated in the bonded liquor laundry. The warm finishing fluid has a lower surface tension and a correspondingly low viscosity. This can be done faster and above all with less energy expenditure, because usually in commercial laundries, where the
From the above it is also clear that the method according to the invention makes it possible to recirculate rinsing liquid and finishing liquid (or other types of aftertreatment of the laundry items) separately from one another in
