Definitions
- the present invention relates to a connector with a plug connection couplable and electrically contactable plug socket according to the preamble of Claim 1 and a method for producing such a socket.
- a generic connector is known for example from US-A-5,033,982, wherein this socket is designed in one piece and made from a stamped part.
- the Plug socket has contact areas in the form of lamellae, which are in The longitudinal direction of the socket extends parallel to the longitudinal axis and is bent in such a way that there is a hyperbolic form. Such an arrangement of the contact areas has however, with the consequence that not always a satisfactory electrical contact between the corresponding plug part and the contact areas of the plug socket is guaranteed.
- this known plug socket essentially has one cylindrical socket body 22, which is comparatively thin-walled and hollow inside is.
- a plurality of contact wires 23 are arranged inside the socket body 22 these contact wires 23 with respect to the longitudinal axis of the socket Tilt angles are arranged so that they one inside the socket body 22 Limit the shape of a body having a hyperboloid so that the contact wires 23 hyperbolic designed and arranged contact areas for a plug socket, i.e. in the interior of the socket body 22, form the plug part to be inserted.
- the plug part has in particular a contact pin, the outer shape of which is complementary the socket body 22 is formed.
- the contact wires 23 inserted into the socket body 22 are preferably made of bronze manufactured.
- the protruding beyond the lateral boundaries of the socket body 22 Ends of the contact wires 23 are bent as shown in Fig. 3 so that they Grip end areas of the socket body 22, whereby the contact wires 23 within of the socket body 22 are attached.
- HYPCON plug connections can be used wherever extremely high Contact security is required, such as in computer-controlled devices.
- a such connector with a diameter of 0.76mm current with a current up to 6A.
- higher currents up to 150A can be transmitted.
- Fig. 3 is required for such a connector Plug socket is relatively complicated and can therefore only be manufactured with great effort become.
- this connector consists of a variety of items must first be put together. So in a first step, several Contact wires 23 in the socket body 22 with a certain angle of inclination i.e. Be used obliquely, with respect to the longitudinal axis of the socket body 22, so that this Contact wires 23 delimit the hyperbolic body. Then the Side ends of the contact wires 23 are bent as shown in Fig. 3, so that the Grip around the end areas of the socket body 22. Finally the Socket body 22 with the contact wires 23 inserted therein in two halves 20 and 21 an outer housing used, these outer halves 20 and 21 for example be connected to each other.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object of a plug socket can be produced in a simple manner and in particular cheaply, quickly and fully automatically is and has very good contact properties, and a method for producing a to provide such a socket.
- Fig. 1 shows a plan view of a punching tape 14, which in particular from a electrically conductive material, e.g. a bimetal. From the stamping tape 14, a manufacturing part 15 is punched out, from which the socket shown in Fig. 2 manufactured, i.e. in particular is bent.
- a punching tape 14 which in particular from a electrically conductive material, e.g. a bimetal. From the stamping tape 14, a manufacturing part 15 is punched out, from which the socket shown in Fig. 2 manufactured, i.e. in particular is bent.
- the stamped part 15 has - as an essential component - a lamella area 13, which will serve as the active contact area in the later connector.
- the Lamella area 13 has a plurality of substantially parallel and equidistant extending elongated lamellae 7, the corresponding by punching Intermediate areas 16 remain. Adjacent to these slats 7 are several Tongues 5 punched out, in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 in particular there are four tongues, the width of which is identical and the equidistant are arranged.
- the tongues 5 form a stabilization area 12, which in the later made from it socket to stabilize the actual contact section serves.
- the stamped part has a plurality of tabs 8, 9 and 10, the tab pairs 8 and 9 serving as contact area 11 for electrical contacting of a conductor to be connected to the plug socket.
- the length of the tabs 8 and 9 is different, so that different conductor diameters in the form of a crimp connection can be contacted with the tab pairs 8 and 9. For example, a conductor diameter of 1.5 to 2.5 mm 2 can be contacted with the tabs 8 and a conductor diameter between 4.0 and 6.0 mm 2 can be contacted with the tabs 9.
- the further pair of tabs 10 is provided for fixing the electrical conductor to be connected to the plug socket, these tabs 10 also being bent in the sense of crimping and in this way being able to grip around and fix the insulation jacket of the electrical line.
- the tabs 10 thus also serve as strain relief.
- the tabs 10 are advantageously configured wider than the contact tabs 8 and 9.
- Transition area 2 Between the lamella area 13 and the tabs 8-10 there is an elongated one Transition area 2 formed which a guide bore or a guide hole 4 for has an automatic crimping machine so that contacting and fixing the above described electrical conductor, which is to be connected to the socket. can be carried out automatically with a crimping machine.
- the stamped part is preferably made of a bimetal, which consists of a base material and a very good conductive material, which the Forms lamella or contact area 13 exists.
- This electrically good conductive material can also be applied to the base material in a known manner, e.g. by rolling or galvanic application.
- a resilient or resilient material e.g. Beryllium copper, chosen. which one after inserting or removing the plug pin from the socket into the Initial state springs back.
- material for the lamella or contact area 13 For example, silver or especially gold comes into consideration.
- the stamped part 15 shown in FIG. 1 becomes the one shown in FIG. 2 as follows Embodiment of the plug socket according to the invention bent.
- the lamella area 13 is first rotated and compressed, so that the latter Type of connector typical hyperbolic course of the fins 7 results after the Lamella area 13 has been bent into the cylinder-like shape shown in FIG. 2. That is, the now obliquely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the plug socket shown in Fig. 2 running slats 7 form the shape of a hyperboloid and correspond to those in Fig. 3 used contact wires 23, so that the fins 7 arranged hyperbolically Form contact areas for a contact pin of a plug.
- the tongues 5 are folded or bent outwards in such a way that they cover the outer surface of the contact section 1 of the plug socket and in particular the slats 7 stabilize.
- the transition area 6 shown in FIG. 1 between the lamella area 13 and the tongues 5 in the case of the plug socket shown in FIG. 1 shown stamped part 15 has been produced, an upper bending edge 6.
- the pairs of tabs 8-10 are finally bent as shown in FIG. 2 in order to (with With the help of the tabs 8 and 9) a conductor which can be connected to the plug socket is electrically connected contact or (using the tabs 10) to fix this conductor.
- the tabs 8 and 9 form a crimp connection with the conductor.
- the tabs 10 are in the Form a crimp bent to the insulation jacket of the electrical conductor reach around and fix.
- the tabs 8-10 thus form a fastening section 3, while the tongues 5 and the slats 7 the contact section already mentioned Form 1 of the socket shown in Fig. 2.
- the plug socket according to the invention on very can be produced in a simple manner without the above-described excellent electrical and mechanical properties of a HYPCON connector get lost.
- the plug socket according to the invention designed in one piece so that the material costs can be minimized.
- the plug socket according to the invention is bent from a single stamped part, which previously punched out of an electrically conductive material, for example a bimetal has been. The manufacture of the plug socket according to the invention is thus opposite the prior art shown in Fig. 3 significantly simplified and cheaper and can especially fully automated.
