Abstract
Description
The subject of the present invention is a tile intended to be arranged at the lower edge of a roof, and to be mounted so alternated with main tiles comprising a horn extended along from one of its edges by a plate whose front edge, intended to be turned on the lower side of the roof is set back from the edge cornet correspondent. It follows from this tile structure that the fall of water, directly on the ground or in a gutter is not linear, account given the gaps existing between the front edge of the horn and the edge front of each tile's board. If the roof is equipped with gutters water recovery, it is advisable, taking into account this difference, to oversize the gutter (s). When there is no gutter but simply a gutter on the ground, the water curtain is not straight, and punctually brings the wall to the right of the front edges of the trays.
The object of the invention is to provide a tile intended to be arranged at the lower edge of a roof, and to be mounted so alternated with main tiles of the aforementioned type, to allow the realignment of the waterfall line.
For this purpose, the tile which it concerns, includes a part in cone shape and a tray-shaped part, intended to be placed under the horn and the tray of a main tile respectively, the edge front of the tray being aligned with that of the horn, the tray comprising two surfaces, a lower surface located on the front side arranged lower than an upper surface substantially parallel to the front edge of the tile and located at a distance from the edge substantially equal to the distance between the front edges of the horn and the tray of a main tile, this offset being equal to the thickness of a rib formed under the tray and near the front edge of a main tile, at least one tenon protruding from the underside of the tray to achieve hanging the tile on a batten.
The tiles according to the invention are mounted on the lower border of a roof, and are covered by the main tiles. Insofar as the front edge of a tile according to the invention is in alignment with the edge before the horn, the waterfall line is straight, since the surface bottom of each plate of a tile according to the invention, arranged under a main tile tray, and extending this tray to the front, ensures realignment of the waterfall line. In addition, the tile according to the invention gives the main tile arranged above the same tilt to the other main tiles in the upper rows of the roof, avoiding having to double the battens at the level of the row lower of tiles, as is usually the case.
Suivant une caractéristique de l'invention le cornet ne s'étend que dans la partie avant de la tuile, la surface supérieure du plateau s'étend en arrière du cornet sur sensiblement la moitié de la largeur de celui-ci, et une paroi transversale obture le fond du cornet dans la zone de celui-ci prolongée par la surface supérieure du plateauAccording to a characteristic of the invention the horn does not extend that in the front part of the tile, the upper surface of the tray extends behind the horn over substantially half the width of this one, and a transverse wall closes the bottom of the horn in the area of this extended by the upper surface of the plate
The transverse wall allows in particular to avoid the passage birds or rodents to the inside of the roof.
In addition, the transverse wall and the attachment stud (s) are located substantially in the same plane parallel to the front edge of the tile.
This arrangement allows the transverse partition to be in the extension of a batten and ensuring continuity at the roof closure.
According to another characteristic, this tile comprises, in the extension of the offset between the two surfaces of the plate, a back intended to partially overlap the transverse wall of a tile neighbor to ensure continuity and tightness.
Advantageously, the cornet area, located on the side opposite the tray and back has a two-part recess, adjacent to the transverse wall, to allow passage with overlapping the edge of an adjacent tile and the edge of a tile main.
In order to achieve a good seal of the assembly of several tiles, the lower surface of the tray has, on its edge located on the side opposite the horn, a longitudinal rib.
According to another characteristic intended to provide aid to the conditioning, and to promote the stability of the tile while providing a mechanical reinforcement, the upper surface of the plate comprises, on its edge located on the side of the horn, a longitudinal rib.
Finally, the tray has a groove on its underside and along its front edge. This groove acts as a drop of water.
liteau 11.The tile according to the invention shown in Figures 1 to 4
includes a
As shown in the drawing, the

toiture. The tile according to the invention comprises, in the extension of the
offset 6, a

d'eau. As shown in Figure 2, the tray has a
As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the tiles according to the invention
form the lower edge of the roof, and are covered at this level by
the main tiles. The front edges of the horns respectively 7 of a
It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the single form
of execution of this tile, described above by way of example, it
on the contrary embraces all variants. This is how the
