Insbesondere eignet sich diese Ausgestaltung für Schließanlagen, bei denen die Profilierungen des Schlüsselrohlings mittels Vertiefungen erzeugt werden, welche von nicht abgefederten Ergänzungszuhaltungsstiften abgetastet werden. Im Gegensatz zu bekannten Lösungen können die Ergänzungszuhaltungsstifte beispielsweise durch Fräsen einer Nut im Schlüsselrohling nicht außer Wirkung gesetzt werden, welche Nut tiefer ist als die tiefste Ergänzungszuhaltungs-Vertiefung. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, daß die den Zuhaltungsstiften zugeordneten Vertiefungen in einer Längsnut des Schlüssels liegen, deren Nutwände einen Abstand voneinander haben, der dem Durchmesser des Ergänzungszuhaltungsstiftes entspricht und welche Längsnut sich stetig über die gesamte Schlüssellänge erstreckt. Wird eine Längsnut geringerer Breite vorgesehen, läßt sich der Schlüssel nicht einführen. Auch bringt die Abstimmung der Breite der Längsnut in Verbindung mit dem Durchmesser der Ergänzungszuhaltungsstifte Vorteile im Hinblick auf die von beiden Schlüsselbreitseiten ausgehenden Vertiefungen, um den Effekt zu erhalten, daß die Ebene den Zylinderabschnitt der Zuhaltungsstifte schneidet. Weiterhin ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß der Durchmesser des zylinderförmigen Abschnittes des Ergänzungszuhaltungsstiftes größer ist als der Durchmesser des zylindrischen Abschnittes des Zuhaltungsstiftes. Auf diese Weise werden günstige Voraussetzungen geschaffen, daß die Ebene den Zylinderabschnitt schneiden kann. Um das Einschieben des Schlüssels in den Schlüsselkanal ermöglichen zu können, sind die Zuhaltungsstifte in der Schlüsselabzugsstellung mittels eines sich an den zylindrischen Abschnitt anschließenden Ringbundes gegen einen zylindergehäuseseitigen Anschlag gehalten. Es liegt dabei eine solche Anschlagstellung vor, daß die Spitzen der Zuhaltungsstifte in der Regel nicht die gegenüberliegende Schlüsselkanalwand berühren können, so daß sie günstig im Wirkungsbereich einer an der Schlüsselspitze vorgesehenen Auflaufschräge liegen. Gemäß der Erfindung bietet es sich an, den Schlüssel als Wendeflachschlüssel auszugestalten. Dessen Dicke entspricht günstigerweise dem Durchmesser der Ergänzungszuhaltungsstifte. Diese Vertiefungen 12, 13 dienen zum Einordnen von reihenförmig hintereinanderliegenden Zuhaltungsstiften 14 und Ergänzungszuhaltungsstiften 15. Bezüglich der Zuhaltungsstifte 14 handelt es sich um Kernstifte, die in Stiftbohrungen 16 des Zylinderkernes 8 geführt sind. Mit den Stiftbohrungen 16 des Zylinderkernes 8 fluchten Stiftbohrungen 17 im Zylindergehäuse 2. In den Stiftbohrungen 17 sind Gehäusestifte 18 geführt, welche von Stiftfedern 19 in Richtung der Zuhaltungsstifte 14 beaufschlagt sind. Die Zuhaltungsstifte 14 mit den Gehäusestiften 18 erstrecken sich bei abgezogenem Schlüssel 10 in der Längsmittelebene des Schließzylinders.
