Abstract

Ein Gehäuse (10) für einen Steckverbinder besitzt eine Kodiereinrichtung, deren eines Kodierteil (66) an dem Gehäuse (10) und deren anderes Kodierteil (58) in Nachbarschaft des Gegen-Steckverbinders vorhanden ist. Das eine Kodierteil besitzt mehrere zungenartige Kragteile (66) als Verlängerungen des Deckelteils (14) und/oder des Bodenteils. Jedes Kragteil (66) ist seitlich neben der Stirnöffnung (24) vorhanden, erstreckt sich quer zum Öffnungsquerschnitt der Stirnöffnung (24) und ist derart abbrechbar, dass im zusammengesteckten Zustand von Steckverbinder und Gegen-Steckverbinder, und damit bei an der Platte (32) ansitzendem Gehäuse (10), Kragteile (66) und Gegen-Kragteile (58) des anderen Kodierteils so gegenseitig vorhanden sind, dass die Kragteile (66) und Gegen-Kragteile (58) das Zusammenstecken von Steckverbinder und Gegen-Steckverbinder nur bei einander zugeordnetem bestimmten Vorhandensein beziehungsweise Nicht-Vorhandensein der Kragteile (66) und Gegen-Kragteile (58) nicht behindern.
