Description

The present invention relates to a game of the genre table football.

We know different games of this type but these do not allow to move the pawns simulating players across the playing surface.

One of the aims of the present invention is to make a game in which the pawns can move all over the playing surface to imitate the game as it is practiced on a ground.

The game according to the invention is of the type including a playing surface, pawns imitating the players and a ball simulating a ball, and is characterized by what he understands, along the table, on each of two opposite sides, a series of control levers, each lever corresponding to the movement of a player, each player being connected to a cart comprising two motors, each, a wheel and a set electronic receiver, while each control lever is inserted on a transmitter assembly to control selectively supplying one or other of the motors one way or the other.

According to a constructive characteristic, the table has two parallel trays, a tray upper and lower tray between which are arranged the carriages, suitably guided between said trays and having, at their upper part, a magnet permanent, while each player has a base in which a corresponding permanent magnet is inserted. So the game has no visible mechanical parts.

In order not to form any brake both on the surface of the game for the player than for the cart, the magnets carriage and player base are securely attached a slight space is provided between the two faces of the corresponding upper plate.

According to a constructive detail, the plateau upper has an upper surface consisting of a carpet, frame, insulation and surface conductive.

According to a constructive characteristic, the lower plate has a conductive upper surface, insulation and a frame.

Preferably, each carriage has insulating balls cooperating with the underside of the upper plate and insulating balls cooperating with the upper face of the lower plate. So the carts can move in all directions between trays.

Preferably, each carriage has wipers cooperating with the conductive surface of the plate upper and wipers cooperating with the conductive surface of the lower plate. So we realize in a way simple supply of the various circuits carried by the carts.

According to yet another characteristic, each lever is connected to a transmitting microcontroller allowing a network manager microcontroller to communicate with said transmitting microcontrollers messages related to the position of the joysticks to transmit these commands to a modem associating by the technique of carrier currents, messages to the module supply trolley receivers, including a modem receiver upstream of a message receiving microcontroller and in which the motors associated with bridges are inserted from Darlington.

Finally, according to a last characteristic, the levers control two potentiometers whose voltages present on the analog port define for one three zones, an intermediate rest zone, between a forward and reverse areas, while that the other defines three zones, an intermediate rest zone, between a right pivot area and a pivot area to the left, the generation of these voltages being simulated by two comparators so that analog voltage compared to a reference voltage high and at a low reference voltage, the value output of these comparators being bits that determine the direction of rotation of the motors.

The invention will now be described with more details with reference to an embodiment particular given by way of example only and shown to the accompanying drawings, in which:

Figure 3 is a plan view from above of a cart.

Figure 4 is a view of a diagram showing the receiving system.

Figure 5 est un schéma de principe général.Figure 5 is a general block diagram.

Figure 6 shows the control diagram from control levers.

The game, shown in the figures, includes a table 1 on which a number can evolve of players 2 and on each side a series of organs of control 3, each control member 3 comprising a lever automatically returned to a neutral position in which it is not effective and a position tilted forward controlling movement in a direction of player 2, and, flipped in the opposite direction, moving in an opposite direction, positions intermediaries allowing the player to pivot towards right and left.

The table includes an upper plate 4 and a lower plate 6, these plates being strictly parallel, the plate 4 having an upper surface 7 constituted, for example, by a tear-resistant mat on which can, on the one hand, move the players and, on the other hand, a ball 11, a frame 8 having to resist thermal and mechanical constraints, an insulator 9 and a conductive surface 10 formed, for example, of metallized carbon strips or a conductive mesh in copper.

The lower plate 6 is formed of a framework 12 on which rest, on the one hand, an insulator 13 and, on the other hand, a conductive surface 14 of the same type than the surface 10.

Each player is erected from a base 16 designed to slide freely on the upper surface 7, under the lower surface of the base being fixed a magnet permanent 17, the latter being mounted so as to be very slightly away from the upper surface 7.

Between the two plates 4 and 6 are housed carts 20, each cart corresponding to a player.

Chaque chariot 20 comprend un compartiment inférieur 21 et un compartiment supérieur 22.Each carriage 20 includes a compartment lower 21 and an upper compartment 22.

In compartment 21 are housed two motors 22 and 23 direct current, the output shaft 24 of the motor 22 driving through a reduction system 25 a wheel 26 rolling on the plate 6, while the shaft output 29 of motor 23, by a reduction system 27, drives a wheel 28.

The diagram in Figure 4 shows the system motors 22 and 23.

The controls have two potentiometers whose lever drives a cursor (see figure 6).

The voltages present on the analog port, during the lever excursion, define three zones, an intermediate rest area, between a walking area forward and a reverse area.

On the second potentiometer, we also define three zones, a rest zone between a zone of swivel on the right and a swivel area on left.

We simulate the generation of these voltages by the use of two comparators. Analog voltage is thus compared simultaneously to a reference voltage high, VrefH and at a low reference voltage VrefB.

The output values of these comparators are the bits that determine the direction of rotation of engines. In fact two relays 32 and 33 define, by the position of their contacts, this direction of rotation.

Ces relais commandent la mise en marche des moteurs à courant continu 22 et 23 logés dans le compartiment 21.These relays control the switching on of the DC motors 22 and 23 housed in the compartment 21.

Lever 3 is connected to a microcontroller Transmitting PIC 58. The parallel inputs receive the 4 motor rotation bits; two converter inputs analog digital, integrated in the microcontroller, receive the two analog signals from the two potentiometers.

The carriage 20 is supported by balls 35 which cooperate with the lower surface of the tray 4 and balls 36 which bear against the upper surface of the plate 6 so that said carriage can move without constraint in all directions. The marbles 35 and 36 are made of insulating plastic.

In compartment 22 are arranged, stacked, electronic cards 40 linked together by connection bars 41. These cards are powered by electrical leads from a power supply stabilized.

The conductive surface 10 of the upper plate 4 is powered by a stabilized power supply now a voltage of 12 V, the carriage 20 supporting wipers 44 which cooperate with said conductive surface, while that the voltage at the conductive surface 14 is 0 V, the wipers 44 collect the supply current which irrigates all 40 cards by conductors corresponding, the current being restored to the surface conductive 14 by wipers 45.

Figure 5 shows a general diagram of principle.

Each control lever 2 is housed in a box 50 which contains the transmission electronics. The order can be proportional or discreet.

As seen in the diagram in the figure 5, each lever 3 is associated with a transmitting microcontroller 58 preferably connected to a BUS I 2C line (manufacturing Philips) or any other compatible computer network PC, microcontrollers network managers 60 allowing transmit commands to 66 modems carriages 20 which include receiving microcontrollers 62, these assemblies being supplied from power supplies 61.

Each transmitting microcontroller 58 sends orders depending on the position of the lever 3 towards the carriage 20 which contains the receiver. We use parallel ports of PIC 55 microcontrollers with architecture RISC (see figure 4) for the creation of a small network room allowing a microcontroller manager to network 60 to communicate with PIC microcontrollers transmitters of command messages linked to the position levers 3 and finally transmit these commands to a modem 56.

At the output of a converter, the voltage is coded on 4 bits.

The sending PIC will establish contact with a network manager who will designate the receiver he wants to reach and send him the commands he want to send to this receiver.

A BUS I 2C line is used (see Figure 5) (Philips manufacturing) or any other computer network PC compatible, which allows bidirectional dialogue by two sons only. It is a BUS in serial mode. The transmitting microcontrollers 58 having no serial link, we play this role to an input line and a parallel output line, using the timer as transmission clock. We can reach as well speeds of 9600 baud. Messages are sent with redundancy or repetition and error control. This precaution is necessary given the choice of feeding mode receptors, the high probability of interference linked to the system of wipers collecting the current power, and the rotation of small motors.

We can thus connect different elements on the BUS, just connect each output in parallel on two sons.

A protocol allows the sharing of communication in good conditions.

Supply voltage for all components must be the same. The outputs are to collector open (or open drain for CMOS circuits), the resulting level on the line is then an AND function of all connected outputs.

DID signals (data and address signals) and SCL (clock signals) to be 1, if all outputs are at 1.

The signals are read continuously without risk of interfering with the level of the line.

After acknowledging the transmission request a transmitting microcontroller 58, the network manager 60 will look in its memory for the address of the receiver sought, associates it with the motor rotation commands and rotational speed, and records everything.

For 100% of the time, it stores such information sent by network elements that it control.

For 50% of the time it sends these records to receivers via a modulator modem 56. The timing of this serial transmission is faster than serial communications on the network. Digital information is carried by food over the entire table surface. To optimize the current path, the power supply is oversized.

The modulation used is either ASK (in amplitude, if the NE5050 is chosen) or FSK (in frequency).

Preferably, the carriage 20 is made of aluminum and has, on its side surface, a layer of foam elastic 65 to absorb shocks between the carriages.

At reception, modem 56, in receiving position, demodulates the received signal. The data being fragile because all it takes is a parasite to distort the message, the modem is able to do abstraction of noise and parasites emanating from food. The digital message is then analyzed by the associated PIC microcontroller. The received address is compared with the proper address of the receiving receiver, this address is unique. The message is received several times and is subject to error checking.

If all of these checks are successful, the microcontroller 55 processes commands, affecting them which have power outputs controlling relays, which when generating a square signal simulating a command PWM.

Overall, we actually have two independent networks transmitters, one for each team, each with their network manager and a modem in transmission.

We can provide a special bidirectional line between the two managers driving the work-study program emission stop orders for 50% of the time.

Communication is therefore shared fairly between the two teams. Within each team, management of communication is independent.

Map 40 contains Darlington bridges, or any other variable speed circuit, which allow manage the speed of motors 22 and 23. This card contains, in addition, the relays controlling the start-up motors.

Thus, by acting on a lever 3, we control the movement of a player 2 in all directions, either slow or fast forward, slow or fast backward, pivot To the right or to the left. The base 16 is preferably octagonal, it allows better control of the ball 11 and fast forward command simulates the move foot in the ball.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment which has just been described and shown. We can make many modifications detail without departing from the scope of the invention.
