Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Flammenüberwachungssystem sowie ein Verfahren zur Überwachung einer Flamme mit einem Flammensensor (1), der die von der Flamme ausgehende Strahlung in ein Flammensignal (U1) umwandelt und einem Flammensignalverstärker (40), der das Flammensignal (U1) in ein Ausgangssignal (U5) umwandelt. Eine frequenzselektive Anordnung (6, 17, 18, 19) detektiert das Vorhandensein von periodischen Signalen im Flammensignal (U1) und aktiviert den Flammensignalverstärker (40), wenn ein nichtperiodisches Flammensignal (U1) vorliegt und deaktiviert den Flammensignalverstärker (40), wenn ein Flammensignal (U1) mit periodischen Signalen oder kein Flammensignal (U1) oder ein Testsignal (T) vorliegt. Die frequenzselektive Anordnung (6, 17, 18, 19) weist dabei einen Frequenzdetektor (18) auf, der das Vorhandensein nichtperiodischer Flammensignale (U1) detektiert und über Schaltmittel (6, 17, 19) den Flammensignalverstärker (40) entsprechend aktiviert oder deaktiviert. Der Frequenzdetektor (18) integriert das Flammensignal (U1) beispielsweise über definierte Perioden hinweg oder bezogen auf einen Referenzwert, so dass periodische Signale durch einen definierten Wert detektiert werden und dementsprechend der Flammensignalverstärker (40) gesteuert wird.
