Definitions
- the invention relates to an active ingredient product for the toilet sector, in particular Detergent block, for refilling in attachable to the edge of the toilet Hanging baskets with cold water soluble packaging, the surrounds the active ingredient before it is used in the toilet and at least after a certain number of flushes in the toilet the active ingredient releases.
- EP-A-0697186 there is a cleaning device for toilet bowls described with a receptacle consisting of two shell halves for a water-soluble, highly viscous active ingredient with inlet openings for the rinse water and outlet openings for each of the rinse water dissolved parts of the active ingredient preparation.
- This known cleaning device ensures a high degree of functional reliability.
- the the two shell halves can be detached via a clip connection or the like Inclusion of a so-called toilet block or detergent block with each other connected. Is the respective detergent block according to a number used up by rinsing, it can be replaced by a commercially available one Replacement block can be renewed by loosening the two shell halves introduces the detergent block into the cleaning device and then closes again.
- Such detergent blocks are usually designed as strand parts; however, they can also be in tablet form.
- active ingredients can alternatively or additionally Disinfectants or fragrances, such as fragrance oils, can be provided.
- the above Active substances or combinations of active substances if they are in the Trade, mostly packaged in a water-soluble film; around you Skin damaging or impairing contact with the active ingredient avoid.
- the packaging film mentioned is kept water-soluble, so that after the introduction of the active substance thus provided with packaging in the cleaning dispenser the cold water soluble film itself dissolves and releases the active ingredient for delivery into the toilet bowl.
- the packaging is particularly useful for so-called blue rinsing blocks offered in a water-soluble film, otherwise the immediate A partial blue coloration occurs after contact with the skin can be removed several times by hand.
- the water-soluble films used are which consist of polyvinyl alcohol with minor additives.
- This packaging are formed around the active ingredient as tubular or sealed bags and sealed or in the insert or pleating wrapping around the active ingredient medium wound.
- These conventional films have a well-formed one Barrier property for what generally occurs in the active ingredients Fragrance oil.
- Fragrance oil Fragrance oil.
- the dissolving behavior of the known has a disadvantageous effect water-soluble film. Will the polyvinyl alcohol containing Packaging film when used for the first time in the cleaning dispenser not fully dissolved within the toilet, which is often the case the film dries on the detergent block.
- the object of the invention based on an improved way to find active ingredients for the toilet area to pack, in addition to the advantages of the previous packaging solution an improved and complete dissolution behavior of the packaging have.
- a related task is characterized by the characteristics of the Claim 1 solved in its entirety.
- the packaging is made on a polycarboxylate basis Foil based on special organic polymers. It's surprising how well and quickly the packaging made of polycarboxylates contains the active ingredient releases in the cleaning dispenser. Furthermore there is clinging the packaging of the active ingredient, in particular in the form of the detergent block, definitely avoided. Regardless of this, however the packaging is resistant to the usual ambient humidity as well the moisture in case of hand contact, so that an unintentional dissolution outside of the dispenser is avoided with certainty. Otherwise, the Skin from unnecessary irritation from the active ingredient for a trade-in process highly protected in the toilet basket.
- polycarboxylates mentioned are already in the detergent industry as So-called sequestering agents and / or complexing agents are known. This water swellable and soluble polymers can also be used to make films process and therefore to packaging.
- Polymers whose monomers are at least suitable are suitable as polycarboxylate partially the carboxylic acids capable of polymerization, e.g. Acrylic acid, Maleic acid, vinyl acetate, vinyl pyrrolidone and mixtures thereof.
- a vinyl acetate graft copolymer has proven to be particularly suitable. Films of the latter material can be used in particular obtained with layer thicknesses between 20 ⁇ m and 100 ⁇ m. The film leaves form in particular as a tubular or sealed bag and there is in particular the possibility of inserting the Take active ingredient in the film.
- the active ingredient product is the packaging as a coating on the Active ingredient applied.
- the coating which one in technical jargon too referred to as "coating” can be sprayed, dipped or doctored apply to the active ingredient.
- the order is particularly advantageous via spray nozzles.
- the solvent can be removed using thermal energy (heat) Remove from the coating material and this is then completely in the dried state. This drying guarantees also a safe removal of the coating material in the later Flushing in the toilet. It has proven to be particularly advantageous if the coating has a layer thickness between 20 ⁇ m to 200 ⁇ m, preferably between 20 ⁇ m to 50 ⁇ m, particularly preferably between 20 ⁇ m to 30 ⁇ m.
- a solution of 10 wt.% to 90 wt.% of the polymer by means of spray nozzles applied to the active ingredient water being the solvent suitable, but also alcohol and other common organic solvents.
- the first time value describes the duration that is necessary for the packaging film to get the first perforations.
- the second time value describes the time it takes for 2/3 of the film to come off.
- the third time value describes the complete dissolution of the film.
- the tests are carried out in 20 ° C warm water, with no stirring. The film is clamped in a round sampler with a diameter of approx. 5 cm and the dissolution behavior is then visually observed. The results of the comparative tests are listed in the table below, the values denoted by "s" in square brackets representing the time measure "second".
- 1st value 2nd value 3rd value 30 ⁇ m polyvinyl alcohol film 14 [s] 30 [s] 180 [s] (remnants) 30 ⁇ m polycarboxylate film 13 [s] 38 [s] 53 [s]
