Abstract
Description
The invention relates to footwear with a shaft, at least Partially provided with a waterproof functional layer, the preferably permeable to water vapor, and with an outsole, in particular a glued outsole. In addition, the concerns Invention a method for producing such a shoe.
There are shoes whose shoe upper due to the lining with a Functional layer is waterproof and permeable to water vapor. One such shoe upper remains breathable despite waterproofness. There are special effort required to ensure lasting water resistance in the area between the sole side end of the shaft and sole construction sure.
To achieve this, one has sock-like inserts, in professional circles Also called Bootie, between the shaft and sole construction on the one hand and used on a lining on the other. Because such booties through Welding of blank parts into their shape, they do not need to have suture holes. The usage of Booties, however, are quite elaborate in making when the booties should reasonably correspond to the respective shoe shape.
Another known method is to lower the area of the Shoe construction and thus the lower part of the with Functional layer lined and optionally with a Insole sewn shaft with outsole material one seal molded outsole. But that can not be prevented In general, water is affected by capillary effects water - conducting upper material of the shaft to the sole end of the Shank and thus to the sole side end of the functional layer and over water bridges, especially in the form of textile fibers at the cutting edge of the sole side end of the shaft, to which on the Inside the functional layer located, in general very strong water-absorbent lining gets.
These problems are known from EP 0 298 360 B1 Sole structure overcome, in which in the area of the sole side Shanking the functional layer a supernatant with respect to the Upper material, which is bridged with a net, from one side on the upper and the other side on the Functional layer and is sewn to the insole. It is the Supernatant of the functional layer of outsole material sealed, the during gating, in which it is liquid, the net band has penetrated. Opposite water, which runs along the upper until under the area covered by the outsole of the sole side Shank has penetrated, the net is a barrier, especially if it is a monofilament network band, so Such water is not up to the sole side cutting edge of the Functional layer and thus not to the inner lining of the footwear can penetrate.
This network solution has proven to be extremely successful. Because in In this case, the sealing of the sole side end region of Functional layer requires the injection of an outsole, this is known method limited to shoes with molded outsole and can not be used on shoes with attached outsole. Thus she is not synonymous for shoes of elegant design Available. The molding of outsoles requires high mold costs, which lead to a long payback period and correspondingly high Production quantities of the respective shoe type and the respective Make shoe size a requirement.
From DE-A-38 40 263 a similar shoe structure is known, in which one opposite a outsole-side upper end excellent supernatant of a runner end of a Functional layer is bridged by a sealing tape in which it is a textile band that has a one- or two-sided Polyurethane coating has and a sealing connection between the functional layer supernatant and one the sealing band should cause overlapping edge of a molded outsole. Also this solution is limited to shoes with molded outsole.
From WO-A-9641548, which falls under Art 54 (3) EPC and represents the closest prior art, is a footwear with glued outsole in which a outsole-side end region of a Upper material to the outside and a outsole-side end of a Function layer feed are turned inside, with the after on the outside turned over upper end area on one frame-shaped first insole is sewn and the post inside folded functional layer lining end area between the first insole and one above the Functional layer lining end region located second insole is arranged. The function layer lining end region is by means of a sealant in the form of a for the production of shoes commonly used glue or one coated with polyurethane hotmelt adhesive Do not stick tape with the second insole and over an adhesive more specific type glued to the first insole.
Shoe structures are known in which the functional layer in the Solbenseitigen end also a projection on the Upper material, but where no net is present. Here, the outsole material in the supernatant directly injected onto the functional layer. This method is only suitable for footwear with molded outsole.
With the invention footwear is made available in which the sole side shank end area with any outsole with as possible little effort and with as few process steps permanently can be made waterproof.
Footwear according to the invention has a shaft and an outsole on, wherein the shaft with an upper and with a Upper material on the inside at least partially lining, waterproof functional layer is constructed and a sole side Shank end region with an upper end region and a Function layer end region has. The outsole is with the Shank end area connected. The functional layer end region has an edge area not covered by the upper end area. In one embodiment of the invention, this edge region is through a supernatant extending beyond the upper region educated. On the edge area or supernatant is an in Outsole circumferential direction closed adhesive zone of a Reactive hot melt adhesive, which in the reacted state to Water resistance leads, applied.
The sealing function, which in conventional footwear the specified above with outsole material is achieved in the case of inventive footwear by the on the supernatant of Functional layer end region applied reactive hot melt adhesive causes, on the one hand in the liquid state before reacting a has particularly high creep ability and on the other hand in the ausgeregierten Condition leads to particularly high and permanent water resistance. The Raktivschmelzklebstoffbstoff can be with very simple means Apply, for example, paint, spray or in the form of a Apply adhesive strip or an adhesive bead, wherein the Make reactive hot melt adhesive adhesive by heating and thereby fixate on the supernatant before the reaction and the concomitant permanent bonding with the functional layer in the Range of their supernatant begins.
The waterproofness of the sole construction of waterproof footwear with any outsole is thus extremely easy way and with achieved extremely simple process steps. The inventive Method therefore leads to low production costs for waterproof Shoes.
In one embodiment of the invention, the extends Schaftendbereich substantially perpendicular to the tread of the Outsole (hereinafter also referred to as vertical extension) and the Funktionsschichtendbereich is towards the tread beyond the upper end area. With another Embodiment of the invention, the Schaftendbereich extends in essentially parallel to the tread of the outsole (hereafter also referred to as horizontal extension) and extends the Functional layer end region towards the outsole center beyond the upper end area. The first embodiment is particularly suitable for shell-shaped outsoles, the one perpendicular to the tread of the outsole have the highest edge. The latter embodiment is particularly suitable for shoes flat, plate-shaped outsoles, as in particular at more elegant shoes are used.
In one embodiment of the invention, the supernatant is by means of bridged a connecting strip whose one longitudinal side with the Obermaterialendbereich and the other longitudinal side with the Function layer end region is connected. With another Embodiment of the invention, there is such a bridge of the Supernatant not.
The reactive hot melt adhesive is either in the region of the supernatant applied directly to the functional layer, if no Connecting strip is present, or he will be on the outside of the applied to the supernatant bridging connecting strip when a connection strip is present. So that in the latter case to Sealing the functional layer with the reactive hotmelt adhesive comes, is selected for the connecting strip, a material for the liquid or liquid made before reacting Reactive hot melt adhesive is permeable.
The presence of such a connecting strip allows one hand a permanent watertight seal between between the Funktionsschichtendbereich and the glued outsole and On the other hand, it allows the tensile forces to be released while tensioning the Function layer end region above the last on the functional layer be exercised, for example by means of string pull ("string lasting") or by means of collets, wholly or at least partially on the To guide upper material, rather than exclusively on the less loadable functional layer to act.
The connection strip is preferably with open mesh material constructed of thermoplastic net material or textile Material, preferably monofilament textile material, is formed. Of the Connection strip can have any other shape, for example, with staples, large-sized or long Be formed stitches or similar structures. Of the Connecting strip should mainly fulfill the task sufficient flow of liquid reactive hot melt adhesive for a permitting permanently watertight sealing of the functional layer and the physical relief of the functional layer and transmission or splitting the load between the upper and the Insole material (when tweaking) or cord pull (at the string Lasting).
Für erfindungsgemäßes Schuhwerk geeignet ist ein Netzband der Gebrüder Jaeger GmbH & Co. in Wuppertal, Deutschland, mit der Artikelnummer 23851.Suitable for footwear according to the invention is a net of the Gebrüder Jaeger GmbH & Co. in Wuppertal, Germany, with the Item number 23851.
The invention is suitable for footwear with or without footwear Insole. In the latter case, the sole side Functional layer end area lashed together by means of drawstring. there becomes the upper end portion at the functional layer end portion glued or sewn, optionally via a net, or the Functional layer end region and the upper end region are each lashed together by means of its own string pull.
In particular, in footwear constructions in which it is difficult or for lack of accessibility is impossible, the cord of the Schnurzugs too the time at which the tensioning of the cord train required is to lash down, advantageously becomes an elastic means, for example, in the form of an elastic cord train with a elastic cord, which the Funktionsschichtendbereich in the direction Sole center biased, used.
In one embodiment of the invention with mesh tape is one of them Long side with the Obermaterialendbereich and the other Longitudinal side with the Funktionsschichtendbereich and possibly with the insole connected, preferably by sewing.
In a method of preparation according to the invention footwear according to the invention is carried out as follows: It is a shaft created with an upper and with one the upper on the inside at least partially lining, waterproof functional layer constructed and with a sole side shank end region is provided. The upper becomes with a sole side upper end region and the Functional layer comes with a sole side Function layer end region provided, wherein the Functional layer end area with one not from the upper covered edge area is provided. In one embodiment of the Invention, this edge area by a over the Upper end region extending supernatant of the Function layer end region formed. On the edge area or Supernatant becomes closed in outsole circumferential direction Adhesive zone of a reactive hot melt adhesive, which reacted in the Condition leads to water resistance, applied. To the Schaftendbereich an outsole is attached.
The bonding of the reactive hot melt adhesive with the functional layer becomes particularly intimate when the reactive adhesive after the Apply to the supernatant mechanically against the functional layer suppressed. For this purpose, preferably a pressing device, e.g. in the form of a Anpreßkissens, with a through the Reactive hot melt adhesive not wettable and therefore with the Reactive hot melt adhesive non-adherent, smooth material surface, for example, non-porous polyterafluoroethylene (also under the Trade name Teflon known). Preferably used this a Anpreßkissen, for example in the form of a rubber pad or air cushion, whose Anpreßoberfläche with a foil from the mentioned material, for example non-porous polytetrafluoroethylene, is coated, or one arranges before the pressing process between the provided with the reactive hot melt adhesive sole construction and the Anpreßkissen to such a film.
In one embodiment of the invention, the outsole with glued to conventional solvent adhesive or hot glue, These are, for example, polyurethane-based adhesives is. Solvent adhesive is an adhesive made by adding vaporizable solvent has been made tacky and cures due to evaporation of the solvent. hot glue is an adhesive, also called thermoplastic adhesive, by Heating is brought into a sticky state and by Curing cures. By reheating, such adhesive may be used repeatedly brought into the adhesive state.
Preferably, a moisture curable Reactive hot melt adhesive used on the area to be bonded applied and exposed to moisture to react. at An embodiment of the invention becomes a thermally activatable and moisture curable reactive hot melt adhesive used, which is thermally activated, on the area to be bonded applied and exposed to moisture to react.
The production becomes particularly simple and economical inventive shoes when using Reactive hot melt adhesive, the thermally activated and by means of Moisture, e.g. Water vapor, can be brought to the curing reaction.
It can also be used foaming reactive hot melt adhesive if you want to use its increased volume, what it does makes it particularly suitable to fill cavities and in gaps or Niches that can form in the network band area. This allows a particularly reliable water resistance be brought about. Foaming can be achieved by that the reactive hot melt adhesive during application with a gas is swirled, which is for example a mixture of Nitrogen and air act.
As reactive hot melt adhesives adhesives are referred to before their activation from relatively short molecular chains with a middle Molecular weight in the range of about 3000 to about 5000 g / mol consist, are non-sticky and, if necessary, after thermal Activate, be brought into a reaction state in which the crosslink relatively short molecular chains to long molecular chains and harden, mainly in a humid atmosphere. By doing Reaction or curing period they are sticky. After this they can not be reactivated by curing. At the Ausreagieren it comes to three-dimensional networking of Molokülketten. The three-dimensional networking leads to a particularly strong protection against the ingress of water into the Adhesive.
Suitable for the purpose according to the invention are e.g. Polyurethane reactive hot melt adhesives, resins, aromatic Hydrocarbon resins, aliphatic hydrocarbon resins and Condensation resins, e.g. in the form of epoxy resin.
The curing causing crosslinking reaction of PU reactive hot melt adhesive is usually by moisture causes what humidity is sufficient for. There are blocked PU reactive hot melt adhesives whose crosslinking reaction only after Activation of the PU reactive hotmelt adhesive by means of thermal Energy can begin, so that such hot melt adhesive open, i. in an environment with humidity, can be stored. On the other hand, there are non-blocked PU reactive hot melt adhesives, in where a crosslinking reaction takes place already at room temperature, when in a humid environment. The latter reactive hot melt adhesives must be as long as the Crosslinking reaction should not take place yet, before humidity keep protected.
Both types of PU reactive hot melt adhesives are in the unreacted state usually in the form of rigid blocks. In front the application to the areas to be bonded is the Reactive hot melt heated to melt it and thus to be spread or commissioned. In the case of using unblocked reactive hot melt adhesive must undergo such heating under exclusion of humidity. When using blocked reactive hot melt adhesive, this is not necessary, however make sure that the heating temperature below the unblocking activation temperature remains.
Aktivierungstemperaturen für solche PU-Reaktivschmelzklebstoffe liegen etwa im Bereich von 70 °C bis 180 °C.In one embodiment of the invention PU reactive hot melt adhesive used with blocked or is built up capped isocyanate. To overcome the Isocyanate blocking and thus activation of the with the Blocked isocyanate reactive reactive adhesive must have a thermal activation are performed. activation temperatures for such PU reactive hot melt adhesives are approximately in the range of 70 ° C to 180 ° C.
In another embodiment of the invention is unblocked PU reactive hot melt adhesive used. The crosslinking reaction can be accelerated by heat.
In a practical embodiment of the method according to the invention is a PU reactive hot melt adhesive used under the Designation IPATHERM S 14/242 from H.P. Fuller in Wells, Austria, is available. In another embodiment of the Invention is a PU reactive hot melt adhesive used under the name Macroplast QR 6202 from the company Henkel AG, Dusseldorf, Germany, is available.
In one embodiment of the invention, reactive hot melt adhesive is used used, which is the already mentioned PU reactive hot melt adhesive can act, the carbon particle, Metal particles with electrical conductivity or particles of others Materials are admixed which have such electrical conductivity have that they heat selectively by means of microwave energy let or such an absorption capacity for different Radiation, such as infrared radiation, have that they Such radiation can be heated selectively. As a result of Energy absorption heat up the reactive hot melt adhesive mixed particles and cause a warming of the Reactive hot melt adhesive "from the inside out". The particles work as in the reactive hot melt embedded "heating elements". By appropriate selection of the heating energy can be achieved that other materials of shoe construction than the Reactive hot melt adhesive or not heat only relatively little. The Particles have e.g. Fiber form. The carbon particles become the Reactive hot melt adhesive with a weight fraction in the range of about 0.1% o to about 5% o, preferably in the range of about 0.1% o to about 3% o and particularly preferably with a weight fraction of 2% o added. For metal particles are about the same Addition amounts. For a reactive hot melt adhesive using embodiment, such an adhesive mixture applied to the point to be bonded before the gluing process. The Footwear is then subjected to activation heating, For example, by means of microwave energy, ultrasound or Infrared heating. This heating is such that a Heating the carbon particles, metal particles or energy absorbing Particles of another kind takes place, through which the Reactive hot melt adhesive is activated and liquefied. At a Infrared heating can, for example, by the targeted insertion certain wavelengths are excluded that more than just the reactive hot melt adhesive is heated. By warming up the Reactive hot melt adhesive by means of the embedded Energy-absorbing particles will thus protect the other Footwear components reached before excessive heating. Through this embedded particles can also be a reduction of required exposure time in the heating of the Reactive hot melt adhesive reach.
Particularly preferred is a functional layer that not only impermeable to water but permeable to water vapor. This allows the production of waterproof shoes, despite Waterproofness stay breathable.
As a "waterproof" is considered a functional layer, optionally including provided on the functional layer seams, if it ensures a water inlet pressure of at least 1.3 · 10 4 Pa. The functional layer material preferably ensures a water inlet pressure of more than 1 × 10 5 Pa. The water inlet pressure shall be measured by a test method in which distilled water is applied at 20 ± 2 ° C to a sample of 100 cm 2 of the functional layer with increasing pressure. The pressure increase of the water is 60 ± 1 cm Ws per minute. The water inlet pressure then corresponds to the pressure at which water first appears on the other side of the sample. Details of the procedure are specified in the ISO standard 0811 from the year 1981.
ISO 11092 (19/33) beschrieben. As a "water vapor permeable" a functional layer is considered, if it has a water vapor transmission rate Ret of less than 150 m 2 · Pa · w -1 . The water vapor permeability is tested according to the Hohenstein skin model. This test method is described in DIN EN 31092 (02/94) or ISO 11092 (19/33).
Whether a shoe is waterproof can e.g. with a centrifuge assembly of the type described in US Pat. No. 5,329,807. A There described centrifuge assembly has four pivotable held holding baskets for holding footwear on. With that you can Two or four shoes or boots are tested simultaneously. at This centrifugal arrangement will be water leak to find Make use of footwear centrifugal forces caused by rapid Centrifuging the footwear are generated. Before centrifuging water is poured into the interior of the footwear. On the Outside of the footwear is absorbent material such as Blotting paper or a paper towel arranged. The centrifugal forces practice on the water filled in the footwear pressure, which causes water to get to the absorbent material when the Footwear is leaking.
In such a waterproof test, water is first introduced into the Footwear filled. For footwear with upper, no has sufficient inherent rigidity, is stiff in the shaft interior Stabilizer material arranged to collapse the shaft during centrifugation. In the respective holding basket is blotting paper or a paper towel to which the testing footwear is set. The centrifuge is then used for a certain amount of time set in rotation. After that, the centrifuge stopped and then the blotter paper or paper towel Check if it is wet. Is it damp, has the shoes tested failed the waterproof test. Is it dry? tested footwear passed the test and is considered waterproof classified.
The pressure that the water exerts during centrifuging depends on the shoe size depending on the effective shoe area (Sole surface), from the mass of the filled in the footwear Amount of water, from the effective centrifuge radius and from the Centrifuge speed off.
Suitable materials for the waterproof, water vapor permeable Functional layer are in particular polyurethane, polypropylene and Polyesters, including polyetheresters and their laminates, as described in US Pat US-A-4,725,418 and US-A-4,493,870 are. However, particularly preferred is stretched microporous Polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), as for example in the US-A-3,953,566 and US-A-4,187,390, and oriented polytetrafluoroethylene which is hydrophilic Impregnating agents and / or hydrophilic layers is provided; please refer For example, the document US-A-4,194,041. Under one microporous functional layer is understood as a functional layer their average pore size is between about 0.2 μm and about 0.3 μm is located.
The pore size can be measured with the Coulter Porometer (brand name) measured by Coulter Electronics, Inc., Hialeath, Florida, USA.
The Coulter Porometer is a measuring device that provides an automatic measurement the pore size distributions in porous media, the (im ASTM standard E 1298-89 described) Fluid displacement method is used.
The Coulter Porometer determines the pore size distribution of a sample by an increasing pressure of air directed to the sample and by measuring the resulting flow. These Pore size distribution is a measure of the degree of uniformity the pores of the sample (i.e., a narrow pore size distribution, that a small difference between the smallest pore size and the largest pore size exists). It is determined by dividing the maximum pore size by the minimum pore size.
The Coulter Porometer also calculates the pore size for the middle one Flow. By definition, half of the flow is through the porous sample through pores instead, whose pore size above or is below this average flow pore size.
If ePTFE is used as the functional layer, then the Reactive hot melt adhesive during the bonding process in the pores of these Functional layer penetrate, resulting in a mechanical anchoring of the reactive hot melt adhesive in this functional layer. From ePTFE existing functional layer may be on the side with which it in the bonding process with the reactive hot melt adhesive in contact comes with a thin polyurethane coating. at Use of PU reactive hot melt adhesive in conjunction with a such a functional layer is not just mechanical Compound but also to a chemical compound between the PU reactive hot melt adhesive and the PU layer on the Functional layer. This leads to a particularly intimate bonding between the functional layer and the reactive hot melt adhesive so that a particularly durable water resistance is ensured.
As an upper material such as leather or textile fabrics suitable. In the case of textile fabrics, for example to act on woven, knitted, knitted, fleece or felt. These Textile fabrics can be made from natural fibers, for example Cotton or viscose, made of synthetic fibers, for example Polyesters, polyamides, polypropylenes or polyolefins, or from Mixtures of at least two such materials can be made.
On the inside of the functional layer is usually a Lining material arranged. As lining material, that with the Function layer often connected to a functional layer laminate are the same materials as they were previously for the Upper material are specified. The functional layer laminate can also have more than two layers, based on that of the Lining layer side of the functional layer a textile side can be located.
The outsole shoe according to the invention can be made of waterproof Material such as Rubber or plastic, for example polyurethane, made of non-waterproof but breathable material such as leather in particular or with rubber or plastic inlays provided leather. In the case of non-waterproof outsole material The outsole can be made waterproof by, at Maintaining the breathability that they at least in places, where the sole construction is not already by other measures waterproof, with a watertight, water vapor permeable functional layer is provided.
The insole of the footwear according to the invention may be made of viscose, e.g. a viscose, fleece, under the trade name Texon, e.g. Polyester fleece to which melt fibers may be added, leather or glued leather fibers. Insoles from such Materials are permeable to water. It will be here to describe the location of individual shoe components the terms used vertically and horizontally. This refers to the Representations in the figures and corresponds to the idea that is Shoes with their outsole in most cases on one horizontal floor or a different horizontal surface are located.

Fig. 2 zeigt eine zweite Ausführungsform eines erfindungsgemäßen

Fig. 3 zeigt eine dritte Ausführungsform eines erfindungsgemäßen

The

In FIGS. 17 to 19 and 22 to 31, embodiments of FIGS Invention shown in which a sole side Upper end region angled outwards and with the Peripheral edge of a sole is sewn.
Figures 17 to 19 show in highly schematic

Funktionsschicht 15 perforiert, was Wasserundichtigkeit des Schuhs
hervorrufen würde. In the production phase of the twelfth shown in FIG

In the production phase shown in FIG

Figures 20 and 21 show a schematic plan view from below

noch nicht mit Reaktivschmelzklebstoff 33 versehen ist.In FIGS. 20 and 21, a
A thirteenth embodiment will now be described with reference to FIGS. 22-25

Also in this embodiment is footwear, at

Fig. 22 shows a manufacturing phase of this footwear, in which the

Within the
In diesem
Vernetzungsreaktion in Gang setzen.
Aktivierungstemperatur bringen. After making the
beispielsweise dort festgeklebt. Damit ist eine Herstellungsphase
erreicht, wie sie in Fig. 25 gezeigt ist. After bonding the reactive hot melt adhesive 33 with the
verwendet. In Figs. 26-31, various production phases are one

Schuhwerks. In the production phase shown in Fig. 26, the bonding takes place

After the production of the
beispielsweise mittels herkömmlichen Laufsohlenklebstoffs 35 in Form
von Lösungsmittelklebstoff. Damit ist die in Fig. 30 gezeigte
Herstellungsphase erreicht.
After the activation of the reactive hot melt adhesive 33 to a

With a conventional, non-elastic cord pull could be

The inventive use of a
in Richtung Laufsohlenzentrum vorzuspannen.
In connection with those described in Figs. 22 to 31
