Abstract

Es wird ein Verfahren zur Verformen von rohrförmigen Hohlkörpern aus Metall, insbesondere aus Aluminium beschrieben.
Nach Umformen eines plattenförmigen Halbzeugs zu einem geschlossenen Querschnittsprofil und Längsnahtschweißung der gegenüberliegenden Kanten des Halbzeugs wird der rohrförmige Hohlkörper in einer vorgeschalteten Bearbeitungsphase erst mechanisch partiell aufgeweitet und/oder mechanisch partiell reduziert. Dann wird er weichgeglüht und schließlich in einem Gesenk durch ein in den Hohlkörper eingeleitetes Medium hydroumgeformt.
