Definitions
- the invention relates to a screw insert for freehand guided electric screwdriver, one at one end Shank for insertion in and on his electric screwdriver at the other end a tapered section for insertion in a Phillips screw, the tapered section provided with drive webs is.
- the "cam-out effect” means the ejection forces on the with its shaft in the Retracted opening of the electric screwdriver and with its front tapered section into the Recess in the head of the screw engaging screw insert act.
- the "cam-out effect” affects this mentioned screwdriver - which is generally called a bit is called - so that the bit jerkily with the known sliding noise emerges from the head of the screw, where it also becomes the well known rattle is coming. This causes premature wear of bits on.
- a significant disadvantage of the known bits is that that the front tapered section of the bit of the Recess in the head of the screw is adapted very precisely, so the front section of the bit at the recess fits snugly in the screw head.
- the invention is based on the finding that it is Tighten or loosen screws using freehand Electric screwdriver is impossible, the axis of the bit permanently in line with the axis of the screw bring. To avoid the "cam-out effect" or at least the bit must be allowed to decrease become a wobbling motion without the front tapered section of the bit the recess leaves in the head of the screw.
- the drive being at least four engagement grooves at an angle to each other with external boundary surfaces and on the drive webs bit are formed, the working areas of the outer edges have, at least in the inserted state in some areas on the boundary surfaces of the engagement grooves could be a substantial reduction in the "Cam-out effects" can be achieved by using the outer edge at least one drive web on or below the top of the screw head ends or is interrupted (DE-196 22 846 A1). A total avoidance of the "cam-out effect" however, this was not possible.
- the invention has for its object a bit like this train that a sufficient wobble of the Bits in the recess in the head of the to be tightened or closed Loosening screw is guaranteed, so that it becomes a "Cam-out effect" can not come.
- a screw insert is used to solve the task for handheld electric screwdrivers, which on his one end a shaft for insertion in the electric screwdriver and at its other end a tapered one Section for insertion into a Phillips screw having the tapered portion is provided with drive bars on the back and / or projections provided individually on the flanks thereof are.
- the screw insert according to the invention ensures that its tapered front area always only with two of its provided on the drive bars Projections on the inner surfaces of the recess in the head of the Screw is present and around these two points of contact Can wobble.
- the projections are arranged individually standing there is a deposition of zinc abrasion in the area of Projections not possible, so that the mode of operation of the Screw insert according to the invention even after a long time Use of the screw insert is not impaired.
- screwdrivers on their Blades to provide projections. These protrusions are either on the surface of the screwdriver's blade (GB 2 063 743 A) or on the lower boundary surface the blade (U.S. Patent 4,026,338).
- screwdrivers are with screw inserts of the type according to the invention not comparable because they are not freehand Electric screwdrivers can be used.
- the screwdriver are used only for tightening or loosening Slotted screws; they are not suitable for screws tighten or loosen, in which a screw head cross-slot-like recess is present. Alone for this reason, the aforementioned screwdriver the screw insert according to the invention is not suggested become.
- the projections are on their facing the recess in the head of the screw Side delimited by a curved or spherical surface. This ensures that only one on the projections extremely low wear occurs.
- the height is at least that provided on the flanks of the drive webs Projections (4) not more than 0.1 mm.
- the distance of the surfaces from two - to the Flanks of the drive webs provided - opposite one another Projections approximately the size of the Phillips profile according to DIN / ISO for screwdrivers for screws with cross recess, it is also advantageous that the Distance of each protrusion, measured from the center of the protrusion, from the front boundary surface of the screw insert about a third to half the depth of the Recess in the head of the screw corresponds.
- the projections one have a triangular cross section expediently the triangular cross section of the protrusions through one isosceles triangle is formed because in this Fall the contact surface of the screw insert in the recess in the head of the screw is extremely low, which makes the wobbling movement of the screwdriver insert in one hands-free electric screwdriver is favored.
- the minimum distance each protrusion from the front boundary surface of the Screw insert the width of the projection.
- the screw insert according to the invention can finally can be improved by making the screw insert so is dimensioned so that the gap width between the outer Boundary surface of the screw insert and the inner Boundary surface of the recess in the head of the screw Corresponds to the height of the projections. This is one hand sufficient space for a wobble of the Screw insert in the recess in the head of the screw present, while on the other hand the flanks of the drive webs of the screw insert with a sufficient large area against the relevant inner boundary surfaces fit the recess.
- a particularly useful method for producing a Screw insert according to the invention is that the Forming the protrusions at the front end of the tapered front section of the screw insert Cold forming takes place. With such a manufacturing process is a correct design of the screw insert guaranteed.
- Another convenient method for producing a Screw insert according to the invention is that the Forming the protrusions at the front end of the tapered front section of the screw insert machining is carried out. This manufacturing process is more complex; but it results an edge formation on the protrusions, the better Hold the screw insert in the head of the screw.
- the screw insert 1 shown in FIG. 1 has one tapered front section 1.1 and a cylindrical Shaft 1.2.
- the tapered front Section 1.1 which is provided with drive webs 3, the screw insert 1 engages in the recess 2.1 in the head a screw 2, the drive webs 3 against corresponding Areas of the recess 2.1 in the head of the screw 2 concerns.
- On the back 3.1 and the flanks 3.2 of the Drive webs 3 are provided individually standing projections 4, the opposite the back 3.1 or the flanks 3.2 protrude the drive webs 3 with a height H.
- the projections 4th a round shape when viewed from above. However, you can choose any be designed differently; you can, for example, in the top view have an oval shape or straight Lines may be limited.
- the surfaces of two of the on the Flanks 3.2 of the drive webs 3 provided, opposite one another Protrusions 4 are spaced f apart on. From the front boundary surface 1.3 of the Screw insert 1, the projections 4 have a distance A. on .
- the screw insert 1 shown in Fig. 2 the also a tapered front section 1.1 and has a cylindrical shaft 1.2, are projections 4 'provided only on the back 3.1 of the drive webs 3.
- the projections 4 ' have an isosceles triangular shape Cross section on.
- the protrusions 4 ' have a width B 'and point from the front boundary surface 1.3 of the screw insert 1 a distance A ' on.
- the screw insert 1 is dimensioned so that the gap width S between the outer boundary surface of the screw insert 1 and the inner boundary surface of the recess 2.1 in the head of the screw 2 the height H 'of the projections 4' corresponds.
