Description

The invention relates to a floor mop with two joints with a common Carrier center piece connected, carrying an absorbent mop Carrier plates and a wiper handle attached to the middle of the carrier as well as with a non-rotatable guided along the wiper handle Squeeze slide with two rigid squeeze arms, each with the back one of the two support plates are movably connected, the wiper handle is connected via a universal joint to the carrier center piece and the ends of the Squeeze arms each with a guide surface on the back of each associated carrier plate are engageable and the guide surface each Carrier plate (5) towards the free plate end to one from the back of the Carrier plate soaring elevation. Such a floor mop belongs to prior art not previously published (EP 1 208 788 A1).

Floor mop with two foldable against each other for pressing out the mop Carrier plates, also as butterfly floor wipers are in different embodiments known. In the floor mop according to US Pat. No. 5,483,720 and PCT / US / 95/10759 is a sleeve that can be slid along the wiper handle Handlebar connected to two swivel-mounted brackets on the middle part of the support slide the sleeve along the back of the two carrier plates and press them together. The wiper handle must be rigid with it be connected to the carrier center piece. This rigid connection means that Use of the floor wiper limited because only a certain one Inclination of the wiper handle in relation to the carrier plates Working position is specified.

In another known floor wiper of the type mentioned the ends of the extrusion arms rigidly connected to the extrusion slide one handlebar each connected to the back of each support plate. Will the The squeeze slide on the wiper handle is moved downwards, so the two work Handlebars as articulated struts that hold the two support plates against each other Press to squeeze out the wipe in between. Here too is the angular position of the wiper handle relative to the carrier plates in the Work position specified so that the possible uses are limited.

The object of the invention is therefore a floor mop of the aforementioned Train genus so that while maintaining the simple and effective Squeeze possibility in the working position a largely arbitrary angular position of the wiper handle relative to the carrier plates and the user it can be seen when the squeezing process has been completed.

This object is achieved with the features of claim 1 solved.

The connection of the wiper handle with the carrier plates via a universal joint enables on the one hand a freely selectable and changeable angular position of the Wiper handle opposite the carrier plates, but by the non-rotatable Connection via the universal joint a safe way of guiding the Carrier plates guaranteed by the wiper handle. The ones in their stretched out Can be arranged in the working position flat on the floor support plates by means of the wiper handle on all edges and corners of the floor surface to be cleaned be performed, whereby by the arbitrarily selectable angular position of the wiper handle universal access to all floor areas is guaranteed.

Since in the retracted position of the squeeze slide no connection exists between the squeezing arms and the support plates, the Squeezing device in a wide range, the free pivotability of the Wiper handle against the carrier plates not.

The simple touch between the ends of the extrusion arms and the Backs of the carrier plates causes the carrier plates when the Squeeze pusher from any working position they previously occupied have to be moved into their squeeze position, in which the squeeze arms along the Guide surface on the back of each backing plate can be moved to the two Finally press the carrier plates completely against each other, so that a effective and complete squeezing process is guaranteed.

The non-rotatable guide of the squeeze slide in cooperation with the in Cardan joint and rotatable connection between the wiper handle and the Carrier plates ensure that the squeeze arms when pushing the squeeze slide always reliably hit the back of the carrier plates and in with them Intervention.

Because the guide surface of each carrier plate is towards the free plate end an elevation rising from this back of the carrier plate rises at the end of the squeezing movement, an intensified, final pressing together the carrier plate causes. Since the guide surface on the side of the Elevation drops towards the support plate, it is achieved that on the squeeze slide force to be applied after exceeding the surveys at the end of the Squeezing process drops and thus gives the user a clear sign that the squeezing process is complete and completed.

Further advantageous refinements of the inventive concept are the subject further subclaims. The floor wiper shown in Figs. 1-5 has one Wiper handle 1 on a universal joint 2 with a Carrier center piece 3 non-rotatable, but pivotable on all sides connected is. The carrier middle piece 3 is on both sides attached hinges 4 each with a carrier plate 5 connected.

The two carrier plates 5 (and in the illustrated embodiment also the carrier center piece 3) carry one absorbent, squeezable mop 6, which in conventional Way of a sponge layer 7 and a pile cover 8 consists.

A squeeze slide 9 is along the wiper handle 1 displaceable. The squeeze slide 9 has a guide sleeve 10 on that on the wiper handle 1 non-rotatable longitudinally is led. For example, the sleeve 10 is in the bore a longitudinal groove 10a is provided, into which a wiper handle 1 attached pin 1 a grips.

The sleeve 10 is rigidly connected to two squeezing arms 11, that in the embodiment shown in Figs. 1-5 at their ends 11a each as a rotatable rolling element bear rotatably mounted roller 12.

In Fig. 6 it is shown that the roller 12 on an axis 13th is mounted on both sides (Fig. 6a) or on one side (Fig. 6b) can be attached to the squeezing arm 11. Instead it is also possible (Fig. 6c) as a rolling body in one Recess 14 at the end 11a of the squeeze arm 11 rotatable provide recorded ball 15. Another possible one An alternative is that the end 11a of each extrusion arm 11 has a convexly curved pressure surface 16 (FIG. 6d).

When the squeeze slide 9 to initiate a squeeze process is moved down on the wiper handle 7, the Roll 12 (or in a comparable way the ball 15 or the curved pressure surface 16), each with a guide surface 17 on the back of the assigned carrier plate 5 in Intervention. As a result, the two carrier plates 5 pivoted against each other, as in Fig. 2 at the beginning of Squeezing process is shown. To better manage the Rollers 12, the ball 15 or the pressure surface 16 can Guide surface 17 each have a flat cross section concave Have longitudinal groove 17a (Fig. 7).

The two guide surfaces 17 on the back of each Carrier plate 5 rise towards the free plate end 5a to an elevation 17b from the back of the Carrier plate 5 protrudes.

At the end of the squeezing process, which is shown in FIG. 3, the rollers 12 have reached these elevations 17b, whereby the two carrier plates 5 in their outermost squeeze position be folded against each other. It can be provided that the rollers 12 slightly exceed the elevations 17b, so that a drop in the feed force to be applied Auspreßschieber 9 gives the user a feeling that the End point of the squeezing process is exceeded.

From this squeeze position (Fig. 3) the squeeze slide 9 retracted back to its original position. in this connection are the two carrier plates 5 by a spring device, for example a leg spring 18 (Fig. 5), the Legs are connected to the support plates 5 in their stretched position moves.

Fig. 4 shows that the squeeze slide 9 moves back so far can be that the two rollers 12, the carrier plates 5 so Clear widely that these are sufficient to the side can be pivoted, as shown in Fig. 4.
