Definitions
- the invention relates to a sequin head for an embroidery machine, in particular Schifflistickmaschine, according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Sequin embroidery is a fashion item. A demand for sequined Fabrics are therefore exposed to very large fluctuations. Therefore, embroidery machines are like Ship embroidery machines usually with removable from the embroidery machine Sequin heads can be equipped.
- the sequin heads with which the applicant has so far Equipped with embroidery machines are one in four needles due to their width Schifflistickmaschine on a arranged in front of the embroidery base above the needles Arrange carrier. They are powered by compressed air.
- a first air cylinder drives via a ratchet wheel and a wart wheel coupled to the ratchet wheel Sequin ribbon through a channel in front of a place where the sequin with the needle of the Embroidery machine can be embroidered.
- the ratchet wheel and wart wheel are in one common axis arranged side by side and between two cheeks.
- a second, a cutting device drives perpendicular to the first compressed air cylinder, with which the driven sequins after attaching the sequins to the embroidery base cut from the sequin ribbon.
- the piston of this second cylinder is actuated plus a lever arm that rotates an axis.
- the axis runs next to the a cheek past the ratchet wheel and wart wheel.
- At one end of this axis is the Lever and a shear knife arranged at the opposite end, which at Rotate the axis past the channel opening and together with one Shear edge of the channel opening shears off the sequin protruding through this opening.
- sequin heads are connected to four compressed air hoses, one each for feeding and one to retract the piston of each air cylinder.
- a sequin usually requires four stitches, namely each Twice alternately a stitch through the hole in the sequin and one outside the Sequin.
- a fifth stitch is the first in relation to the next sequin and closes the Stitch the previous sequins. After at least four stitches a new sequin must therefore be pushed in and cut off.
- rhythm is a number of revolutions for the embroidery machine from manageable up to 200 revolutions per minute.
- a switchable sequin head for a sewing embroidery machine is known from US-A-4,848,253 known. This is the needle bar that can be moved vertically up and down with one Eccentric driven by a lever arrangement.
- a drive rod for the Sequin head can be coupled to the needle bar. The coupled drive rod moves up and down synchronously with the needle bar. Slides when moving down its lower end in a first phase over a sliding surface of a pivotable Drive lever, which is pivoted thereby. By swiveling the The drive lever becomes a wart wheel that is mounted on the drive axis of the drive lever rotated, which advances a sequin with each pivoting.
- the Drive axle is mounted on a shaft with the advancing swivel movement the drive lever becomes a blade lever on the same shaft via friction pivoted and thereby raised a blade, so that the path for the sequins between the blade and a shaving edge.
- the advanced sequin lies in front of the shearing edge and is by the downward-piercing needle on the embroidery base sutured.
- the drive rod slides over in a second phase of the downward movement a parallel to the direction of movement of the drive rod side surface of the Drive lever while holding it in the swivel position so that the sequins in front of the The cutting edge is still when the needle is inserted.
- a disadvantage of this device is the dependence of the blade movement on Frictional forces between the blade lever and the drive lever, as well as the Reset of the drive lever via spring force. These disadvantages stand out high-speed operation of the sequin head.
- Another disadvantage is that the Movement of the blade and the feed movement are coupled to one another in such a way that the sequin ribbon is advanced before the blade is raised to the path to release for the front sequin.
- a sequin head should be proposed, which at least 500 revolutions per minute an embroidery machine can work reliably. In doing so the wear of the mechanical parts can be kept as low as possible.

- the drive expediently pivots a pivoting part of the Alternating actuation mechanism.
- a connecting rod is articulated on the swivel part, which is connected to the feed device.
- the swivel part is with the Cutting device connected in such a way that the cutting device is then actuated when the drive connecting rod passes through the dead center. This allows the same Swiveling movement can be precisely advanced and cut. The blade rises again before the next feed movement begins.
- the cutting device therefore blocks the feed path for the sequin belt only when none Feed takes place.
- the actuating mechanism expediently has a clutch lever, with which it can be detachably connected to the drive.
- the actuation mechanism is formed in a preferred embodiment such that the drive by a alternating movement must take place. Alternating movements can be done with pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders are generated. However, it is preferred the generation of the alternating movement by means of a crank drive.
- crank drives with cams on one rotating shaft, the swivel arms that grip the cams and on these attached, extending over the entire length of the embroidery machine drive rods a drive technology proven in embroidery machines.
- These crank drives can be used suitable design run with very high tours.
- a crank drive for Sequin heads are therefore advantageous with the other crank drives of the embroidery machine connected by a common gear and thus exactly with the Stitching process synchronized.
- a control member is also advantageous Control of the clutch lever arranged on the sequin head.
- This control unit must respond very quickly and be precisely controllable.
- a suitable organ is a pneumatic cylinder with a return spring for the piston.
- the piston is advantageously used to release the clutch lever from the drive Air pressure pressed into a first position and to connect the clutch lever with the drive from this first position by the return spring to a second position withdrawn.
- a connecting rod connected to the pawl is advantageous a pivoting part pivotable by the drive about an axis.
- a jacket curve is advantageously formed in the swivel part, in which the Lever of the cutting device engages.
- the jacket curve is expedient formed such that the pivoting of the lever of the cutting device in one Swivel range of the swivel part takes place, in which the drive connecting rod at least performs almost no drive motion.
- the shape of the sequin head is advantageous Design such that a sequin head is arranged at every second embroidery site can. It is particularly important that its width is nowhere double Needle spacing, which is usually 27.08 mm, exceeds.
- an inventive Sequin head which is designed for the drive with a crank drive, must an embroidery machine equipped with a separate crank drive for sequin heads his.
- the pivoting drive rod of the cube drive for driving the Sequin head is expediently arranged over the needles.
- the movement of the drive rods of the different crank drives one Embroidery machine is advantageous with a plurality of over the length of the embroidery machine distributed gearboxes for parallel driving of crank drives achieved. Blade 47 therefore exposes the lower opening of channel 107. If the control cylinder 97 receives the signal for releasing the clutch lever 25, the piston 99 snaps into the cylinder under the action of the spring force of the return spring 97. A leg spring (not shown) presses the clutch lever 25 against the in Figure 10 drive rod 23, not shown, and thus couples the sequin head. The Sequin head then pushes one with each drive movement of the drive rod 23 Sequins 61 and shears them immediately after the feed movement from Sequin tape 19 from.
- the control cylinder is controlled as follows: If there is one Control voltage on the control cylinder opens a valve through which the air pressure is released can escape from the cylinder, and a second closes the compressed air supply line. Immediately the piston 99 swings in due to the spring tension of the return spring Control cylinder 97 back into the control cylinder. In the absence of the control voltage close and open the valves vice versa and is therefore under the control cylinder 97 Print. This causes the piston 99 to advance. These functions are guaranteed by a 3/2-way valve.
- FIGS. 12 to 14 show the sequence when sewing on a sequin 61.
- the needle with the front thread 119 sticks into the embroidery base 12 for one preparatory stitch 121.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a sequin head for an embroidery machine, in particular Schifflistickmaschine, according to the preamble of claim 1.
Sequin embroidery is a fashion item. A demand for sequined Fabrics are therefore exposed to very large fluctuations. Therefore, embroidery machines are like Ship embroidery machines usually with removable from the embroidery machine Sequin heads can be equipped. The sequin heads with which the applicant has so far Equipped with embroidery machines are one in four needles due to their width Schifflistickmaschine on a arranged in front of the embroidery base above the needles Arrange carrier. They are powered by compressed air. A first air cylinder drives via a ratchet wheel and a wart wheel coupled to the ratchet wheel Sequin ribbon through a channel in front of a place where the sequin with the needle of the Embroidery machine can be embroidered. The ratchet wheel and wart wheel are in one common axis arranged side by side and between two cheeks. A second, a cutting device drives perpendicular to the first compressed air cylinder, with which the driven sequins after attaching the sequins to the embroidery base cut from the sequin ribbon. The piston of this second cylinder is actuated plus a lever arm that rotates an axis. The axis runs next to the a cheek past the ratchet wheel and wart wheel. At one end of this axis is the Lever and a shear knife arranged at the opposite end, which at Rotate the axis past the channel opening and together with one Shear edge of the channel opening shears off the sequin protruding through this opening.
These sequin heads are connected to four compressed air hoses, one each for feeding and one to retract the piston of each air cylinder. To the Stitching a sequin usually requires four stitches, namely each Twice alternately a stitch through the hole in the sequin and one outside the Sequin. a fifth stitch is the first in relation to the next sequin and closes the Stitch the previous sequins. After at least four stitches a new sequin must therefore be pushed in and cut off. In this With the well-known sequin head, rhythm is a number of revolutions for the embroidery machine from manageable up to 200 revolutions per minute.
However, newer embroidery machines work with a number of tours of 400 to 600 tours per Minute. With these, this sequin head is a strong working speed limiting factor.
Should be on a machine equipped with the well-known sequin head different colored sequins are processed, so at most everyone can look out Need to be worked, or the sequin ribbons must be changed every time the color is changed change.
Another disadvantage of the previous sequin heads is that the movements of the pistons The air cylinders are very sharp and cause wear and tear on them lead moving parts and their bearing parts.
A switchable sequin head for a sewing embroidery machine is known from US-A-4,848,253 known. This is the needle bar that can be moved vertically up and down with one Eccentric driven by a lever arrangement. A drive rod for the Sequin head can be coupled to the needle bar. The Drive axle is mounted on a shaft with the advancing swivel movement the drive lever becomes a blade lever on the same shaft via friction pivoted and thereby raised a blade, so that the path for the sequins between the blade and a shaving edge. The advanced sequin lies in front of the shearing edge and is by the downward-piercing needle on the embroidery base sutured. The drive rod slides over in a second phase of the downward movement a parallel to the direction of movement of the drive rod side surface of the Drive lever while holding it in the swivel position so that the sequins in front of the The cutting edge is still when the needle is inserted. In a third phase of Downward movement strikes the drive rod against the blade lever and gives away this in relation to the drive lever in such a way that the blade is pressed down and the advanced sequin is sheared off between the blade and the shearing edge. at the subsequent upward movement of the drive rod pivots the drive lever back under the action of spring force. This remains in through a role a ratchet wheel held and only in one direction of rotation with its axis the rotating wart wheel.
A disadvantage of this device is the dependence of the blade movement on Frictional forces between the blade lever and the drive lever, as well as the Reset of the drive lever via spring force. These disadvantages stand out high-speed operation of the sequin head. Another disadvantage is that the Movement of the blade and the feed movement are coupled to one another in such a way that the sequin ribbon is advanced before the blade is raised to the path to release for the front sequin.
It is therefore the object of the invention to propose a way how to embroidering embroidery ground can be filled with sequins faster than before. In particular, a sequin head should be proposed, which at least 500 revolutions per minute an embroidery machine can work reliably. In doing so the wear of the mechanical parts can be kept as low as possible.
According to the invention in a sequin head for an embroidery machine with a Feed device for feeding a sequin ribbon and one Cutting device for cutting a sequin from the sequin band, one by means of a single drive driven actuation mechanism for actuating both the Feed device and the cutting device formed. Through the Designing an actuation mechanism in such a way that a single drive is sufficient to drive both devices, a second drive and in particular a synchronization of the two drives. A common drive can also be trained together for all sequin heads. Thanks to a mechanical Synchronization of cutting and advancing the sequin band within the Actuation mechanism are and remain these two process steps optimal coordinated. Through the mechanical connection of the two Process steps are not impaired, even with high machine speeds Working accuracy of the sequin head to be expected.
The drive expediently pivots a pivoting part of the Alternating actuation mechanism. A connecting rod is articulated on the swivel part, which is connected to the feed device. The swivel part is with the Cutting device connected in such a way that the cutting device is then actuated when the drive connecting rod passes through the dead center. This allows the same Swiveling movement can be precisely advanced and cut. The blade rises again before the next feed movement begins. The cutting device therefore blocks the feed path for the sequin belt only when none Feed takes place.
The actuating mechanism expediently has a clutch lever, with which it can be detachably connected to the drive. The actuation mechanism is formed in a preferred embodiment such that the drive by a alternating movement must take place. Alternating movements can be done with pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders are generated. However, it is preferred the generation of the alternating movement by means of a crank drive. The production of alternating movements via crank drives with cams on one rotating shaft, the swivel arms that grip the cams and on these attached, extending over the entire length of the embroidery machine drive rods a drive technology proven in embroidery machines. These crank drives can be used suitable design run with very high tours. A crank drive for Sequin heads are therefore advantageous with the other crank drives of the embroidery machine connected by a common gear and thus exactly with the Stitching process synchronized.
If a clutch lever is provided between the drive and Actuating mechanism of the sequin head, a control member is also advantageous Control of the clutch lever arranged on the sequin head. With the control body leaves connecting the embroidery machine and the sequin head during operation Clutch lever with the drive or a release of the clutch lever from the drive Taxes. This control unit must respond very quickly and be precisely controllable. On A suitable organ is a pneumatic cylinder with a return spring for the piston. In this, the piston is advantageously used to release the clutch lever from the drive Air pressure pressed into a first position and to connect the clutch lever with the drive from this first position by the return spring to a second position withdrawn.
If the feed device in the tried and tested way a rotatable forward with a pawl Has ratchet wheel, a connecting rod connected to the pawl is advantageous a pivoting part pivotable by the drive about an axis. Is now the cutting device in an equally proven manner by pivoting a lever operable, a jacket curve is advantageously formed in the swivel part, in which the Lever of the cutting device engages. The jacket curve is expedient formed such that the pivoting of the lever of the cutting device in one Swivel range of the swivel part takes place, in which the drive connecting rod at least performs almost no drive motion. As a result, the sequin ribbon will then cut when it practically stands still.
There is a mounting plate on the sequin head for attaching the sequin head articulated on an embroidery machine. Due to the swiveling of the mounting plate the operating mechanism with feed device and cutting device of Swivel the sequin head in relation to the embroidery machine and thereby into one Adjust work position or a rest position. In the rest position, the The clutch lever cannot be engaged by accidentally switching the cylinder.
For greater flexibility when embroidering with different colored sequins or one To achieve greater machine performance, the shape of the sequin head is advantageous Design such that a sequin head is arranged at every second embroidery site can. It is particularly important that its width is nowhere double Needle spacing, which is usually 27.08 mm, exceeds.
For embroidery with a preferred embodiment of an inventive Sequin head, which is designed for the drive with a crank drive, must an embroidery machine equipped with a separate crank drive for sequin heads his. The pivoting drive rod of the cube drive for driving the Sequin head is expediently arranged over the needles.
The movement of the drive rods of the different crank drives one Embroidery machine is advantageous with a plurality of over the length of the embroidery machine distributed gearboxes for parallel driving of crank drives achieved. If this is the case, at least one of these gears is provided for this and adjusted accordingly to drive the crank drive for the sequin heads. The Crank drive for the sequin heads and, if need be, its specific gear part detachably placed on the gearbox. This allows the repeated Converting a machine for embroidery with or without sequin heads.

In Figure 1, a
From the crank drive is a
Vielzahl von miteinander verbundenen Pailletten 61 (Fig. 12).The
Schwenkteil 27 ausgebildete Mantelkurve 53 eingreift.
The sequin head works as follows: To activate the sequin head, the
gleichgerichtet.This drive movement moves the
vorstehende Paillette 61 vom Paillettenband 19 ab.The articulated on the
In Figure 3, the
The
entfernen.The
Figure 4 shows the cutting device on its own. In the
Am Lagerblock 13 ist eine Platte 71 angeordnet. An der Platte 71 ist eine Scherkante 59
ausgebildet.
The
Verstellzylinders 87 verdrehbaren Verstellwelle 89 sitzen.
As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the
Nichtgebrauch verbleiben kann.FIG. 5 shows the lower working position in which the
gestrichelt angedeutet.Caused by the non-parallel arrangement of the lower and upper lever 79.81

The precise height of the
The drive of the sequin head is shown in detail in FIG. Above the
The practically completely equipped
Antriebsstange 23, Schwenkteil 27und Klinkenhebel 39 dargestellt.
In Figure 9, the
benachbarten Paillettenköpfen.FIG. 10 shows the
Paillettenband 19 ab.In the view according to FIG. 10, the
Druck. Dies bewirkt, dass der Kolben 99 vorgeschoben wird. Diese Funktionen werden
durch ein 3/2-Wegeventil gewährleistet. The control cylinder is controlled as follows: If there is one

Paillettenband 19 abgeschert (Linie 126, Fig. 13).
35 zurückgezogen und danach eine neue Paillette 61 vorgeschoben.FIGS. 12 to 14 show the sequence when sewing on a
Since the embroidery ground moves between the two stitches by the amount of the stitch length

The sequence of movements of the feed mechanism of the
In summary, a
