Description

The present invention relates to a motor bogie for railway vehicle, as well as a railway vehicle provided at least one such bogie.

Usually, a motor bogie includes axles supported on the track rails and supporting a chassis, with the interposition of a so-called primary suspension. The body of the rail vehicle rests on the chassis of this bogie, with the interposition of a so-called secondary suspension.

Each motor bogie is provided with drive means of each axle, which include at least one motor and at least minus a reduction gear fitted with an axle drive wheel corresponding. Means are also provided for supporting the motors and reducers by the rail vehicle.

It is advantageous to support the mass of resources drive by a mechanical organ of the vehicle, which is arranged as suspended as possible. This helps reduce the forces exerted on the rails by the motor bogie and increases the speed of the rail vehicle. In this optic, it's better to support the masses motors and reducers through the body of the vehicle and, failing that, through the chassis of the bogie, the solution consisting in making these masses support by the axles being the most unfavorable.

In addition, the vehicle body, the bogie chassis and the axles are free to move relative to each other to others. However, the drive wheel of the reducer in front be integral with the axle, plus the motor and the reduction gear are suspended from high organs, the more complex the transmission between the suspended motor and this drive wheel attached to the axle.

It is therefore necessary to make a compromise between a suspension of these masses only by the axle, simple to implement but allowing only low speeds, and a suspension of the masses by the body, allowing high speeds but complex in technological terms.

A first solution is to suspend, at the cash register of the vehicle, a motor-reduction unit and to be installed on the axle an additional reducer, these two reducers being linked by means of a constant velocity joint. This solution, however, has drawbacks in this sense that it is necessary to use two separate reducers. In addition, the use of a constant velocity joint, particularly expensive, is the source of significant costs.

An alternative solution has been proposed. It consists to hang the reducer on the bogie chassis, at its end opposite the axle. Furthermore, the motor is fixed permanently on the chassis, the gear unit and the cooperating motor usually through a coupling to domed teeth.

This arrangement, although it is relatively advantageous in terms of costs, has other disadvantages. Indeed, the masses of the motor and the gear unit are supported not by the vehicle body but by the bogie chassis, so that the axles exert relatively large forces on rails. In addition, fix the motor permanently on the chassis induces the appearance of high mechanical forces exercising on the latter.

In order to overcome the various drawbacks of art mentioned above, the invention proposes to realize a motor bogie for a rail vehicle, in which the masses of the motors and the reducers are supported, in to a large extent, through the vehicle body, through a limited number of mechanical elements having simple structure and low costs.

To this end, it relates to a motor bogie for railway vehicle, intended to support a body of said vehicle, said driving bogie comprising axles resting on rails, a chassis resting on said axles and drive means of each axle comprising a motor, a reduction gear and transmission means between the engine and the reducer, means allowing the support of the means being driven by the vehicle, characterized in what said support means of the drive means include means for suspending the reducer, or engine, at the vehicle body, articulated with the reduction gear, or to the engine, as well as to the body, means of articulation of the engine to the bogie chassis around an axis substantially horizontal, as well as means for connecting the engine to reducer, articulated to both the motor and the reducer.

For this purpose, the housing 38 is secured to two arms 42, 44 articulated to yokes 46 with which the crosspiece 40 is provided. The first arm 42 extends longitudinally while the other arm 44 extends obliquely, it being understood that the arms 42, 44 can be parallel.

The rotational movement of the motor is transmitted to the wheel drive 24 via a coupling 48 with teeth curved, classic type.

The casing 26 is provided, at its end opposite to axle 6, with a flange 50 projecting both towards the up and towards the engine. The latter is provided, at his lower part, of a nose 52, which projects in the direction of the reducer and is directly above the flange 50. The flange 50 and the nose 52 are arranged on either side of the wheel drive 24. A connecting rod 54 is mounted with ball joint, by its two ends, respectively on the flange 50 and on the nose 52. It has a side view of a C shape and extends in the vicinity of the coupling 48, opposite to this with respect to the axle 6. This link allows the articulation of the motor to the reduction gear. Advantageously, the flange 50 and the nose 52 are arranged so as to be aligned with the axis of the drive wheel 24, a slight deviation alignment is however acceptable.

Cette timonerie est propre à coopérer avec des disques 58 solidaire de l'essieu 6, visibles sur la figure 4.As shown in Figure 2, the chassis 10 of the bogie 4 is provided, opposite the axle 6 with respect to the motor 36, that is to say at its front end, a tubular cross member 56 fitted with a wheelhouse not shown with disc brakes. This wheelhouse is suitable for cooperating with discs 58 integral with axle 6, visible in FIG. 4.

Furthermore, the moment exerted by the reducer on this projection 28 is substantially equal to the moment exerted by the motor 36 on this same projection. In other words, the product of the mass m of the reducer by the distance d separating the center of gravity g and the projection 28 seen from the side, is substantially equal to the product of the mass M of the motor by the distance of separating, side view, the projection 28 and the point of articulation of the motor to the reduction gear, namely the flange 50.

As further shown in Figure 4, the centers of gravity g , g 'are arranged, seen from above, on either side of the projection 28, so that the latter is disposed approximately at the barycenter of the system formed by the motor and the reducer.

In service, relative displacements in transverse and in curve, of the body with respect to the axle are compensated via the suspension rod 30, which is swivel mounted at both ends. Displacements axle relative to the bogie chassis are compensated on the one hand by means of the arms 42, 44, which have a slight transverse clearance, and on the other hand thanks to the connecting rod 54, which is pivotally mounted at both ends. The reduction gear 18 is linked in translation to axle 6 which receives it.

The first element 26 'extends only to the vicinity of axle 6 and wheel 20, while the second element 26 '', suspended by the rod 30, covers the wheels 22 and 24. In this way, it is possible to remove the first element 26 ', so as to disassemble the axle and its wheel 20, without interact on wheels 22 and 24, which remain suspended by the connecting rod 30.

In the embodiments described above, the reducer 18 is suspended from the vehicle body, the engine being articulated on the one hand to the chassis of the bogie and on the other hand to the reducer. It is also possible to suspend the engine at the body, via a similar rod to that 30 shown. The motor is, in this case, also articulated to the bogie chassis and the reduction gear is only suspended from the engine, without being directly suspended from the checkout.

The invention makes it possible to achieve the objectives previously mentioned. It allows you to hang vertically at the body a significant part of the engine and reducer. In this regard, it should be noted that, although the gearbox and motor are linked to the axle respectively and on the bogie chassis, they exert only weak constraints on these elements.

Furthermore, the invention involves a very low number of mechanical elements, since a single connecting rod allows the suspension of the reducer at the body, while another single link ensures the mutual articulation of the engine and of the reducer. These mechanical elements are robust, simple design and reduced costs.

The arrangement according to the invention generates little transverse movements between the reducer and the motor. This guarantees an optimal functioning of the coupling allowing the transmission between this motor and this reducer and allows to reduce the mass of these. Since the reduction gear is offset longitudinally with respect to the axle, it is possible to place brake discs on this axle, within the space thus freed.

Arrange the centers of gravity respectively of the engine and the reducer on both sides, in side view (figures 1 and 3), from the point of articulation of the suspension rod gearbox, or motor, to the body is advantageous. A such conformation indeed allows the moments exerted on this point of articulation by both the motor and the gearbox to compensate. With this in mind, it is particularly advantageous that these moments cancel each other out, when the products masses respectively of the reducer and the motor, by the length of the corresponding lever arms are equal.

The fact that the center of gravity of the reducer and engine are arranged, in top view (Figure 4), from and other from the point of articulation of the suspension rod to the reduction gear, or to the motor, is also advantageous. This gives excellent stability to the assembly formed by this motor and this reducer, insofar as this point of articulation is located approximately at the barycenter of this set.
