Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a matchable Attenuator, consisting of a planar line with Damping material applied to the side of the line.
Such a planar attenuator is from H. Geschwinde, W. Krank: Strip Lines, C. F. Wintersche Publishing house, 1960, pages 66 - 68 known. The Attenuation material of this known attenuator is made from an applied on the substrate next to the line Resistance layer. This publication does not work shows that and by what means a subsequent Change in damping can be made.
The invention has for its object a matchable Attenuator of the type mentioned specify that with as little effort as possible and simple Can be adjusted to a desired damping value. A good one should be used across the entire adjustment range Adaptation is retained.
In
This object is achieved with the features of
The damping material layer is advantageously also Trimmed with the help of a laser to such a width that sets a desired damping.
In order to maximize the operating bandwidth of the To achieve attenuator, it is useful to both Ends of the λ / 2 long damping material layer one each Section with a length of about λ / 4 of the damping material connect, the width of the λ / 4 long sections compared to the λ / 2 long part of the damping material layer is reduced.
Ausgang. The attenuator shown in Figure 1 consists of
a
The through loss of
In the embodiment shown in Figure 1 is
the width w of the reduced line section and
also the width b of the adjacent λ / 2 long
In beiden
Fällen bleibt die Anpassung bei beliebigem Dämpfungsabgleich
besser als 15 dB.With the one-stage shown in Figure 1
