Description
The invention relates to a method for producing a coating of solvent-free pressure-sensitive adhesive systems on, in particular, release-coated substrates, wherein the process of coating passes over a roller.
From EP 0 622 127 B1 it is known that pressure-sensitive, solvent-free adhesive layers are placed on a substrate via a roller. The commissioned work is single or multichannel nozzles.
Caused by an applied differential speed between the coated roller and the decreasing substrate, the pre-dosed adhesive film is reduced in thickness, so that thin pressure-sensitive adhesive layers can be transferred to substrates.
A disadvantage of the known method that pressure-sensitive adhesive layers of untreated Smooth rollers can only be removed against non release coated substrates or the roller coated with the pressure-sensitive adhesive have a release effect which can be made via a fluorocarbon or Teflon layer. This release layer diminishes in the course of its lifetime and is sensitive to external influences such as wear, dirt and mechanical damage. Furthermore are release rollers made with fluorocarbon or teflon coatings Acrylate hot melt adhesives are insufficient in the case of machine downtime releasable, so that a robust process without tedious cleaning of the coated roller associated with downtime is not given.
Also known in the art is the anilox roller coating process with hot melt adhesives pre-metered via a nozzle.
However, the disadvantage of the anilox roll method is that, depending on the type of hot melt adhesive, when the adhesive layer is transferred to a substrate, the structure of the anilox roll surface on the adhesive film is indicated. Another disadvantage of the anilox roller coating method is that at higher coating speeds, complete emptying of the screen structures is not possible and thus uneven adhesive application can occur. Furthermore, it is also difficult to remove the adhesive film with release-coated substrates from structured roll surfaces.
- eine Auftragswalze, die an einer Aufgabeposition ihrer Mantelfläche, einen maschinenbreiten Streichfarben-Film empfängt und an einer Abgabeposition an die Faserstoffbahn abgibt;
- an applicator roll, which receives at a task position of its lateral surface, a machine-wide coating color film and emits at a dispensing position to the fibrous web;
- a nozzle applicator for forming and dispensing the coating color film, comprising a machine-width nozzle chamber and a downstream nozzle with two machine-width lips, one of which carries at its free end a metering blade which forms an exit gap for the coating film with the lateral surface of the roller
- has at least a second commissioned work, which is also assigned to the applicator roll and the first commissioned work upstream or downstream.
The coating of solvent-free pressure-sensitive adhesive systems in particular release coated substrates are not mentioned.
The object of the present invention is a process for producing a solvent-free Pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on in particular release-coated substrates for To provide that avoids the disadvantages of the prior art.
This problem is solved by a method as laid down in the main claim is. Advantageous embodiments of the method are the subject of the dependent claims.
Accordingly, the invention describes a method for producing a coating of solvent-free pressure-sensitive adhesive systems on in particular release-coated substrates, wherein
a fluid film is applied to a rotating roll by means of a fluid applicator,

the substrate is fed to the roller so that the pressure-sensitive adhesive system is transferred from the roller to the substrate (release coated and not release coated).
The leading of the substrate is done in particular via a second roller. When Substrates find papers, films, non-wovens and release coated materials such as Release papers, films and the like use.

80 shore (A).
The second roller, also referred to as the application roller, is preferably provided with a rubber coating and is preferably pressed against the roller with a line pressure of 50 to 500 N / mm, in particular 100 to 200 N / mm. The application roller preferably has a Shore hardness (A) of 40-100, in particular a Shore hardness of 60-80 shore (A).
The substrate is preferably fed to the roller so that the speed of the roller surface coincides with that of the substrate. However, if a reduction in thickness is desired with the decrease of the adhesive film, the substrate may also have a higher speed.

+/- 1 µm.
In a first advantageous embodiment, the roller is a steel roller, a chromium-plated steel roller, a rubber roller or a silicone rubber roller and / or the roller is made of elastic material. However, the coating roller can also be rubberized, preferably with a rubber hardness of 40 to 100 shore (A), in particular with a hardness of 60-80 shore (A). The roll cover can be made according to the prior art of EPDM, Viton or silicone rubber or other elastic materials.
Weiterhin als vorteilhaft hat sich erwiesen, wenn die Walze temperierbar ist, und zwar bevorzugt in einem Bereich von -10 °C bis 200 °C, ganz besonders bevorzugt von 2 °C bis 50 °C.Furthermore, it has proven to be advantageous if the roller is temperature-controlled, namely preferably in a range from -10 ° C to 200 ° C, most preferably from 2 ° C up to 50 ° C.
0 bis 60 mm betragen, insbesondere 1 bis 10 mm.The application of the pressure-sensitive adhesive system to the roller takes place, in particular, with the aid of a mono- or multichannel nozzle or a slot nozzle.
The fluid-loaded roller is preferably coated without contact with the adhesive film emerging from the nozzle. The distance of the nozzle to the roller may preferably be 0 to 60 mm, in particular 1 to 10 mm.
The fluid applicator should still be tempered to be in the adhesive formulation contained, adhesive-insensitive agents to temperatures with to bring desired fluid properties.
The fluid can be wiped or applied, but it is also possible that the fluid is placed without contact on the roller, for example by spraying.

Zum besseren Verständnis der Erfindung dienen folgende Beispiele: For a better understanding of the invention serve the following examples:

By means of a single-screw extruder (L / D: 27) an acrylate hot-melt adhesive, as described in DE 39 42 232 or DE 43 13 008, at a temperature of 90 ° C using a Monodüse (make Breyer), working width 350 mm, coated on a smooth roller. The fluid which wet the smooth roller was water. The temperature of the smooth roll was 20 ° C.
An adhesive film with a thickness of 20 g / m 2 was placed on the smooth roller and then removed from the roller with a corona-pretreated PET film (12 μm). The coating speed was 70 m / min. Subsequently, the uncovered adhesive side was laminated with a release paper. The amount of fluid present on the uncovered adhesive side was so small that subsequent lamination with release paper did not cause any damage to the free adhesive side.
The composite thus prepared was coated a second time on the free side of the film and rolled up.
The acrylate hot-melt adhesive mentioned in Example 1 was coated on a smooth roller under the conditions mentioned in Example 1 in a layer thickness of 130 g / m 2 . The decreasing substrate in this case was a silicone release paper with a release value of 5-25 cN / cm. The fluid present on the open adhesive side was dried by means of IR rays shortly before being rolled up.
The acrylate hot melt adhesive mentioned in Example 1 was removed under the conditions mentioned in Example 2 in a layer thickness of 50 g / m 2 against a release coated on both sides PETP film with a release value of 5-9 cN / cm and rolled up.
A natural rubber hot melt adhesive was used at a temperature of 120 ° C with the aid of Nozzle coated on the smooth roller. The fluid used was a water / alcohol mixture. The transfer took place on a creped paper which had been impregnated, equipped a primer and a release in an upstream operation has been.
With the help of a multi-channel nozzle was a three-layer, double-sided self-adhesive product structure extruded on a smooth roller. As pressure-sensitive hot-melt adhesive was used in Example 1 described type on the top and bottom of a rubber elastic middle layer carrier extruded using the multi-channel nozzle. This self-adhesive composite was on placed the smooth roller coated with water and against a release paper with release forces of 5 - 30 cN / cm transferred and rolled up.
