  5. A facade or glass roof according to claim 2 or claim 3 characterised in that at at least one of its outside wall surfaces the insert element (3) is provided with perpendicularly projecting holding bars (8) connected at the edge side, for receiving a fire-protection element (2).
  6. A facade or glass roof according to claim 5 characterised in that provided at the free ends of the holding bars (8) are transverse bars (9) which embrace the fire-protection element (2).
  7. A facade or glass roof according to claim 1 characterised in that the insert element (3) is in the form of a U-shaped profile member.
  8. A facade or glass roof according to claim 7 characterised in that provided at the free ends of the limbs of the U-shaped profile are transverse bars (9) which embrace the fire-protection element (2).
  9.   11. A facade or glass roof according to one or more of claims 1 to 9 characterised in that the fire-protection element (2) comprises a heat-binding, hydrophilic adsorbent.
  12. A facade or glass roof according to claim 10 characterised in that the fire-protection element (2) has a high proportion of water, in particular in the form of water of crystallisation.
