Abstract

Apparatus for accumulating successive stacks of superimposed sheets on discrete pallets employs a conveyor which delivers a continuous imbricated stream of sheets to a stacking station where a pallet descends with an elevator and gathers a first stack. A separating finger is inserted into the accumulation of sheets at the stacking station at a level above the topmost sheet of the fully grown first stack. The thus obtained gap is increased by lowering the finger at a speed less than that of the elevator, the increased gap receives a positioning member which attracts the lower part of the growing second stack by suction, a table is inserted into the increased gap between the partitioning member and the fully grown stack, the fully grown stack and its pallet are withdrawn from the stacking station and replaced with a fresh pallet, the table and the partitioning member are withdrawn from the stacking station so that the growing second stack descends onto the second pallet, and the above-enumerated sequence of steps is tereupon repeated.

Description

The invention relates to a method and a device for changing Pallets for sheet stacks with continuous delivery of sheets to the stacking point. Furthermore, the invention relates to a release jaw for a such device.

Such methods and devices are known in the art. Under sheet example, individual sheets of paper, foil, plastic or the like. understood, which have a flat shape. Under the term sheet pile are understood to mean collections of superimposed bows. Under the The term stacking point is understood as the point at which the sheet stack emerges from the funded bow is formed.

In the paper processing industry, so-called collection stations are used single sheets, e.g. from a cutter by cutting one running track, continuously, i. continuously, to one Promoted stacking site and there to sheet layers or Bogenstapein one above the other placed. During this accumulation of sheets at the stacking point must Sheet pile with a defined number of sheets for further processing of the sheet Stacking away. Mostly the sheets are stacked on pallets educated. This means that in the removal of the sheet stack of the Stack of sheets on the pallet or together with the pallet from the stacking point Will get removed. Due to the continuous promotion of the bow to the Stacking point must remove the filled pallet and an empty pallet to the Stacking be brought without the stacking of the sheet pile over Fee is disturbed.

A known method for making such a pallet change in Continuous promotion of bow to the stacking point is known from DE 36 16 470 C2 known. The method disclosed there also shows the closest State of the art. In these known methods, a number of Sheet at the stacking location to a first stack of sheets on a first pallet stacked. Subsequently, a separating finger of the in the conveying direction of the arc back side of the sheet stack between the first sheet pile and the subsequently fed bow inserted.

This separation finger is now lowered more slowly than the first sheet stack, so that a gap between the nachgeförderten, lying on the release finger Forming the bow and the first sheet pile. This gap is now a first Jaw inserted. Subsequently, the separating finger from the gap taken out again, to the top of the pile of nachgeförderten bow up and there again from the back side between the next subsequent sheet and the stack of sheets pushed on the first jaw. Now, the release finger is lowered again slower than the first jaw with the stack on it, so that there is another, second gap between the first jaw and the one located on the separating finger Bow forms. In this second gap, a second jaw is inserted. Now it will be between the first and the second jaw Sheet pile sandwiched between the jaws by the jaws be moved towards each other.

Then the first pallet with the first sheet stack below the one of the Jaws clamped sheet pile lowered, so that below the from the jaws clamped sheet pile forms a gap in the one Auxiliary table can be retracted. After retracting the auxiliary table in the Gap, the pallet is carried away with the first sheet pile. Subsequently a new pallet is placed under the auxiliary table. Then the Auxiliary table again from the gap below the held by the jaws Bow pile pulled out, so that of the jaws held stack of sheets on the arranged below the auxiliary table pallet can be lowered. Next, the clamping of the solved by the jaws clamped sheet pile by the distance the jaws is enlarged again to each other. The must upper jaw slightly raised, as the lower jaw directly adjacent to the empty pallet. Subsequently, first the lower jaw from the gap between the empty palette and the previously clamped stack of sheets and then the upper jaw pulled out of the gap above the previously clamped sheet pile become. Then the cycle starts again.

Furthermore, from EP 0 77 3179 A2 a device of the aforementioned Kind known, which has a separating sword, from the side between the two arches, between which the gap is to be formed, enters and supports the upper arc in the trailing edge region until an auxiliary stack carrier has reached its inserted position. This works Separating sword with a holding device, such. a separating wedge, in the Wise together that the latter is the separating sword and the upper bow in the Hinderkantenbereicht ansaugend holds from below until the auxiliary pile carrier retracted. A similar device is found in the US 2,853,299, but in contrast to the aforementioned state of Technology no separating sword is provided, but the separating wedge itself is used to form the gap between the two arches.

Achieve the known from the prior art methods and equipment Although the desired purpose of the pallet change, but is to Achieving this goal a relatively high design effort of needs. Object of the present invention is therefore a less expensive To create device.

This object is achieved by a method according to claim 1 or by a device according to claim 11 or a separating jaw according Anpruch 12th solved.

The advantages of the invention are, in particular, that due to the invention an entrapment of a stack of bows no longer necessary is. Rather, due to the invention, the sheet is sucked to the separating jaw, so that no force on the sheet pile or on the single sheet is necessary in the stacking direction. Beyond that thanks to the invention, the jaws superfluous, which is a considerable simplification of the method and also according to such a method represents working device.

The invention takes advantage of a special property of a sheet pile, the due to the precision of today's cutting devices on its side surfaces practically forms a closed, almost smooth surface. These The fact makes it possible to suck in such a stack of sheets from the side.

A preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention is characterized in that in the method according to claim 1 the Generating the gap between the first sheet stack and the following Arc is obtained by the separating finger slower against the Stacking direction of the first

Sheet pile is lowered as the first sheet pile itself. This way creates the gap in a simple way.

A further preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention has the step, the same time with or after the introduction of the release jaw in the is taken from the gap generated by the separating finger gap of the separating finger from the gap. This embodiment allows, for example, that the separating finger is not in a recess in the separating jaw must be performed. Alternatively, it is possible to guide the separating finger in a recess of the separating jaw, so that the Separating jaw can be pushed into the gap, while also the separating finger still in the gap.

A particularly preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized that provided in the separating jaw the subsequent arc facing openings are through which the subsequent bows are sucked by this Openings gas, preferably air, is sucked. In this embodiment, the Separating jaw, for example, be designed as a hollow body, in which hollow body a vacuum is generated. The hollow body is then next to the openings in his Wall also provided with openings through which the hollow body to the Suction side of a fan or other vacuum source is connected.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the separating jaw sucks the bottom arch at its bottom. Thus, this floor is additionally fixed.

The invention is characterized in that in one already in the effective range of Trennbacke from subsequent sheets formed beginning of a new stack of Back of this new stack is sucked by the release jaw. Furthermore The suction of the back of the new stack can also cumulatively to that Suction of the bottom provided in the area of the back of the new stack become. The latter embodiment promises additional and maximum fixation of the new stack on the separating jaw thus working. The release jaw is included preferably formed as an angle. In this case, the separating jaw preferably has two at right angles disposed surfaces, each having openings through which a negative pressure in the region of these surfaces is generated. The one surface is arranged parallel to the plane of the arc, while the other surface is arranged parallel to the back of the new stack. Thus, with the help of a Such rectangular release jaw a maximum contact area of Separating jaw and back or of separating jaw and bottom in the area of Back of the new stack achieved.

Another preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention is characterized in that during the introduction of the auxiliary table at least one band arranged on its surface is activated in such a way that the relative velocity between the band and the lowest bow of the subsequent arc is substantially equal to zero. This way too when introducing the auxiliary table in the through the inventive release jaw formed gap markings at the bottom of the new stack or at the Underside of the bottom arc of the post-conveyed bow avoided.

A particularly advantageous and particularly preferred embodiment of Invention is characterized in that during the introduction of the auxiliary table Gas, preferably air, is blown against the underside of the belt. To this Way, the friction between the auxiliary table and the belt is reduced. It is particularly preferred if that on the surface of the auxiliary table arranged band to avoid a relative speed of auxiliary table surface and bottom following bow is formed as a cloth.

Further preferred embodiments of the invention are in the subclaims specified.

An embodiment of the method according to the invention and an embodiment the device according to the invention will now be explained with reference to the drawing.

Die Zeichnung zeigt:

Fig. 1 bis 10
The drawing shows:
Fig. 1 to 10
an embodiment of a method according to the invention in the form of ten schematic snapshots of the inventive method performing device according to the invention.

Fig. 1 shows schematically a device 1 for changing pallets for Sheet stack with continuous delivery of sheets to the stacking point. The Device 1 has a feed belt 2. Be on the conveyor belt 2 Bow 4 promoted to a stacking point 6. The stacking point 6 is in the conveying direction limited by a supported as a stop for the stacking point 6 bow front-end adjuster 8. The front-end 8 opposite the Stacking point 6 through a schematically illustrated, wall-like rear Installer 10 limited. The front-end 8 and the rear-end 10 run vertical. The feed belt 2 runs horizontally. Down is the stacking point 6 bounded by a horizontally arranged pallet 12. The pallet 12 is - like indicated by the arrow 14 - lowered down to ermögüchen that the Top edge 16 from already stacked on the pallet 12 sheet 4 always in the remains the same height, i. relative to the conveying plane of the feed belt 2 remains unchanged. The lowering of the pallet 12 required lowering are not shown in the drawing.

The front-end 8 has through holes 18. The drill holes 18 connect the front 20 of the front-end 8 with a back 22 of the At the back 22 is around the area in which the Through holes 18 open a cavity 24 is provided. In the cavity 24 is by a pumping means, not shown, a negative pressure generated.

The rear 10 does not have in the side views shown in the figures visible recesses through which a separating finger 26 and a separating jaw 28th reach the area of the already stacked on the pallet 12 sheet stack 30 can.

The separating finger 26 is by means of a schematically indicated drive 32nd emotional. The separating finger 26 can both in the direction indicated by the arrow 14 Direction down, as well as in the opposite direction, as well as in Direction to the sheet stack 30 to be moved. The separating finger 26 can be moved independently of all other parts of the device 1. Of the Separating finger 26 has a base plate 34, which in the one shown in FIG Basic position of the separating finger 26 runs parallel to the rear of the organizer 10. At the feed belt 2 facing the end 36 of the base plate 34 of the Separating finger 26 is perpendicular to the base plate 34 a the actual separating finger 26 forming partition plate 38 is attached. In this context, be sure indicated that the distance shown in the figures, the sheet 4 at the Stacking point 6 or in the sheet stack 30 only to facilitate understanding the drawing is used. Of course, in reality, the distance is the arc 4 equal to each other 0.

The release jaw 28 is formed as well as the separation finger 26 as an angle. Also the separating jaw 28 has a parallel to the rear 10 runner Base plate 40 on. On the base plate 40 is on the feed conveyor the second facing away from a nose 42 is arranged. The nose 42 runs first from the base plate 40, starting perpendicular to the base plate 40, wherein the nose 42 at its front end is rounded. In the perpendicular to the base plate 40th extending portion of the nose 42 are through holes 46 in the wall 48th the nose 42 provided. These holes 46 in the wall 48 of the nose 42 connect the surface 44 of the nose 42 with a cavity 50 within the Separating jaw 28. In this cavity 50, a negative pressure can be generated, so that the openings 46 in the wall 48 air from the outside space into the cavity 50 is sucked. In addition, in the cavity 50 is an overpressure producible, so that through the holes 46 in the wall 48 of the nose 42 air blown outward. The negative pressure or the overpressure in the cavity 50 is provided by pumping means, not shown.

Behind the base plate 40 of the separating jaw 28 is a second cavity 52nd intended. The second cavity 52 can also be put under negative pressure. This Underpressure can be accomplished by the same pumping means, including the Vacuum in the cavity 50 provide. With the help of negative pressure in the cavity 52 can be at the surface 54 of the base plate 40 of the Trennbacke 28 generate negative pressure by passing through holes 56 in the Base plate 40 of the separating jaw 28 air from the outside space in the cavity 52nd is sucked in.

Furthermore, Fig. 1 shows a schematically illustrated auxiliary table 58th Der Auxiliary table 58 runs parallel to the feed belt 2. On the auxiliary table 58 is a schematically shown cloth 60 movably mounted. The auxiliary table 58 leaves in the direction indicated by the arrow 62 in parallel to the direction in the Sheet stack 30 stacked sheet 4 method. Simultaneously with the procedure of Auxiliary table 58 in the direction of arrow 62 can be the cloth with opposite, in terms of magnitude, however, same speed in the direction of arrow 64 on the Auxiliary table 58 moved. The combination of auxiliary table 58 and cloth 60 can be thus move such that a point x on the cloth 60 during the process the auxiliary table 58 remains fixed in space. Other functions of the auxiliary table 58 will be with reference to the following figures.

Fig. 1 shows the ground state of the device 1 and the inventive Process. In this ground state is initially controlled by a not shown control device a predetermined number of sheets 4 to a Sheet stack 30 stacked on the pallet 12. This is done by a broken one Stream of sheet 4 by means of the feed belt 2 to the stacking point. 6 is promoted against the front end 8. At the same time the pallet 12 through Lowering means not shown lowered to the front edge 16 relative to Conveyor plane of the feed conveyor 2 to leave unchanged. Here are the Separating finger 26, the separating jaw 28 and the auxiliary table 58 in the in Fig. 1st positions shown. Both in the cavity 50 and in the cavity 52 There is neither a negative pressure nor an overpressure. In that shown in FIG. 1 Embodiment is also not in the cavity 24 of the front-end 8 Negative pressure generated.

Having been detected by a sensor or counting means, not shown, that a sufficient number of sheets on the sheet stack 30 at the stacking point 6 was stacked on the pallet 12, the separating finger 26 of the in Conveying direction of the feed conveyor 2 back side in the flow of zugeförderten Bow 4 pushed. The separating finger 26 thus limited as shown in FIG. 2 the finished first sheet stack 30 upwards and separates the subsequent sheet 4 of the finished first sheet stack 30. Immediately after the insertion of the release finger 26 between the finished first sheet stack 30 and the more subsequent Sheet 4, the separating finger 26 is parallel to the lowering of the pallet 12 (arrow 14), as indicated by the arrow 66, lowered. As by the different lengths the arrows 14 and 66 is further indicated, the lowering of the happens Trennfingers 26, however, slower than the lowering of the pallet 12. All the rest Components of the device 1 are compared to their state shown in Fig. 1 unchanged. Due to the faster lowering of the pallet 12 relative to the Lowering the separating finger 26 forms a gap 68 shown in FIG. 3 between the first sheet stack 30 and farther from the feed belt 2 nachgeförderten sheet 4, which arrive at the stacking point 6. In the gap thus formed 68 between the sheet stack 30 and the subsequent sheet 4 is the separating jaw 28 inserted. In this case, the separating jaw 28 arrives with its base plate 40 in contact with the back 70 of the now stacked new stack from sheet 4, the separation of the finger 26 against the sheet stack 30th were held back. The top 44 of the nose 42 passes with the Bottom 72 of the bottom of the sheet 4 above the separating finger 26 in contact. Simultaneously with the insertion of the separating jaw 28 in the gap 68 or Immediately thereafter, the separating finger 26 is pulled out of the gap 68, so that results in the state shown in FIG. 4. Simultaneously with the Inserting the separating jaw 28 in the gap 68, the separating jaw 28 is parallel to Lowering of the separating finger 26 according to the arrow 66 also lowered (see arrow 74). All other components of the device 1 are still in an unchanged Status.

Still during or immediately after pulling the separating finger 26 off the gap 68 is in both the cavity 50 and in the cavity 52 of the Separating jaw 28 generates a negative pressure. With the help of this negative pressure is through the openings 56 in the base plate 40 of the separating jaw 28 air in the cavity 52 sucked. By this suction of air through the openings 56 is at the surface 54 of the base plate 40 generates a negative pressure, which any still located between the bow air sucks and the back 70 of the new Stack 76 of nachgeförderten sheet 4 fixed to the base plate 40.

Due to the negative pressure in the cavity 50 of the separating jaw 28, air is through the Openings 46 in the wall 48 of the nose 42 of the release jaw 28 into the cavity 50 sucked the bottom 72 of the bottom sheet 4 of the new sheet stack 76 fixed to the surface 44 of the nose 42 on the separating jaw 28.

Simultaneously with the generation of negative pressures in the cavities 50 and 52 becomes also in the cavity 24 of the front-end 8 generates a negative pressure. Thus, will Air through the through holes 18 in the front 8 in the cavity 24th sucked. Thus arises at the front 20 of the front 8 in the area the through holes 18 also a negative pressure. With the help of this negative pressure Air is sucked between the sheet and in the conveying direction of the feed conveyor 2 front ends of the sheet 4 is pulled against the front end 8 and so sinking of the front ends 78 on the first sheet stack 30th prevented.

Simultaneously with the above-described fixing of the new stack 76 at the separating jaw 28 becomes the separating finger 26 together with the first sheet stack 30 on the pallet 12 down according to the arrow 14. Thus, the arrives Separating finger 26 first in the in Fig. 5 and then in the in Fig. 6 shown position below the level of the auxiliary table 58th

By the pallet 12 with a relative to the lowering speed of the separating jaw 28 higher lowering speed (Arrow 14) was lowered, the gap 68 between the new Stack 76 and the first sheet stack 30 further enlarged. In the now continue enlarged gap 68 is maintained with unchanged maintained suppression in the Cavities 50, 52 and 24 of the auxiliary table 58 in accordance with arrow 80 in drive. there especially the negative pressure in the cavity 24 ensures that the bottom 72nd of the lowermost sheet 4 of the new stack 76 not on the auxiliary table 58 and on the backwards running on the auxiliary table counter to the direction of movement 80 Cloth 60 drops. Should the bottom 72 still in contact with the cloth 60th come, is so by the amount with the same speed component as the auxiliary table 58 (arrow 80) backward movement of the cloth 60th (see arrow 64 in FIG. 1) a relative movement between the bottom 72 and the cloth 60 avoided. Thus, there can be no marks on the underside 72 of the sheet 4 through the cloth 60 come. A light and smooth glide of the cloth 60 on the auxiliary table 58 is ensured by an air film, the is produced by emerging from openings of the auxiliary table 58 Durckluft. The Blowing out the air from the auxiliary table 58 is indicated by the arrows 82. Finally, the auxiliary table 58 reaches the position shown in FIG. Simultaneously with the retraction of the auxiliary table 58 in the enlarged gap 68 the auxiliary table 58 according to arrow 84 is lowered parallel to the separating jaw 28, so that Furthermore, it is ensured that the upper edge 16 of the stacked sheet opposite the feed belt 2 remains unchanged.

Subsequently, the complete first sheet stack 30 together with the pallet 12th carried away. Simultaneously with the continuing continuous lowering the separating jaw 28 and the auxiliary table 58 to the upper edge 16 of the new Stack 76 to keep unchanged from the feed belt 2, a new Palette 86 brought from below to the auxiliary table 58. Previously, the Vacuum in the cavity 24 of the front-end 8 canceled to another Lowering the new stack 76 does not hinder. In the illustrated embodiment is shown in FIG. 8, the blowing out of air from the auxiliary table 58 to stopped this time. Alternatively, however, the purging of air from the Help table 58 continue until the auxiliary table 58 from the in Fig. 8 retracted position shown in its position shown in FIG. 9 has been. This retraction of the auxiliary table 58 runs according to the Pushing in the auxiliary table 58. Also when pulling out the auxiliary table 58, the cloth 60 is unwound on the auxiliary table 58, that no relative movement between the bottom 72 of the lowermost sheet 4 from the new stack 76th and the cloth 60 is formed.

Dies vermeidet Markierungen auf der Unterseite 72.Fig. 9 shows the next step, in which the new pallet 36 to that of the Help table 58 abandoned position shown in FIG. 8 is brought. It means that the distance between the bottom 72 of the lowermost sheet 4 from the new Stack 76 and the new pallet 86 is reduced to a minimum. simultaneously with the approach of the new pallet 86 to the new stack 76 is according to the arrow 88 in FIG. 9, the separating jaw 28 from the gap 68 between the new stack 76 and the new pallet 86 pulled out and the stack 76 on this filed, as shown in Fig. 10. To pull this out Release jaw 28 to facilitate the gap 68, according to the arrows 90 air through the openings 46 in the separating jaw 28 by generating an overpressure in the cavity 50 of the separating jaw 28 against the bottom 72 of the lowermost Arch 4 of the new stack 76 is blown. This way it comes to a As low as possible friction between the bottom 72 of the lowermost sheet 4 of the new stack 76 and the top 44 of the separating jaw 28. This avoids Markings on the bottom 72.

After the separating jaw 28 according to arrow 92 and the separating finger 26 as indicated by arrow 94 have been reduced to their basic positions shown in FIG. 1, begins a new cycle.
