- the investors 8 have, according to FIG. 3, in a manner known per se Gripping drum 10 and sucker, not shown here, or others Gripping means with which the Planobogen 3 on the bottom the stacking device 9 are individually pulled off and folded.
- the control when pulling and separating the Planobogen 3 takes place preferably by a read head, not shown here, that at the beginning and at the end of the printed product 1 for example a printed control character or a barcode recognizes.
- the plano sheets can 3 are grooved in a manner known per se before folding.
- the folded plano sheets 3 of a printed product are each collected on a sword 11.
- the number of collected Planobogen 3 can vary from printed product to printed product his.
- the order of the plano sheets collected 3 on the respective sword 11 corresponds to the page order of the Printed product.
- the dropping of the planobow 3 on the collection chain 12 is done synchronously and by a Control not shown triggered here, so that the divisions the collection chain 12 are sequentially filled as completely as possible.
- Fig. 3 shows the collection chain 12 with dropped printed products 37, 38, 39 and 40. These printed matter are here still provided without envelope 14, the discarded printed matter added by means of a further folding feeder 13 becomes. The envelope 14 is thus additionally added and then the printed products are complete and can bound by means of a device not shown here, for example, stapled. 3 shows on the far left a finished printed product 1 that is only bound must become. The following printed product 1 'can be the same or another printed matter.
- the printed product 1 is in particular a brochure that, for example, up to Can have 200 pages.
- the folding feeder 8 is preferably driven separately adjustable electric motors 25.
- the drive of the collecting chain 17 and for example a stitching machine 15 or one Cutting machine takes place via a common additional drive motor 17th
- the collected plano sheets 3 are saddle-shaped on the cross-sectionally triangular sword 11, the fold F is at the top and in the transport direction according to the Arrow 31 runs. Arms protruding steeply to the side 11b keep the collected and folded plano sheets 3 spread. Runs parallel to the sword 11 and below it the collecting chain 12.
- This has chain links 34, on which saddle-shaped pads 33 are attached and in one Rail 12 are slidably guided. On some of these editions 33 an upwardly projecting driver 32 is attached. If the sword 11 is withdrawn as mentioned above, it will fall the collected Planobogen 3 on the collection chain 12 and carried by drivers 32. The dropping takes place of course synchronized with the running of the collection chain 12.
- planobogen 3 ' In the arrangement according to FIGS. 4 and 5, one is sequential printed paper web 2 'processed by means of a Cutting device 16 'only transversely to the transport direction Planobogen 3 'is cut.
- These plano sheets 3 ' have for example the A3 format and this is transverse according to FIG. 5 aligned to the direction of transport.
- the cut plano sheets 3 'become with a switch 4 as already explained above transported to an upper level 35 or to a lower level 36 and transported there in the shingled stream.
- the scale flow of the upper level 35 is determined by means of a Transport device 7a to the stacking device 9 of a folding feeder 8 and the shingled stream of the lower level is with a shorter transport device 7b horizontally to a stacking device 9 of a further folding feeder 8 transported.
- the transport device 7a leads from the upper one Level 35 sloping down to the level of the lower level 36.
- the sheet 3 'of the web 2' are thus on two folding feeders 8 split. Before the plano sheets 3 'in the fold feeders 8 are folded, they are as explained in the stacking devices 9 stacked.
- This stacking of the sheet 3 'in the stacking devices 9 has the essential advantage that the material flow is decoupled through the stack formed therein and a kind of buffer is formed by the stacking devices 9 becomes.
- the stacking devices 9 for example for a short time more than usual plano sheets 3 'are stacked. Even in the event of a delay due to the transport devices 7a and 7b, the folding feeder 8 can still use the supply of the plano sheets 3 'continue working in the stacking devices 9.
- buffer means include in EP-A-0 876 977, EP-A-0 739 838 and DE-A-36 08 055.

- the envelope is folded by means of a further folding feeder 13 and attached.
- the performance of a folder feeder 8 15,000 plano sheets 3 'per hour, so you can processed a total of 30,000 plano sheets 3 'per hour become.
- an execution is also conceivable which uses more than two levels, for example four levels become. Accordingly, more than two investors can 8 can be used for separating and folding.
- the envelope 14 is attached to the plano sheet 3 ', then this, for example, by means of a stitching machine 15 on the fold F stapled.
- Staplers 15 are well known to those skilled in the art and these are preferably with overhanging stitching heads 15a.
- 4 is a stapled printed product with 1 ". This printed product 1" can be printed here not shown cutting device still on the three free Sides are cut.
- This cutter, the gathering chain 12 and the stapler 15 are preferably together driven by motor 17.
- the drive of the folder feeder 8 and 13 is preferably done individually by a regulated one Electric motor 25.
- the printing press 22 In the event of a brief malfunction in further processing, for example in a stapler 15, the printing press 22 must not be interrupted, since the accumulated during the fault Planobogen 3 added in the stacking devices 9 can be.
- the stacking device 9 can be enlarged the stacking capacity also supplemented by other buffering agents or be replaced. Once the fault has been remedied, you can the stacks reduced by a higher performance of the folding feeder 8 become.
- the speed of the folding feeder 8 is then, for example, 120% of the speed of the printing press 22.
- the collection chain and the subordinate ones run accordingly Machining devices faster.
- the printed paper web 2 is turned into plano sheets 3 or 3 'cut.
- the Planobogen 3 consist of two A4 and the sheet 3 'from two A5 formats. There are but other divisions are also possible in principle.
- the distribution can either be in single sheets or in groups respectively.
- the scales S are formed and fed to the folding feeders 8 by means of conveyor belts.
- plano sheets 3 and 3 ' are known Tipped by vacuum suction not shown here and by means of a rotating gripper, not shown here sporadically.
- the separation is interrupted by a suction shelter and the investor can be stopped.
- process step F the isolated plano sheets 3 or 3 'folded.
- the folding feeder 8 is driven preferably independently of the stapling machine 15 the adjustable electric motors 25.
- the plano sheets 3 are transported or 3 'on the collecting chain 12.
- This method step is shown in FIG indicated with H.
- the collection chain 12 runs in one certain speed ratio to the number of fold feeders 8 and the number of plano sheets to be collected 3 or 3 '.
- the synchronous dropping of the collected plano sheets onto the Collection chain 12 is carried out by the pneumatic retraction of the corresponding sword 11. This is done by a controller triggered and occurs so that the divisions of the collection chain 12 can be completely filled sequentially.
- the subsequent steps in further processing concern the feeding of an envelope according to I, the stapling K by means of the stapling machine 15 and the cutting L by means of one here not shown trimmer or other cutting machine.
- This stack 9 ' forms a buffer and is by means of a sheet feeder 8 ' isolated and opened.
- the opened arc sections will as explained above collected on a sword 11 and the complete collected brochures dropped on the collection chain 12.
- the folding device 41 consists essentially in a known manner from a folding sword 43, which the folded web sections 3 "'between two counter-rotating rollers 42 suggests.
- Fig. 10 illustrates the method that by means of 8 and 9 is feasible.
- the procedure differs essentially from that according to FIG. 7 by cutting track sections 3 "and that subsequent folds C ', through which the distribution is usually unnecessary.
- Such distribution is fundamental also possible with this procedure.
- 10 shows, can by means of a further digital printing machine 22 in parallel second paper web 2 '' printed, cut, folded, buffered, be separated and collected. After collecting the Track sections are placed on a common collecting chain 12 discarded and sent for further processing. On the collection chain The brochures of two digital printing machines thus become 12 22 collected. These two digital printing machines 22 can print at the same time. However, it is also conceivable that only one of these two digital printing machines 22 prints. The use of two or more than two digital printing machines 22 is also advantageous for very large brochures.
- a first digital printing machine 22 prints a first group of Sheets that are opened and collected via a feeder 8.
- the second digital printing machine 22 prints the second group of sheets on the collection chain 12 with the first group be gathered.

jeweils zwei Planobogen 3 nebeneinander. Der Transport der
vereinzelten Planobogen 3 erfolgt gemäss Fig. 2 mittels einer
Transportvorrichtung 26, die ein Oberband 26a und ein Unterband
26b aufweist. Die Bahn 2 wird mittels der Schneidvorrichtung
16 somit quer und längs geschnitten.1 schematically shows a
The

The folded
Fig. 3 shows the

Puffereinrichtungen
sind u.a. in der EP - A - 0 876 977, EP - A - 0
739 838 und DE - A - 36 08 055 offenbart. In the arrangement according to FIGS. 4 and 5, one is sequential

The flat sheets 3 'are in the
Elektromotor 25.If the
Bearbeitungsvorrichtungen schneller. In the event of a brief malfunction in further processing, for example

The inventive method, which with the arrangement according to

Im Verfahrensschritt B wird die bedruckte Papierbahn 2 in Planobogen
3 bzw. 3' geschnitten. Die Planobogen 3 bestehen aus
zwei A4 und die Planobogen 3' aus zwei A5 Formaten. Es sind ja
aber grundsätzlich auch andere Aufteilungen möglich. In process step B, the printed
9' aufgestossen. Diese Stapel 9' bilden jeweils einen Puffer,
durch den vergleichsweise kurzzeitige Unterbrechungen in der
Weiterverarbeitung ohne Rückwirkung auf die Digitaldruckmaschine
22 aufgenommen werden. Bei einem längeren Unterbruch
kann die Digitaldruckmaschine 22 gezielt heruntergefahren werden. For decoupling the
In den Falzanlegern 8 werden die Planobogen 3 bzw. 3' in bekannter
vereinzelt. Bei einer Störung in der Weiterverarbeitung kann
die Vereinzelung durch eine Saugunterstellung unterbrochen und
der Anleger gestoppt werden.In the
In der Fig. 7 ist das Puffern mit D und das Vereinzeln mit E angedeutet.7 is the buffering with D and the separation with E indicated.
Im Verfahrensschritt F werden die vereinzelten Planobogen 3
bzw. 3' gefalzt. Hierbei können die Planobogen 3 bzw. 3' in an
unterstellt. Während dieser Zeit können die Planobogen 3 bzw.
3' exakt aufgestossen und durch Zurückziehen des Schwertes 11
auf die Sammelkette 12 abgeworfen werden. In process step F, the
After collecting, the
The subsequent steps in further processing concern

in Querrichtung in Bahnabschnitte 3'' geschnitten. Diese
Bahnabschnitte 3" umfassen jeweils mehrere, beispielsweise

zweite Papierbahn 2'' bedruckt, geschnitten, gefalzt, gepuffert,
vereinzelt und gesammelt werden. Nach dem Sammeln der
Bahnabschnitte werden diese auf eine gemeinsame Sammelkette 12
abgeworfen und der Weiterverarbeitung zugeführt. Auf der Sammelkette
12 werden somit die Broschüren von zwei Digitaldruckmaschinen
22 gesammelt.
Fig. 10 illustrates the method that by means of
8 and 9 is feasible. The procedure
differs essentially from that according to FIG. 7

The second digital printing
