Definitions
- the invention relates to a card case for chip cards the genus of the independent claim.
- So-called chip cards are used as information carriers for example in the form of phone cards on which a telephone calls via public telephones Credit is saved, but also in the form of bank EC or Credit cards used to withdraw cash at an ATM is available or access authorization cards based on identification of a stored code a protected area with authorized access enable widespread.
- These include storage means for storing information, for example in the form one arranged in the chip card, over one on the Contact field arranged on the broad side of the chip card contactable microchips, one along the back their insertion direction arranged magnetic strip or an embossing.
- the location of the storage and contact means of the The chip card is relative to its outer limits Standards ISO 7810 to ISO 7816 defined.
- the storage means mentioned and means for retrieving the stored information are against pollution and mechanical damage, for example by Scratching, very sensitive. Pollution or Damage to these agents often no longer pulls perfect evaluation of the stored information after itself.
- the guide means within the card slot of the Card sleeves are advantageously in the form of Insertion opening 20 of the card sleeve beveled Rails trained. This makes it easier Insert the chip card into the card sleeve, as this Insert automatically into the card case in the direction of the is centered by the gap formed by the guide means.
- a very close management of the chip card in the area of Contact field by a corresponding, the contact field immediately adjacent arrangement of the guide means in the Card case causes in an advantageous manner, especially in If one does not, for example through long use more completely flat chip card, a relief of the bottom chips arranged in the contact field.
- the guide means are advantageously within the Card case arranged such that they fix the Chip card in a direction perpendicular to its surface mainly near the center of the smart card cause their longitudinal axis. This way the card Allow enough space outside of the guide means be so that even a curved card is unloaded stored and without much effort in the card case can be introduced or removed from this.
- a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention provides an arrangement of the guide means such that this regardless of the position in which the chip card in the Card slot was introduced mechanically with the memory and / or Do not come into contact with evaluation equipment.
- the guide means are advantageously within the Card sleeve designed such that it is essentially the solder on the broad side of the chip card forming direction exert a clamping force on the chip card. In this way is a chip card inserted into the card case effective against slipping out of the card sleeve and thus secured against loss.
- An alternative form of leadership means in the form of at least one rotatably mounted roller enables one even better protection of the card surface outside the storage and / or evaluation means.
- Such cards are hereinafter referred to as chip cards understood the means for storing and / or evaluating stored on or processed by the card Show information, not just cards that actually have a microchip.
- the card sleeve 10 has a card slot 11 for receiving a chip card 1 with an insertion opening 20 for Insert a smart card on and is along and in Insertion direction of the chip card from side walls 12 and one Rear wall 13 limited.
- the card case has 11 in in its card slot Seen the direction of insertion, upper and lower guide means 16 and 17 on the rear wall 13 of the card slot start and parallel to the direction of insertion and Side walls through the interior of the card slot run.
- the side walls 12 of the card slot form for the chip card edges 5 additional guide means for guidance the chip card 1 along the direction of insertion.
- FIG. 1 c shows a cross section through the card sleeve 10 with chip card 1 and the upper and lower guide means 16 and 17. These are related to the chip card surface 6 is not mirror symmetrical, but partially staggered. The in the gap 18 is inserted between the guide means chip card 1 fixed in position by the guide means.
- Upper and lower guide means 16 and 17 are in the Card slot 11 of the card sleeve 10 arranged such that the touch, pollution and / or damage-sensitive storage and / or evaluation means 2, 3, 4 of the chip card 1 when it is inserted into the Card slot 11 of the card case 10 of the chip card 1 of the Guide means 16, 17 are not touched. This applies to all possible positions of the chip card relative to the card sleeve, regardless of whether, for example, the contacts 4 of the Microchips in the insertion direction at the front or back, above or below, or magnetic stripe 3 or embossing 2 left or right, up or down.
- the lower guide means 17 are also in shape three, for example on a lower manhole cover 15 molded, guide rails 171, 172 and 173 executed, the first and third guide rails 171 and 173 the lower guide means the guide rails 161 and 163 are positioned opposite the upper guide means.
- the second lower guide rail 172 is opposite the third lower guide rail 173 by the width of the Contact field 4 of the chip card spaced apart.
- the width of the guide rails is in the range of a few Tenths of a millimeter to one millimeter.
- the exact one The width of the guide rails is advantageously determined according to the accuracy of the guidance of the chip card 1 through the Side walls 12 of the card slot 11. A small one Precision by not exactly the width of the Chip card matched distance of the side walls 12 is by correspondingly narrower guide rails 161 to 163 and 171 to 173 balanced.
- the Storage and / or contact means 2, 3, 4 of the chip card 1 the chosen arrangement of the guide means 16 and 17 neither while inserting the chip hard into the card case, while still being fixed in the card sleeve with the Guide means in contact, provided the chip card with the Contact fields 4 in the insertion direction at the front or with the Embossing field 2 or the magnetic strip 3 in the direction of insertion top left or bottom right into the card case 10 is introduced.
- the length is Guide means 16 and 17 dimensioned such that this one in Card slot 11 located chip card 1 not over the entire length, but only up to one, for example Third in the rear part, that is to say the rear wall 13 of the card slot 11 lead or hold. So that will achieved that even if the chip card 1 with the Contact field 4 in the insertion direction behind or with the Embossing field 2 or the magnetic stripe 3 at the top right or left is inserted into the card sleeve 10 below Contact areas 4 not through the upper or lower Guide means 16 or 17 are touched.
- the length of the Guide means 16 and 17 is in relation to one avoiding touching the storage and / or evaluation means through the guide means through the location and extent of the Contact field 4 limited on the chip card surface 6.
- the selected arrangement of the guide means 16 and 17 guaranteed when inserted into the card sleeve 10 Chip card whose stabilization in the area under the Contact field 4 arranged microchips and thus its Discharge. Furthermore, the chosen arrangement ensures Dimensioning of the guide means 16 and 17 largely effortless insertion and removal of one around your Longitudinal and / or transverse axis bent chip card 1, as well their largely tension-free storage in the card sleeve 10, since the chip card 1 only in a partial area of its area is held or guided and to accommodate bent parts the chip card shown in dashed lines in the figures and provided with the reference number 8, enough space remains.
- the height of the through the upper and lower guide means 16 and 17 formed gap for receiving the chip card 1 preferably dimensioned such that they are slightly smaller than the thickness of the chip card, so that the chip card in fully introduced condition between upper and lower Guide means 16 and 17 in the sense of an interference fit is held.
- the contact forces perpendicular to the upper and lower chip card surface are characterized by the composite Sidewalls 12 and top and bottom Card slot cover 14 and 15, which are preferably made of one exist elastic material, applied.
- the upper and lower guide means 16 and 17 instruct their the insertion opening 20 of the card slot facing ends are advantageously rounded or upper and lower manhole covers 14 and 15 extending Bevels so that the gap 18 for receiving the Chip card 1 is expanded towards the insertion opening 20. This widening of the gap causes when the Chip card 1 in the card slot 11 whose automatic Centering on the gap 18.
- Card sleeve 10 are the upper and lower guide means 16 and 17 instead of the guide rails 161 to 163 and 171 to 173 in whole or in part in the form of rolls 164, 165, 166 and 174, 175, 176.
- the Rollers are advantageously on the side walls 12 or the manhole covers 14 and 15 rotatable by one Card surface 6 parallel and to the direction of insertion vertical axis mounted.
- the storage is further advantageously carried out such that the by Roll surfaces formed gap 18 for receiving a Chip card 1 a slightly smaller height than the thickness the chip card, so that when the chip card is inserted the rollers are pressed on their surface.
- rollers instead of the guide rails of the first embodiment causes compared to the solution of first embodiment less wear Card surface 6 when inserting or removing the Chip card from the card sleeve 10, since no sliding but just a rolling friction between the map surface and Guide means 16 and 17 occurs.
- the exemplary embodiments are the rollers 164 to 166 and 174 to 176 frictionally with the card surface 6 one in the Card sleeve 10 inserted chip card connected.
- a The chip card is inserted into the card sleeve against the relatively low rolling resistance of the rollers, which is mainly from their storage and rolling friction between card surface 6 and the roll surface.
- the chip card is removed from the card sleeve 10 in contrast, against you by the reels on the card transferred increased resistance, which is why on the roles Braking torque is impressed.
- both the first and also of the second embodiment can also lateral guides of the chip card in the card slot instead all or part of the side walls 12 of the card slot Form of rolls that are perpendicular to an axis Card surface 6 and perpendicular to the direction of insertion Chip card are rotatably mounted. Also lets the braking torque is also via the lateral guide rollers transferred to the chip card.
- both the card cover of the first and that of the second Embodiment at its insertion opening 20 in the upper and / or the lower manhole cover 14, 15 one for Insertion opening open recess 19 on which access on a chip card inserted into the card sleeve 10 enables.
- the Recess semicircular and advantageously in the middle between the side walls 12 of the Card sleeve arranged. The selected dimensioning of the Recess 19 and their arrangement allow access on a chip card 1 inserted into the card sleeve 10 without Touching the touch and / or contamination-sensitive memory and / or Evaluation means 2, 3, 4.
